The salon is super clean, small, and really inviting. I went in about four weeks ago as a walk in around 4:30 on a Sunday and was taken right away. No wait at all. My skin has become really sensitive over the past few years, so I have to be careful with nail services. The last place I went to didn't really understand that, so I came in a little nervous. I started with a pedicure with no polish and no cutting, just cleaning and filing, and T followed that exactly. He also gave me one of the best leg and foot massages I've had in a long time. Then came my hands. I wanted something over my natural nails and asked about hybrid options. I explained all my concerns to Emily, the technician, who is amazing. She really listened, walked me through different options, and made it clear that if I felt any discomfort at all we would stop immediately. She was so careful the entire time. Every single step. She made sure not a drop of product touched my skin. I'm sure this ended up being one of the longest French manicures she's ever done, but she never rushed me or made me feel like a problem. She told me there's a two week guarantee on French manicures and to come back if anything chipped, but it's been four weeks and they still look beautiful. No itching, no dryness, no irritation at all. I'm actually going back tonight and this time I'm doing my toes too. Safe to say I found my spot.

I didn't feel rushed but also didn't spend hours on a set either. So I recommend early morning if you want a relaxed vibe! Later in the afternoon/evening is a bit busier. The first time the nail tech asked me if I wanted a manicure too, I said yes, she had me soak my nails and then said it would be like 20 minutes for a manicure with another tech because she had another customer coming in. I politely said, "nevermind" and left. The last time I went for a pedicure (regular) and my polish was still not dry 4 hours later and now has an imprint of a sock. And each time, the pedicure is just ok. The cuticle care is lacking for sure. The overall vibe of the salon is nice, it's just an "ok" place.

I drive all the way from Downtown just to see him, and tbh I'd follow him anywhere. Lux Nails Spa is his own shop right on Horizon close to the freeway so it's really easy to get to. He has done all the Interior work all by himself, and it looks great! So clean and nice! Dong can do it all. I used to have really really long stiletto nails and would often get custom nail art. Now I have to have short nails, but he still makes them look perfect. For the level of talent in the nail art, the price is VERY good. I usually just let him decide what to do with my nails, but if I ever bring in an idea or picture he's really great at making it happen. I would call or text Dong to make an appointment because it's mostly just him at the shop, and he books up fast. However there's usually another person there to take walk ins if he's not available. He's got acrylic, gel x, builder gel, dipping powder, and whatever else there is out there. He keeps up with the latest trends. With the amount of Gen Z nail-fluencers out there charging a crazy amount for pretty basic nails, you're way better off coming to see Dong. His prices are always fair and the personal care you get is priceless.
