Their thin pizza is LEGIT Chicago-style thin. I'm originally from Chicago so I definitely know. We had their deep dish (not stuffed--deep dish!) and it was decent but I definitely prefer the thin. They also have real Chicago giardinera, which we love as a topping. read more

Rosati's is good, but not great...They could be so much better if they made the concious choice to do so... We recieved a deep dish pizza that looked and tasted awful...we sent that back because the dough was raw, undercooked, wallpaper paste... Then the second pizza came out perfect with a beautiful look and flavor... read more

Another great pizza spot in the ENC. Pizza itself is great. Atmosphere is sport bar obviously. Service was slower than I'd like. Good place for kids. Make sure to take advantage of the Yelp check in deal. read more

Love this place! They have a great selection of craft beer & the staff is exceptional & friendly. Best Chicago food around. It has such a fun atmosphere. We take our family there at least once a month. You can't beat Wing Wednesdays and the dog friendly patio is a bonus! read more

Everyone makes pizza a bit differently. Even Chicagoans don't agree on what's best. This thick crust pizza is like you went to someone's house and got to eat Momma's pizza. The crust is light and airy, the tomatoes and sauce fresh and tomatoey, and the cheese gooey and stringy like it is supposed to be. The Dough Nuggets appetizer was insane! Puffy golden dough pockets tossed in garlic butter and spices and served with marinara. When the beer starts flowing this will be a favorite. 30 taps as soon as the state says OK. read more

Rosati's Pizza - 14" deep dish, 1/2 sausage, 1/2 Italian Beef, with mushrooms. Yum! - Pizza Near Me - Encinitas, California

Man, I like this place! I've been living with a vacuous, sucking hole in my life where my favorite sports-bar/pizza joint should have been for all these years, and I didn't even know it! Rosati's has really good Chicago style pizza and other Italian fare, an impressive beer list and an extremely friendly staff. The Owner even came over chatted it up with my lady-friend and I over Monday Night Football (alas, the Bears lost the day before - Robbie Gould you broke my heart!) before buying us each a beer! Super welcoming. Good food. There are literally like 15 televisions. This place is a keeper. read more

My fiance and I love this place! If you are craving TRUE Chicago style pizza - you will not be disappointed! My fiance is from the mid-west (a hockey player) and knows his Chicago style pizza. We have traveled extensively together and always make a point of getting Chicago pizza when we are in his hometown. We were so thrilled to stumble upon this place here in Encinitas and it not only delivers EXCELLENT and AUTHENTIC Chicago style pizza but it delivers the best customer service, atmosphere (colorful/lively environment) with the best local California micro-brews on tap - AND, last but not least HOCKEY on any channel any sport you want to watch! It is FAMILY owned and these people GET IT! REAL PIZZA & REAL PEOPLE! We are officially regulars here - our new hometown pizza pub! Matt and Mimi read more

Best tasting pizza we've ever had! We had the classic combo with extra garlic and there was no shortage of garlic! Seemed a little pricey but compared to other pizza parlors it was worth it! We will be regulars without a doubt. read more

First thing you feel when walking in the door is welcome. The hostess took care of us immediately. After being seated, our waitress was right there to take our drink order. Glancing at the giant listing of beers makes it easy to spot a favorite. We ordered a large all meat with one half anchovies pizza. The little woman hates the tiny fish. I love em and they were plentiful. The crust was crisp and the toppings and cheese plentiful. We took some home so we could enjoy desert. The Manager/owner Marci dropped by to ask how everything was. No complaints from this happy couple of pizza lovers. A+++ read more

This is our go-to for our son's team gatherings and also for just hanging out with friends. The service can be slow but the food and staff are always great. The dough-nuggets are amazing and they have an awesome beer selection. The pizza is also great. Love this place. read more

I cant give 5 stars to a place that just opened and ive been once for lunch, but maybe next time. Got the Cheef beef sandwich with hot peppers. The pepper mix includes green olives wich i dont really like but thats my bad for not paying enough attention to the menu. The sandwich is hot and a little sloppy. Its dripping quite a bit when you get it and is already sitting ina pool of it juices so the bottom of the bun is soaked. Good though. Went there on a recommendation of a friend fromChicago where this place is from. Need to try the authentic deepdish pizza read more

