I LOVE this place! They have the best gluten free pizza I've ever had, and Scott is always at the bar serving up the stellar drinks. Excellent service from Scott always! I love being able to support a family owned business and I'm always welcomed with a smile. The options for pizzas are endless. Chicago style, deep dish, thin crust, calzones, specially made in any way your heart desires. The waitress Cait is super pretty and so nice too, love her. If I'm feeling healthy I go for the harvest salad and it's so huge I get to take half of it home. When it comes to pizza you really get what you pay for and Rosatti's is absolutely the place to be. read more

Went in here for lunch today, and I really love this place!! Very cool atmosphere!! I love that it's a Chicago themed sports bar!! The service was really good, and the food quality was delicious!! I had their meatball appetizer and their 4 cheese ravioli, and it was great!! Overall, I really enjoy coming here, and I would recommend this place to anyone!! read more

I really wanted to enjoy a nice deep dish pie and antipasto salad. The pizza was soggy and tasted like a can of stewed tomatoes. You could not really enjoy the taste of the sausage, mushrooms or pepperoni. The salad looked nothing like the picture on line and had enough cheese for only one bite. For a dinner that was over $52 it was very disappointing. You all could learn a thing or two from BJ's. read more

Rosati's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Encinitas, California

If I could give less I would. This was our second attempt. The 1st was the week it opened and it was horrible. Tonight I saw bartender take 2 glasses of beer to the kitchen and I watched him and someone else drink them (the kitchen line is visible from the seats on the side). I then saw him cut/trim his beard hair over a table ( maybe something was stuck in it) and then walk away...never even wiping down the table. Our server was ok, the food was ok, the 2 incidents with the bartender were truly disgusting. We will never go back - ever! read more

We ordered their largest "deep dish" to go and it was the worst pizza I've ever had. It was a dry flavorless dough not even connected with the rest of the pie. The Sauce was over salted, and I mean very salty with chunks of canned tomatoes and barely any cheese. We ate a little and considered giving it away for free but it was too salty for anyone else so feel bad throwing food away but any other pizza chain would have been phenomenal compared to this pizza we got. Very disappointed to say the least and honestly no care for ingredients or quality, please abstain from their "deep dish" pizza that's not. read more

While the food was good, it was a bit expensive. This is probably not the place you want to go on a budget. As other reviewers have said, the dough nuggets were very good. read more

On Friday night, August 3, 2018, my wife and I ate at this restaurant. We enjoyed the Chicago-style thin crust pizza very much. We have looked for for that type of pizza here in California since we left the Chicago aerator San Diego area in February 1996! We met and enjoyed speaking with the owner, Mike Gordon, for about 15 minutes. It's always good to speak with other Chicago migrated folks. :-) We shall return again now that we know where to eat Chicago-style pizza here in San Diego. read more

Fantastic service by Brittany...She is 5 stars She saved the nite. Food is 2 stars max...Thin crust pizza was not good..we can get better frozen from 7-11...boneless chicken wings are all bread...sauce good, but....Chicago style food is not served here. Rosatti's in Temecula is so much better than this location...different owner in Encinitas...it is hard to find real Chicago style food in San Diego County read more

I've had a whole lot of pizza from a whole lot of places but this place takes the cake. Great atmosphere and even better pizza and wings. Oh and the beer selection is primo. read more

Another crappy franchise chain restaurant wasting real estate space in Encinitas! When I originally heard that a Chicago Style restaurant was opening in Encinitas, I have to admit, I was excited. After eating there my excitement has dissipated and I am back to reality. First off the food was simply put, awful. I had an combo Italian Beef w/ sausage and French Fries as a side. It was hands-down one of the worst sandwiches I've ever tasted. It tasted like the cook dumped a whole jar of salt on both the sandwich and fries. In fact, I could not even finish the meal because it was so salty and disgusting. On top the bad food it seemed like the staff was more interested in gossiping amongst each other about how wonderful the place will be once they get there alcohol license and not paying attention to the food quality and guests. The icing on the cake was what seemed to be the "owner" happened to be sitting next to me at the bar talking to some "blow heart rude guy" about how much they will be able to mark up the cost of beer on guests once they have an alcohol license in the establishment. FYI... Currently they can not serve beer! The owner obviously saw me dissatisfied with the food and must have noticed that I sent the salty french fries back however he never even acknowledged the situation or me what so ever. All in all... In my opinion this place will be out of business with in a year! Save your money and take the extra time to drive down to Lefty's downtown for quality Chicago Style food! read more

We're from Chicago, and this is the best pizza we've had in years! We got the Fabulous Four, thin crust and it was amazing! Shared Chicago stories with the owner, great guy! We will definitely be going back! read more

I really wanted to like this place. I love Chicago style pizza and was thrilled when they opened. However, I've now eaten their pizza twice. The first time it was very average. Nothing special. No corn meal crust. But it was still better than the non-existent competition in north county. However, the second time it was a joke. I'm not usually one to complain at restaurants and I don't really take the time to write negative reviews on here very often but for $31.00 I was treated to this Chicago style deep dish pizza: http://i.imgur.com/DepK8GT.jpg Their cheese and sauce was almost non-existent and the toppings were barely present. For the same price I could have gotten three pizzas (at least) from any of the other chains in Encinitas. Again, I REALLY wanted to like this place but instead they managed to create the first pizza to ever actually make me angry... quite an accomplishment! Very disappointing. read more

I am originally from Chicago and I have finally found an authentic Chicago pizza in the San Diego area. The deep dish pizza is fantastic. It is the REAL DEAL. I plan to return again and again. read more

OMG the deep dish is amazing! Employees are super nice. Delivery can take a while but worth the wait, or better yet pick it up and grab a beer while you wait. Rosati's is part of our regular dinner rotation. read more

