honestly shocked these are licensed nail technicians. The quality was really disappointing, especially compared to the photos they post...you'd expect much better. The tech working on my nails didn't understand what I was asking for, even though I kept referring back to the inspo picture the whole time. I completely understand that not everyone's first language is English, but if you're providing a service that requires communication, there needs to be some way to clearly understand the client. At one point, another tech had to use Google Translate just to help us communicate which o my made things worse( I should have left at that point!). I've been doing dip for 6 years on natural nails. My salon must of started using poor quality dip products, because my nails started breaking and chipping after only a few days. So I have tried several other salons. I tried your salon the owner did my nails. After him trying to convince me that I should start doing gel which cost more. I told him I've been doing dip for six years and it's always worked better than gel for me. I've tried gel in the past and I chipped it within two days. Within 3 days my nails peeled the top layer and started breaking of them I am very upset and disgusted in your salon. He charged me $50 to only last for 3 days. I definitely will never come back. I got a pedicure here on Monday and ended up with a painful, inflamed wound on my heel from overly aggressive callus removal. I spoke up during the service, but it was ignored. Days later, my foot is still sore and visibly damaged (photos attached). This was not just uncomfortable -- it was careless and unsafe. I won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional or hygienic experience. Been going here for years with my daughters for girls day pedicures and special occasions. The place is always extremely clean and inviting. My girls love that they always have HGTV playing lol. A couple weeks ago I fell on my hands and jammed 3 of my fingers while wearing home press on nails. When I took off my press on nails, I was horrified to discover that 3 of my nails were broken into the nail bed and the actual real nails were falling off. I spent 2 days embarrassed about my hands and in pain before I decided to come in here and see if there was anything that could be done to help me. We called ahead and were able to get a same day appointment for 3 people. Hard to do on a busy Saturday. We were greeted warmly, offered waters, and seated right away. They have a large selection of gel and regular polishes to choose from. The staff were great sports about taking care of these tough cases. The gentleman even put some elbow grease into whipping a set of "running around outside barefoot" puppies into shape. For a full gel manicure and pedicure they told us it would take 90 minutes and it took exactly that. We were pleased to be able to make our lunch reservations with plenty of time to spare. Came here this morning for a pedicure. I'm very ticklish and another nail tech and her client were laughing loudly at me from across the salon. I periodically moved my feet/legs in the water bowl to help out my nail tech while she washed me off, and she thought I was flinching away from her. She was acting shocked and rudely asked if I'm okay. Also, she cut my nails unevenly, so I asked her to cut one shorter to match the other side. I came in for Gel X nails, and the whole experience was a letdown. It took two hours, and the result was thick, uneven nails that looked nothing like what I expected. When I pointed this out, they blamed my natural nails for being too short--but they were the ones who cut them that way prior to the gel! I've had Gel X before, and I know they shouldn't be this thick. On top of that, the shape was inconsistent, making them look even worse. Definitely not worth $65. I won't be coming back. read more

I've been coming to Tippy Toes for dip manicure for over a year now and they've never failed me!! Today, Mia worked on my nails to get it ready for my wedding this Thursday and I couldn't be happier. She did a dip pink ombré on my natural nails with glitter coat, then she put silver dust on my ring fingers. I am so so happy with my nails! They really take the time to make sure everything looks good! The salon itself is very clean and socially distanced well enough for Covid restrictions. I'm not a person that gets my nails done regularly, but have been trying different spots in the last few months for the uptick in social events. Out of the last 4, this is the only place that I'm leaving a review for & will be revisiting! Came in for a gel manicure & regular pedicure ($76 without tip, cash only!!) early on a weekday so there were only a few people and no wait. Parking is paid meters btw. Tiffany did a lovely job, the almond shape I wanted is symmetrical across all my nails & my gel mani had zero imperfections (other places have left a small blemish or dark fleck). It was so refreshing to not be handled roughly or get cut, and the care she put in like making sure the edges were smooth & clean was so nice. read more

