The vibe is fun, they are always nice. But the quality just isn't it. this was my 5th-6th visit and I constantly overlook the minor things almost every visit. There's always nails shorter than others, some are noticeable crooked, and the paint application is never neat and I need to come and try and clean them up myself. Tracy did a nice job with our pedicure. The salon has been updated with new chairs and flooring. Looks new! We upgraded to a sugar scrub which was relaxing and our feet ended up baby soft. Reasonable prices $35 for a standard pedicure, $50 each for our upgraded service. read more

Prices are really reasonable compared to other places I've been to. My go-to girl is Tracy. She does such an amazing job! They put plastic on the basin for foot spa, they have glass divider where they do nails, masks on. Love their choice of music. Love those hot stones they massage on my leg. And they did a good job on my nails. This might be my go to from now on. I make the drive out to Henderson because they are the only salon that can make my gel manis last. Super friendly staff & pretty (and clean!) interior. This time I asked for a soft French & she delivered exactly what I envisioned. They also sell very pretty bottles of cuticle oil infused with organic florals & crystals. I haven't gotten a mani/pedi the entire pandemic b/c I've been social distancing. But I decided enough is enough -- went to Nail Star and got a mani/pedi and it was horrific!! The reviews are correct that the staff here is super sweet. Unfortunately, I don't go to a nail salon to chit chat, I go to get my nails done. I've never had a pedicure go so fast, the gentleman was done in 20 minutes. He barely scrubbed my heels, didn't cut my cuticles at all and all my toenails are different shapes. The woman who did my manicure did an equally poor job at shaping my nails. It was so bad I had to buy tools to fix it when I got home (see the before and after photos -- the before is what I left Nail Star with and the after is after I fixed it *myself* at home). And this mani/pedi costed $50!! Again, super kind staff but horrific job. Won't be returning. read more

I'm so sad, this was my favorite nail salon for years. John and Launa were the best. I called today to make an appointment with John. I was told he was On vacation. So I asked for Launa. They made me an appointment with her for 12:30. I got there, the place was completely remodeled. My appointment wasn't with Launa. No apologies, no sorry we switched your person, no explanation. I later learned from someone else that not John and Launa are gone. I do not appreciate being lied to! Also the prices are through the roof. It use to cost $60 for a pedicure with regular polish and a gel manicure. At first, they were trying to charge me $85‍ then the new gal said $75 because she thought I got gel on my toes. Very disappointed. I loved this location so much! Beware of thinking it is the same great service and pricing. It is not. read more

I've been going here since they opened over a year ago and I'm so happy to see their continual success. They always do my nails really well, no matter who is doing them. I can tell you that every time I get my nails done from here they last so much longer than other nail salons. The gel doesn't chip or tear and I definitely suggest gel is the better way to go. I have a hard time scheduling future appointments because of my crazy work schedule, but I usually call ahead of time to make sure they have openings the day of so I'm not stuck waiting for a while because they do get really busy at times! (It's inevitable at a place that's doing really well!) I am a loyal client to Nail Star and never had a nail salon I continuously went to, until now. :-) Ps, get a punch card. Definitely not impressed. They did the bare minimum and a half ass job for a much higher price. Their tools are not even sterilized. They never asked us what kind of pedicure we wanted and said they couldn't put on lotion or really do much of anything because they can't really "touch." They had signs that clients will be 6' apart for safety, but sat me right next to someone. After she was done, they sat someone else next to me. Also, even if you make an appointment, you will still wait before and in between each rushed service. read more

Went to Nail Star for the first time last week for a manipedi and they took me in as a walk-in right away (which I was very happy about). The nail technician who did my manipedi was so nice! She was friendly, warm, and professional--and she did my nails exactly the way I like it. I would definitely go to her again. The nail salon was cozy, clean, and nicely decorated; a very positive and relaxing environment to get your nails done. The prices are pretty average for Nevada--pricey! I guess that's the going rate here, and I don't get manipedis as often as I used to, so it's okay for my budget for special occasions.