It took me long enough to discover this neighborhood gem in North County. I love, love, love deep dish pizza, and I assumed for years that the only good option I had was Lefty's...which is no immediate gratification for a Del Martian. As soon as a friend clued me in, my husband and I ordered a Chicago style (sausage and onions) pizza for pick up and went to town. It was totally good and totally hit the spot. We got our deep dish fix! read more

So nice to have some familiar pizza out here! Delivery is always on time, pizza is super hot and tastes sooo good!! Pizza, wings just like we remember from the Rosati's in the Chicagoland area. read more

We were looking forward to this place opening near the house. We've been in for dinner twice now. Just in case our first experience was an off night. The only way I could rate their pizza as delicious would be if someone slipped me drugs. Or if I was drunk. Dear gawd. Let's be real. Their pizza tastes as though it was made with Prego as the sauce. Even our kids refused to finish this lackluster pizza. I refused to waste it and boxed it up to go home. They refused to finish it at home the next day. Our daughter and I both adore cheesy lasagna. On our second visit in we ordered a plate to share. It tasted as though it was made by a Barbie doll. Not cheesy at all. Inedible. Plastic. This would be a good place to go to catch a ballgame on t.v. while swigging a cold one. That's the most generous possibility I can give them. Mediocre food but nice cold beer. I was baffled by all of the raves for this place until I noticed the raving reviews thanking them for a Yelp Event. Oh yeah...I get it. A few slices of free pizza and unlimited free drinks. No wonder all of the raving Yelp reviews. I scrolled through their other reviews on here. Interesting that their management fawns over every person who posted a glowing review and simply turns a deaf ear to every customer who was less than pleased. Noteworthy and a disappointment. This tells me they simply don't care to listen and improve by honest customer feedback. Free parking and lots of it. read more

Absolutely in love! Not a huge pizza fan, however since my hubby introduced me to this new spot definitely changing my mind. So far we have dined in and had delivery service both went very smoothly. Keep in my the Chicago style pizza(super bomb) takes 30-40 minutes to cook. But it is 100% worth it. read more

Not sure what happened. Ordered food to go. Should have checked the pizzas before I left. They were really underdone and did not taste good at all. I'm really disappointed. It's been a few years since I've been here and the food and service used to be good. read more

i love this Chicago themed sports bar. definitely a place to go if you a Chi-town native. the spot wasn't that busy , and they only had 3 ladies serving and working the bar, kudos to them. i ordered the jumbo buffalo wings and a Chicago deep dish pizza. the wings weren't actually "jumbo" they were just regular sized . the pizza was actually pretty good. just wish it was a bit more crispy . overall , very solid place. read more

Bomb garlic knots and wings. Good thin crust pizza friendly pickup staff. Will be back!

Super good pizza with thick, buttery, flakey dough. There was lots of sauce and full tomatoes . The only problem was the price. 40 some odd bucks for a large Pizza and a salad. Overall it was pretty good but not amazing. read more

We lived on Rosati's when we were in AZ and are THRILLED they opened an Encinitas location. The food is always fantastic. The salads are fresh and no matter what pizza you get it will be good. My only suggestion is for the thin crust pizzas limit your toppings so you don't overwhelm the pizza and have too much on it to enjoy the crispy crust. We love the thin crust as it is crunchy and comes cut in squares. The guys love the wings and they have a wide variety of dipping sauces to choose from. We generally never got the appetizers or sandwiches, however the calzones are enormous, well crafted, and melt in your mouth yummy. The "sports bar" locations are very family friendly and it isn't your low-end bar food quality. I noticed they have Gluten Free pizza now - good call on their part. I highly recommend Rosati's, even though their price point is a bit high it is worth the few extra bucks per pie. read more

This place has great Chicago style pizza and their hand tossed crust is also really good too!

Meh is right.. service was fine. Waiter recommended the thin crust - said it was really good and what they are known for.. when it arrived I thought it looked like a frozen pizza... wish it tasted as good as frozen pizza! $14 for small tasteless thin pizza. $10 for vegetarian salad and $12 for a very mediocre slice of lasagna... definitely overpriced for quality. Also, music is very loud - hard to talk. Draft selection looked decent- wish they posted prices on the board. Overall - meh - would not recommend. read more

Great food, great beer, awesome atmosphere! I come in for the lunch specials 2-3 times a week and have yet to be disappointed by a single thing I have tried. This place has an amazing beer menu board with top quality local micro brews and the pints are around 2 bucks cheaper than the vast majority of brew pubs in North County. Need info on a beer or help selecting something to meet your tastes? Talk to the beertender with the giant beard, this guy knows his stuff and has yet to steer me wrong. If you have the time order a calzone, takes a little longer but it SO worth it. 5 stars, I love this place!!! read more