Tippy Toes is very large and has a lot of nail techs ready to go so I didn't have to wait when I had made an appointment and they didn't rush. I really appreciated that my nail tech let me know all the prices before starting and kept asking if anything hurt or if I was happy with the shape of my nails and if the colors were right. They did a really beautiful job with the shape of my nails but I had some issues about the polish. I got matte black french tips and after they finished the top coat they went back in and started filing the nails again. I didn't notice it at the time because I came in towards closing and it was dark but when i got home, I could see that all the edges and tips were worn down from the filing. Because my polish is black it is very obvious that the tips and sides of my nails were not painted. I called them and they let me know they usually give out a paper for a 10 day warranty on the nails which I never received but they were willing to have me come back. I came back and another nail tech fixed the nails on my right hand but not my left hand? I asked them to do the left hand as well but they said they didn't want to do it because it would look uneven? It's been less than two weeks since I've gotten my nails done and three of my nails are lifting. The more time that goes on, the more I realize that you can see a clear line where the fill was done and that the black on my nails is transparent in some places and the tips and edges have all worn down again. I normally do not have to go in for 3-4 weeks but my nails are lifting so much I need to get them done again. I think this is a good place to go if you're in a pinch and need a nail salon fast or if you want to get designs done but not if you want them to last a long time. read more

I came here with friends for my first time and both my friends didn't enjoy there's but my marble gel nails turned out great. The second time I went... it sucked! The elder lady done my nails, she left so many times to answer the phone and talk to other workers while doing my gel manicure. My sister who started at the same time was done over 30minutes before I finished and we both got the same service. I taught I would give it one more shot last week as a deciding visit. The lady scraped the top layer of my nail off before she started putting on the polish. The color has become totally discolored and dirty looking and my nails are already peeling. Definitely a lot better nail salons in the area. I also asked the following 2 visits about the marble effect - no one could do them again. I got my nails done today there for the first time. The lady Rosa who did my manicure had questionable customer service and really did not take her time with my nails and rushed it. My cuticles have dip powder discoloration and she did not cut my cuticles and grazed them with cuticle clipper and carelessly drilled the dip acrylic off my thumb and had to go back and redip my thumb at the end. I asked her not to file top layer of my nails using drill bit so instead she used manual file, I did not ask for my nails bed to be filed off as I have weak nails. I've never had dip acrylics in my life and I will never go back to this place again. At the end she put oil on my hands quickly massaged it in and left the oil on my hands and gave me no towel and took the one underneath me for herself so I used a napkin I had with me to wipe my fingers off. Rude customer service. I took months growing out my nails only to have them ruined by this manicure. I've added photos of really bad manicure I got. As a black woman I sometimes feel like I don't get as stellar service due to micro aggressions but this whole experience reminded me why I should've just stayed home. I received really horrible customer service and don't understand why they had this lady do my nails. No nail salon should stand by horrible manicure like this. I'll give this 2 stars because the woman at the end of the visit was nice and finished the manicure pretty well. However..... when I first arrived I asked for a dip manicure -- or gel. The man told me to get dip , it's better ... ok sold. I picked a color and sat....for a solid 5-7 (no biggie) - out of the bathroom comes this young man, on his cell -- asks me if we're doing my nails or fake nails ... I said I want a manicure with dip polish- my nails. I'll save specifics but just say he huffed and puffed -- rolled his eyes and made me feel like my presence ruined his life during the entire visit. Cold. Mad. And literally hostile. It made me so uncomfortable. I've never done it before so my hand position might have been awkward ... but scolding me, making annoyed sound effects w his mouth and telling me "relax your hand!" Is not going make me less awkward. Ok so then all of a sudden he's done-- no cuticle work, no soaking, no hot wash cloth , no nothing- gets up and goes to the back on his phone..... left my hands filthy in powder and walks away. I must of looked confused and put off -- this other woman there asked what was wrong -- i told her and she said she was sorry , she knows he's mean, and they won't charge for the manicure Just the dip.... 50$ I'm sorry what !?!?! 50 to slap this junk on, leave me filthy and treat me like garbage!?! Awesome.... I argued and said it wasn't right and she decided to give me a manicure and to come back and see them again but wait til this guy moves !?! I have a serious love-hate relationship with this place. Sometimes my nails look amazing and sometimes they look awful. This last time my nails were so bad that I didn't pay and had to go get them fixed somewhere else. I just think that people pay entirely too much money for nail services for it to be so hit or miss. The blue nails are a set I got back in 2019. All I did was show the woman a picture and she made it happen. Zero complaints. I've gone multiple times since then and had hit or miss experiences. The Pinterest picture is what I showed her and the third picture is what I got... it was bad from the start and I kept continuously asking her hey are you gonna fix this part? Are you gonna fix that part? And she just kept telling me don't worry don't worry. And this is what I got..... like I said, I didn't pay but this was two hours wasted. The last picture are the nails that I got fixed at Hillcrest Nail Lounge. The woman at the new salon filed my nails for literally 20 minutes to fix the shape, and to fix how thick they were.