We gave Rosati's a chance to right the ship and they didn't pull through. Too bad. Here's a summary of our experience. Friday, 6:40pm, party of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids. They seat us in the far back corner, busy restaurant. 1. We are not offered kid menus. Other tables with kids have paper and crayons. 2. Over 15 minutes pass seated, no server. 3. I get up, ask for drink menus and kid menus, ask for our server. 4. Server comes. We order everything. 5. 10 more minutes, no wine, no beer. I get up and our drinks are at the bar, sitting for a loooong time. I take them to our table. Notice an owner, and tell her of our experience so far. She says she'll take care of it. 6. Server brings salad, leaves and there are no utensils. I get up again, ask for utensils. We eat salad. 7. Owner #2 comes by, offers us free dessert. We say it depends on how long this takes. Asks what we ordered. 8. Food arrives. 2 kids dishes, pasta, pizza. Our pizza was wrong. We asked for double crust and got thin. 9. When food came out our server asked if we want anything else. We ordered 1 beer. By the time we were done eating, the beer still hadn't arrived. 10. I got up to tell the server to forget the beer, ask for our check and to-go boxes. 11. When I get back beer was delivered. 12. Check arrived, they offered the 1 beer on the house, which wasn't consumed and should have been cancelled and took 15% off our dinner. Horrible experience. read more

After hearing all of the raves about this place I caved and finally made my way in. I came in and ordered food for to-go and they were pretty busy so I sat down, watched my Pats and enjoyed a beer. Liked the vibe so much I invited a friend to join me for another and hung out even after my food was ready. Food quality was awesome and the prices were pretty solid! Shared some of my food with the family and they were convinced that we will all be returning in the near future! Glad I found this gem! read more

This new Chicago style pizzeria / sports pub was a great find. Opened only a week ago and the food, service and ambiance were superb. I ordered lasagna and loved the marinara sauce. Tangy and rich like I like. The noodles were individually light and thin. The side salad with balsamic vinaigrette was fresh and crisp and a generous portion for a side salad. I ordered my typical Arnold Palmer only because beer is not here yet but was told by Mike, the owner, that they anticipate beer and wine within 2 weeks. Looking forward to returning to try one of there numerous beers. I did not count but it looked like there was over 2 dozen taps!!! The whole restaraunt is surrounded by windows so it feels very airy inside. The TV's are mounted up high so they are not in your face all of the time but easy to see anywhere in the restaurant. Our server Summer was delightful and attentive. read more

Our second time getting a deep dish spinach pizza at rosati's. This time we sat at the bar for beers and appetizers while waiting for the pizza to take home. The bartender, who also took our pizza order, came to us and explained that after 45 minutes, our deep dish pizza was nowhere to be found. We said 'no problem, it happens, we've had it before and we'll be back'. He said 'let me take one more look'. And out he came with our pizza saying it was sitting in a place he didn't look. So we get home and find out what he actually gave us was a cheese pizza with a few spinach leaves sprinkled on top. We were okay with the error, but not the lying. We are never going back to this rosati's again and suggest you not go to a place that treats customers so poorly Regards Paul read more

Had lunch today at Rosati's. What a disappointment of a meal. The thin crust pizza was floating in a liquid, that may have been tomatoe sauce, I am not sure. The Chicago Italian Beef sandwich was tasteless and about as fresh as the salad, which was old enough to vote. Never going there again, and I advise you to not too. read more

Was here for lunch yesterday and was disappointed for sure. First the place smells like a dive bar. Not appealing at all. Ordered Italian beef, fries and coke. Price was good at $9.99 for lunch special Meat was ok, and the roll was not appealing to me at all. I was rather crunchy. Fries we hot and the best part of the meal. I grew up in Chicago and I know what Italian beef should be and this i'm sorry to say isn't it read more

What?? I ordered a16 inch thin crust pizza with 2 toppings for $24. Went to pick it up and was told that it was burnt and to come back in 15 minutes. Okay. Returned after 15 minutes to get my pizza. As a "bonus" for the bother they gave me both the fresh and burnt pizza. They were both really crappy! Very generous on their part. Not to complain, but this place is truly subpar. Avoid it. read more

Food was a bit expensive and way too salty. Also took 45 minutes to get the pizza. We took a friend here because he was craving deep dish, and one pizza with 3 toppings cost us $34. Staff was very friendly and helpful, though. read more

We enjoyed the Red Wine but the emphasis still seemed to be on craft beer. Good appetizers. Good Happy Hour. We will be back.

We were so excited to see this place come to town! The food is great! The owner always seems to be there working hard and interacting with his customers. I LOVE a great italian beef sandwich, and their sandwich is definitely a win! Their thin crust sausage pizza is always amazing and we LOVE their dough nuggets. read more

Great food and a great place to bring the family. Being from Chicago, I've been waiting for a place like this to open up in North County for years. The deep dish is very good but not quite as deep as you might expect from a typical deep dish from the usual Chicago pizza joints. The sauce is perfect and the sausage is as good as it gets however. Also had the thin crust and was more than impressed. It is the best thin crust in North County San Diego. The outside patio is a great spot for kids to stretch out and be loud without bothering the other patrons. Lots of TV's, they play the NFL games on Sundays and they have local beers on tap. Also, spoke with the owner, Mike, who clearly takes pride in his product and business. Looking forward to coming back. read more

A friend suggested we try something new so we went here for dinner. Big mistake. Unbelievably slow and uninformed service, multiple order mistakes and mediocre food at best. This place reminded me of a Chili's without all the junk on the walls. There are so many better pizza places in town (Flippin being one of the best), that I don't know why anyone would come here. I suppose if you like Chicago "pizza" (which is basically like a casserole more than pizza), then maybe this place is for you. Two thumbs down. read more