Rosati's Pizza - The beers! - Pizza Near Me - Encinitas, California

I must admit I was reluctant to try a new pizza place. You never know what you will get. However, my wife and I were craving pizza and this place was near where we were staying while traveling. We arrived at 3:00 yesterday afternoon. It wasn't very busy because of the early hour. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. They have a huge selection of craft beer, but I ordered the house cabernet which was surprisingly good. We ordered the Monster pizza and a side salad. The salad arrived within a couple of minutes, the pizza took about 15 minutes. It was worth the wait! The pizza was hot and the ingredients were piled on and very tasty. Okay, I've never had a pizza cut in squares rather than like a pie, that was pretty cool. We actually stayed there for a couple of hours eating, drinking and just having a good time. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area. read more

Seriously so delicious. We got a pizza and their dessert twists with the Nutella, and I was in carb heaven. The pizza sauce was perfect and the pizza was baked really well. I will definitely go back on another cheat day! read more

Who doesn't love pizza but from now on I'm just gonna drive on past Rosati's. A couple of times we've had a really good meal (chicken wings were yummy) but it seems like a crapshoot. My friend posted a Yelp with their disaster dinner and they (Rosati's) were so sorry and asked to give them another chance. Grayson was our waiter this last time and he did a great job, it wasn't his fault That the first pizza was burnt and the following pizza was undercooked. And I guess it was an off night for everybody because while we waited for the other couple to join us, I ordered water from the dark hair bartender with the bushy beard-he rolled his eyes and gave me attitude ( I am 3 months pregnant and don't drink soda or alcohol). All n all- too many bad experiences for me to ever give them my hard earned money. We are back to Borelllies for the in town dinners! read more

Pretty good overall. Ordered wings, thin crust and a deep dish. Wings were average, thin crust was good, deep dish was average as well. Service was somewhat on the slow side, but staff seems to do their best waiting on deep dish pizzas to be done in the kitchen. Sauce and crust on the deep dish could be enhanced. Didn't love, didn't hate. read more

Will never come back to this place- owner was cussing, and pushed a waitress over us asking where are drinks where. The bartender ended up being the owner. We waited over 30 minutes for him to pour our drinks and when we asked about it he went off on the waitress and pushed her into the kitchen. He fired the waitress on the spot and was very smug about it. He continued on with this behavior and never came over to apologize for his behavior. Unbelievable that an owner would treat his employees like this. Worst place! Will make sure I never go back and will recommend to everyone to stay away. read more

A taste of Chicago in the San Diego area! IF YOU ARE A FAN OF ROSATIS PIZZA YOU MUST COME OUT AND TRY IT! Pizza tastes just like it flew in from Chicago! We randomly stopped in here and was immediately welcomed by Mike, who was awesome. Scott was working as well, also very nice and funny. We got the Buffalo chicken salad, little garlic bread bites(free with check in on Yelp), the loaded fries and a ten inch deep dish. Waaay too much food! Looks like we have dinner too! Salad was ok, the garlic bread bites were amazing, the fries were ok and the deep dish was yummy. Mike said to try the thin crust next time. Will doGood vibes, laid back, good atmosphere appealing to all ages, and good food. Keep it up guys and thanks! read more

Rosati's Pizza offers Chicago style pizzas in a family friendly atmosphere with a bar nearby. Cool Chicago sports team flags hang from the ceilings with Chicago sports channels on when available. Nice lively circus. TheIr ample pieces of sausage had a wonderful and slightly peppery spicy taste on our pizza, and the crust was made of a crispy corn meal base. There was a good amount of cheese was on our pizza, which is exactly how Chicagoans like their pizzas. No wimpy globs of cheese like a New York pizza, and no skimpy and strange mixes of cheeses on their pizzas like at some Californian pizza joints. Fresh mushrooms and onions were also added to our pizza. Ours was indeed an excellent Chicago style pizza in Encinitas, CA! We'll be back for their deep dish pizza next time. Our server Caitlyn was very friendly and was very attentive. Anyone looking for the great taste of a Chicago pizza, particularly a thin crust like ours this evening, should really give Rosati's a try. read more

Rosati's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Encinitas, California

