Ordered take out of a gluten free pepperoni pizza. It was a thin crust pizza but had a great crispy texture for gluten free. The pepperoni had a good strong flavor and I really enjoyed the pizza. Would definitely order from here again! read more

5 stars for service but the food was okay. The guy was super nice and friendly. Inside seating available and soda machine nearby. I think the pizzas would have tasted a lot better if we ate them fresh from the oven and eaten right away. By the time we got home, the dough was hard and tough. The toppings were good but it was hard to bite down. The crust was rock solid. If it wasn't for the dough, we would have loved the pizzas. The overall flavors and toppings were delicious. Incorrect hours! Ordered food from these guys through here and went to pick up to find out they were closed. The next day I went back and they had not put the order in nor refunded me, super shady. I got there garlic knots and they were overly saturated in oil to the extent of unenjoyable. I would not recommend or try again, as overall they just weren't even ...good! Hi , I bought two too good to go food orders from Flippin Pizza when I arrived they did not have the food that I was supposed to receive. This is the second time it has happened to me. Such an inconvenience. The manager was rude. Then I asked to talk to the owner and he was rude as well and would not let me speak and tell him what's going on, I paid over six dollars per order. When the owner stated their pizzas cost three dollars to make. They should've taken care of the customer provided some other food for which they were not prepared. Would not go back there ever again just because the service is no good , rude , and condescending The owner Jason Bennett is rude and doesn't care about his customers being satisfied. Edit: We drove back to return the salad. Management was very nice and apologetic. We declined a new salad and expected simply a refund for the salad, however they comped the pizza as well. Stopped in and had a solid pepperoni slice. It could have had cheese and pepperoni with a little more flavor but overall it was solid and wouldn't hesitate to stop and grab a slice here again when in the area. Also, 2 slices and a soda for $10.25 is an unbeatable deal these days. read more

The owner Jason Bennet Black list customers from delivery orders for not leaving a tip for the delivery driver. It's especially shocking during these times of Covid-19 that a company would black list customers for something this petty. A lot of people right now during these unfortunate times are even lucky enough to have the money to eat out at all. I called the Encinitas location to let them know that the cheese on the pizza was over cooked and the pizza had no sauce on it at all. The Pizza also arrived cold. It was like eating rubber and I couldn't get past eating the first few bites. The manager Anthony said, "do you like your cheese soggy?" that was his response to my complaint which was very unprofessional and rude. After asking if I could either have them remake the pizza or refund my money since this pizza was going into the trash he said, he would give me a free pie on my next order. A few minutes later I get a call back from Anthony saying that he talked to the owner and the owner is Black listening me from future deliveries for not leaving a tip for the delivery driver. I can't believe that a company would Black list customers for not leaving a delivery driver tip. It's completely shocking and disturbing to me. Anthony also said that the owner told him that he called me and told me that customers are required to leave a tip but I never talked to Jason Bennett. I was also told that I've never left a tip for the delivery driver and that's a lie. I leave a tip when They give good service and in this case they did not meet my expectations. When I asked Anthony to look at my account, he said that he did not see an account for me and he could not see my past orders. I have not ordered from Flippin Pizza in like 6 to 8 month so where is the prof that I've never left a tip? The pizza quality has been so bad and that's why I stopped ordering from them but decided to give them another chance. Big mistake obviously. I'm Black listing Flippin' Pizza from my list of restaurants that I will be ordering from in the future. Like me, I'm sure you will lose a lot of other customers once they realize that they are forced to leave a tip or be Black listed from future deliveries. That's really bad for business and customer retention. If you really cared about your employees then you would pay them more money instead of relying on the customer to leave them tips to compensate their income. This was the worst pizza ever, and the customer service even worse. I can understand mistakes but when I called it to their attention they denied it was burnt. They said they pulled it when it was bubbling but it was clearly burnt. It was also missing ingredients and they made excuses rather than making it right. I was happy to find a pizza joint that serves thin-crust pizza. I used the online ordering site but it was not working correctly. Because I thought it was odd that I did not receive any kind of order confirmation, I called the restaurant and found out the order had not gone through. I was told the site was not working, so management knew it, but there was no indication of that fact on the site itself. If I had not called, we would have sat and waited for pizza that was never going to arrive. I *hate* having to call to order anything. I love efficient, online ordering that provides me the same choices I would have if I called in to order or ordered in-person. Nevertheless, the young man on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Our pizza was made accurately and delivered still hot. It was not, "Wow!" pizza, but it was pretty good. The one time we picked up slices in the restaurant because we did not have 50-60 minutes to wait for delivery, we chose a variety of slices for a group of people. None of the slices were as good as the pizza we'd had delivered because all of them were a little dry and tough, like they'd been sitting there shriveling under hot lights for a while. I'm giving four stars for the availability of thin crust, correctly made orders, good customer service on the phone, and timely delivery. I am deducting a star for the malfunctioning ordering site that would have left us without dinner had I not called to check on it, and for the less-tasty to-go slices. I'll continue ordering freshly made pizza, but skip the ready-to-go slices, unless it is a pizza emergency. read more

