Despite ordering the pizza at 3:53pm, asking for it to arrive at 5:00pm, my pizza didn't get delivered until 5:54. The pizza wasn't worth the wait either. The crust was hard and the the topping and the taste was bland. It was supposed to be a delicious double dough pep, saus, and mushroom pizza and I was disappointed. read more

We tried the double dough crust and a deep dish crust, both were excellent. Good service and atmosphere. I highly recommend Rosati's Pizza!

Rosatti's is real Chicago pizza--and that's a good thing! My wife and I have tried a lot of pizza since we moved out from the Chicago suburbs 20+ years ago but we never really found anything that tasted authentic--we always had to wait for a trip back home to satisfy that craving. No longer! The pizza is great--either thick or thin crust and best of all you can pair it with great craft beers on tap! Chicagoans--this is the place you've been looking for--everyone else, stop by and see what all the fuss about Chicago-style pizza is all about--thick crust yes--but also super thin crust cut in squares! read more

I came in for lunch with my son on Saturday. Guys day out and we decided to try Rosati's. First impression is a nice cool laid back dining room. Great selection of beer but alas I couldn't have a one, too early in the day. We had the 10" Chicago style deep dish with Italian sausage. We were floored at how good it was! The tomatoes and cheese were great! Crust was really nice, very crispy, just what I like! We will be coming back with the rest of our clan so that we all enjoy Rosati's goodness! read more

My son said it's the best spaghetti he's ever had, I agree. The sauce and atmosphere area great. Smiling staff and good food.

Great food! I would defiantly recommend ordering their version of loaded fries... no your typical loaded fri experience!! We ordered their deep dish with onions, mushrooms and Italian sausage. Crust was SO GOOD! Spaghetti and meat balls were on point. Sauce had perfect flavor. read more

My whole positive experience was eclipsed by the fact that the blonde waitress has her dog in the restaurant and pets it throughout the shift. I do hope she washes her hands when getting food. I will return but will turn back outside if I see this dog here again. Yuck! Someone call the health department! Love dogs but not near my pie... read more

This is amazing pizza and fast delivery. We've made this a must have whenever we have a working dinner. Check them out!

Ordered the gluten free deep dish with pepperoni, mushroom and extra cheese. And the server we had recommended the wings with a mix of hot and mango habanero. Both were excellent! Took advantage of the Yelp offer for the dough bites. They were good too, big generous portion ! Second time eating here and it's been great. Don't understand the bad reviews. You are warned the pizza takes a bit of time. read more

I'm a regular at this restaurant not only because of their great food & beer selection (30 beers on tap) but the servers/bartenders really make this place a win when it comes to customer service! Kelli & Danika are great & will definitely take care of you. Highly recommend this Chicago joint. read more

The most delicious gluten free pizza I've ever had! Yum. Service from Melody was excellent. She's amazingly fast in a super busy place and friendly and efficient. Lots of beers on tap. The flight is a great way to taste a few. 10/10. read more

Solid Chicago-style pizza joint. I was born and raised in the Western suburbs of Chicago, so I am very familiar with Rosati's. I've always liked their thin crust and that's what we ordered and it met my expectations of what I used to get back home. I'll have to come back and try some other things on the menu, especially the beef until there's a portillo's closer than Moreno Valley. read more

Just ordered a spaghetti and meatballs dish as well as a Chicago dog for my son. Both dishes were delicious and ready to pickup quickly. For authentic Chicago taste that is budget friendly, give Rosati's a try. read more

Went twice. Wasn't impressed with food or service. Deep dish is ok but I was terribly disappointed in the double crust on 2nd visit. Had one slice. read more

Best thin crust pizza in the San Diego area. Speak to any Midwestern transplant and they'll tell you the pizza on the west coast is flat out bad. In and around Chicago, most people like the thin crust variety, not deep dish, and you can never find a local place that offers this thin style. Don't get me wrong their deep dish is excellent as well and we order it often. But the thin variety is the go-to and can't easily be found but Rosati's gets it right. It is a little slice of the Midwest that found a home in California. Best pizza in Encinitas and Carlsbad hands down. Other local places try to be fancy but taste like they just go through the motions. Most people around here prefer Dominos gtfoh read more