This happened a year or two ago and I never came around to writing a review because I just wrote the place off in my head even though their salads were good and other food pizza, wings, garlic knots were decent (regents deep dish in La Jolla is my normal go to deep dish worth the drive) and this is a super convenient location because they are literally a minute from my house. However, I continue to check the reviews because I want to eat there or get delivery again if the service wasn't so bad because I continue to have horrible service here like many other people trying to eat at this restaurant in the reviews and it's about time they did something or put more effort into their poor service; not only, back before Covid, do they say they are no longer doing deliveries after 7:30, even though my order was prior to 7:30 like 7:10 and said 9pm on their yelp page but it was too late for them at this time, when it had said different on yelp and website but they were rude and never let me speak to a manager to handle a refund after placing my order and charging my card and I ended up just paying for nothing because of the people present could not help me or the situation nor did I want to deal with the continued attitude. Prior to this incident I received a delivery which was my first order from them soon after they opened awhile ago, more than a couple years, and the food was bomb buffalo chicken salad was perfect. However I later received a phone call from my delivery person at 10:30 pm at night when I ordered earlier that day and he left a voicemail intoxicated and disoriented saying weird stuff on my voicemail. I figured okay this is uncomfortable and extremely unprofessional but I don't want to get anyone in trouble so long as it doesn't happen again. Reading this restaurant's reviews and the poor service I received continuously since that incident is very disappointing and discouraging. Clearly they have a training, management, hiring, or wtv you call these consistent issues problem that many customers have experienced. Food is decent but they really need to get their staff and management together. And I am not just speaking as a customer. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years and so did my family and it's truly unacceptable. They would do so much better if they handled this situation. Hopefully they do because I would enjoy the convenience and food there again. read more

Our friend who lives in the area got us a gift card because she loves this place. We loved it too! We used the Yelp check in for the dough bites. They were a nice start. Nice beer selection. We got a deep dish pizza it was delicious. A great Greek salad. And a yummy calzone. It was all delicious. Seems like a great place to watch a game. We will come back for the wings. We had ordered so much already we appreciated that the waitress suggested we hold off on those and come back on a Wednesday for half price wings. The teenagers loved it. We all did. As others said the pizza is pricey but the deep dish is a really a lot of food. We brought plenty home. We will be back! read more

I used to really like this restaurant because normally the pizza is bomb and the pasta is delicious but last time I went there was a new guy that I had never seen/talked to before and he took my order and helped me when I picked up and my pizza was terrible and they forgot my side order. Just now, I tried to order to pick up. I was debating between pizza or pasta. The guy who answered the phone was a royal a$$hole. First they wouldn't deliver if you call after 7:15pm. How the f am I supposed to know that as it is not on the website. Next I can't order deep dish after 7pm because it takes too long to cook. Would be nice to put that on the website and the guy doesn't have to be such a d when he tells you. I totally forgot that I was thinking about lasagna (also they took ravioli off the menu) and that the New York style pizza is really good too. The guy, for some reason I think he is the new manager, had really negative energy. I hope he finds a better jobs and someone else takes over and I will go back. Makes me feel very sad. read more

We ordered a 18" half combo and half mushroom, onion and black olive thin crust pizza. I was told over the phone it would be $47. I inquired on the price since all of the 18" pizzas are around $30 and didn't get a clear reply on why so I figured I would sort it out in-person. When we arrived I asked again and was told that they can't ring it up as a half, so somehow it ended up costing $17 more to split pizzas that would have been $30 individually. Maybe they rang up each individual topping... I have no idea, but it makes no sense. We have been to so many pizza places and always split the toppings because I'm a vegetarian while most other people eat meat. The pizza was good, and we eat pizza at least 2 times a but we probably won't be back due to crazy price jacking. I called Marcey twice and left a message and still haven't heard back... I talked to the manager and the situation was worked out and they were kind enough to reimburse us. The manager mentioned that the price should have been much lower, but in general they don't like split pies and that it was a communication issue on their end. Anyways, I'm sure we will be back to try again. read more

AMAZING! We had been looking for some local pizza places in the area and I have to tell you this place is a gem! I got the Chicago Deep Dish and Dough Bites and the pizza was so good! Great service and prompt delivery... I would have given them 4 stars but am dropping it to 3 because the carrots and celery that came with the wings don't look super fresh, and worst of all, the "boneless chicken wings" are actually frozen chicken nuggets covered in sauce. Lame move, Rosati's. I really wanted to like you. read more