I go to Flippin' at Oceanside and Vista and it's one of favorite go-tos in North County. First time in Encinitas and it was bad experience so I had to share I came in and the worker was on their phone in the back so I had to wait a bit, no biggie but not a good start. The issues I had were the little things. Soda machine not filled, Parmesan bottles needed refill. I needed a napkin and they were out in multiple locations. My pizza was in the oven too long and the crust was overly toasted (burnt). Lastly, the trash bag was not even placed around the rim so I couldn't throw it away properly. Not a one star because the pizza is good. Keep your expectations low for this place. read more

This has to be the best pizza I've had in San Diego County. They have a variety of signature pizzas on the menu as well individual slices with garlic knots. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and another one of cheese only. With a small side of garlic knots. The garlic knots did lack a little bit of flavor but nonetheless good. Don't let the prices get you, it's worth it. My total for the 2 slices and the knots were 14.50 and it included a drink. read more

This is the man who told me to "get the F### out!" (Yelled actually) because I asked why he doesn't use gloves when picking up your pizzas and garlic bread-bites with his bare hands., during the COVID-19 Pandemic. At first he charged my card and then reached to the food and put it in a box. he could have easily used at least a napkin to hold up the slices, but instead decided grab the garlic bites like he picks up a bunch of rocks, squeezing with every m"m of the palm of his hand. Same hands that touch his own face (and bunch of other things) all day long. Go figure. VERY Professional for a..."General Manager". When I asked him about it he immediately start giving me attitude and walked around the counter as if he was about to punch me. Never mind he would have gotten a receipt and punched much worse if that was the case. There was another customer that had to stop him. I think the same customer also left, Long story short, He wouldn't give me his name when I asked, probably because he was scared, but HE's the one who gave me the idea and "GO ON YELP! say whatever you wanna say!".. So here I am. Expressing my concern. And that's not even how I found this place, I was just driving around looking for food. Apparently this food can get you sick. Had only he apologized nicely, I would have left quietly. And I didn't want to take the food, ESPECIALLY after the "HERE'S your F#####g pizza, and smashed it in the tray all pissed off. ...His ego was shattered.. Son, think 5 times before you say something like that to a customer! Because you wouldn't last 2 weeks working for me! maybe when you get older you'll understand. ..Child! He pretends to be the general manager now, 3 minutes after saying he's the owner.. He refused to give me the money back, so I just had to wait till the credit applied back to the account, not even knowing if it'll ever happen. Never apologized, nothing. Shame to the franchise. Just a shame. I'll take off the review when I get a verbal apology only from the man himself. Anything else is just not good enough. UPDATE: 2 weeks after posting this review I went back to the store to give this kid another chance to make the corrections and to apologize. Yet he didn't take it. This little boy was given a golden opportunity to turn things around as if it's never happened. And he threw it aside like it was nothing. This is probably one of the fewer things that are almost impossible to ever happen, EXTREMELY rare. I don't know any other person other than me that would do such a thing, drive out 20mi just to accept an apology to remove this. The boy's reaction was even worse than before. This should be unacceptable to any employer. In this case the one responded "Jason" said he "heard" me cussing on the video. Perhaps Jason would like to explain how could he have heard the F-bombs, when we all know there's never any Audio on this thing. I guess it's just my words against theirs. read more

I would love to review the food here! I got their pizza in San Marcos and it is pretty good. We ordered from here on DoorDash and waited one hour, When the restaurant suddenly canceled the order because they were too busy and told DoorDash they could not fill it. It would have been nice if they were not listing themselves on the system, or if they had canceled the order in a minute or two, not after an hour. Hopefully they did not have a mishap and everyone is safe. Ordered 4 sides of ranch. Delivery guy says they're in the box. They aren't. I get if you forget them, but how the fuck are you going to explicitly claim they're in there?? Guess you gotta ignore them and just verify yourself before they leave. The pepperoni rollups are vastly different, and not nearly as good, as the La Costa location. They're like pillsbury crescent rolls instead of little dough balls filled with delicious cheese+pepperoni. read more

Outstanding! The dining area has just the right atmosphere, the pies were great. You can do 1/2 and 1/2 of any of the pizzas so you can try them all. The pepperoni roll-ups and garlic knots were great too. All of the ingredients were fresh and it was a great experience. read more

What happened to this place? The Pizza is thin crust but usually tasty and chewy with plenty of Mozarella This time I got a large cracker with a little cheese on it. Thin hard crust with hardly any Mozarella, instead of oil dripping down my hand I got nothing. This was a dead flat pizza with no taste. If this is the way things are now, guess I'll be looking for another Pizza Place again. Disappointed to say the least. read more