Thank god for this place. Great customer service && finally a place to have real Chicago thin crust pizza. You never know how much chi is known for their thin crust until you can't find anything like it anywhere around here-- && it's cut into squares ugh my heart melts. Get it well done & the cornmeal ratio is fabulous.. anything else is too much cornmeal. Haven't tried their deep dish but when I get a pizza craving.. I'm always going here. read more

Rosati's Pizza - Deep dish with pepperoni, sausage and red onion. - Pizza Near Me - Encinitas, California

I'm torn on this review because there were some pros and cons to my experience and overall I wasn't satisfied. I arrived with my son around 5:00 and there was a wait. I put my name on a list and was told I was 3rd up. Meanwhile, I watched some tables empty and they were filled by some others that appeared to be waiting. Knowing that I was 3rd I thought I was next but then I saw a group come in. They clearly were regulars because they were talking to some employees. Of course they got the next available table. My son and I went to the front to ask about our table and all of the sudden the person who I left my name with played dumb and told me to go talk to someone else about my table. I thought that was pretty unprofessional. After waiting another 5 minutes and commenting on the group that came in after me, we got a table. I immediately tried to order my pizza knowing it would take a while but it took another 15 minutes for my server to come. My wife and younger son were hungry and ordered the Rosati's Fries. Again, another long wait. The person next to me who sat down well after I did got her appetizers before our fries came. On to the food. The Rosati's fries sucked. First of all for the price, the portion size was small. The Italian Beef tasted dry and over cooked. The fries, a very small portion, were very soggy. I definitely wouldn't order this again. Finally our pizza arrived. Now we had to track down our server again because no one brought us silverware. We got a deep dish with half pepperoni and half cheese. Having been to Chicago many times, I have been to almost every great pizza place in the city and North Shore. The flavor was good, the sauce add flavorful and had the larger chunks of tomato's. The crust was tasty but very soft and soggy. Because this experience took so long, my wife took the boys home so I could wait and pay. Without thinking about the cost because I wanted this experience to be over, I realized that I was overcharged. The server specifically told me about the Happy Hour deals but didn't apply the discount. Overall, my experience was not that good and a little disappointing. I liked the pizza so I may get one for takeout in the future. If I could, I would rate this restaurant a 2.5 stars but I'm being generous. read more

Being from Chicago we really enjoyed the pizza at Rosati's in Encinitas. It was the exactly the same pizzas we had at our Local Rosati's. We had the delicious pizza 4 times. Unfortunately, the 5th time wasn't a charm. They really skimped on the cheese. I wish that they would be consistent. Yesterday we took a ride and passed Rosati's and I'm sad to say that we drove past it & had pizza at some other place. I hope that some day I will be able to give it another chance! read more

We love going to Rosati's when we're in the mood for pizza. They have both Chicago style deep dish as well as thin crust and they are equally delicious. Their chicken wings are great - I highly recommend that you order them extra crispy. Unfortunately their dough nuggets are addicting. I didn't even want to share them with my 3- and 6-year olds because I wanted them for myself. Seriously. They're amazing. I want to go right now and get a whole basket for myself as I type this. You have to order them! The service has always been friendly. And it's kind of loud inside due to sports on the TV's, so it's a great place to go with children since no one will hear them whining/crying/complaining, etc. :-) read more

30 beer taps, mostly local microbrews: very good. Scott, fantastically-bearded bartender: excellent. The penne a la vodka: decent. The cheese-only lasagna: mediocre. Make sure to ask for meat sauce. Or, best option yet: order no other food than the Godfather. It's *excellent*. Gourmet Italian sausage, fresh garlic, onion & Rosati's hot giardiniera. read more

We stopped by on a Tuesday evening and picked up a 14" pizza to go. It was half the standard cheese and half with pepperoni and sausage. It was one of the better pizza's I've had recently, but not quite sure it's worth the premium price (around $20). read more

found this Chicago based pizzeria about a year ago. It has gradually become my go to eating place when I'm on my own food wise. Not even close best pizza in the area. At least thirty bets on tap, most of the current releases of local and regional craft beers, not just same old main stream beers. Tonight I wasn't hungry enough to get a pie or the wings or meatballs, my holy triad, so I tried the dough nuggets. Basically, fried pieces of pizza dough, coated with oregano, Parmesan, garlic butter and whatever dipping sauce you like. I'll try to put in a pic. Waay more than I can eat. Great deal. Best folks behind the bar in Encinitas. Definitely has a family feel, the good kind. No down sides here. Good food, good vibe, occasionally free music. I'm a fan boy read more
