Thanks for delivering contactless during these times! We will continue to support as much as we can. Pizza is delish. Never fails!

this place always mess up my order. They have a perfect record of it. I am the fool that keeps going back. This is the last time giving them a try. Always double check your order. Seems like know one pays any attention to detail. read more

I love ordering pizza to go from here and then going and sitting down by the water and watching sunset while we enjoy it! We like to get the Chicago-Style Deep dish pizzas. We usually go for the thin crust if we don't get the Chicago-Style! For specialty pizzas, we like getting The Godfather, Rosati's Monster, and the Classic Combo. Try the Rosati's Dough Nuggets or a calzone with gourmet Italian sausage, black olives, and mushrooms added. Yum. read more

Delicious pizza!!! A bit of a wait, but worth every bite! I love the sports bar atmosphere, and the way they cut the pizza into little slices. Great appetizers, great beer and wine offerings, and great location!! read more

Called in an order at 4:20 for pickup at 5:30. Pizza was not ready until 5:50. 15 minutes into the wait I was asked what I had on my pizza. They did not even make it. They had no problem finding my order when I had to pay. This is the third time this has happened. Make sure to add 20 minutes to the time you want to pick up your pizza. read more

This was my first visit in. We loved it here and plan to go back next time we are in the are.

Been here a few times & only had the deep dish pizza here along with canolis and few beers. Always a good experience. Tonight I placed phone order for pick-up at 5pm-ish. Told it would be ready in about an hour. Not too happy about that but it is Superbowl Sunday. As i'm driving over I get a call 15min before the order was to be ready. It was the restaurant calling to tell me the pizza oven broke with my pie inside the oven - it could not be saved. Oven door stuck and the caller said there was a fire. Needless to say, my hunger for their deep dish pizza will not be cured tonight. Pretty bummed about that!!!! Oh well a local burrito and a beer will have to do for tonight :-/ read more

Rosati's Pizza - Celebratin my last day of unemployment by grabbin a delicious Chicago Deep Dish and a Cold or 2!!! - Pizza Near Me - Encinitas, California

Truly the worst deep dish pizza we have ever had. Gets two stars for the boneless wings that were pretty good, but the cheesy garlic bread was terrible as well. Our waitress didn't come by once during our appetizers or meal until we were finished and so we were finally given a water refill (had to ask for it) after suffering through such a salty pizza. The live music was really nice though, and the hostess was friendly as well. We couldn't even stomach the leftover pizza though, as expected it reheats even worse than it was originally. read more

Terrible delivery service, and a staff that doesn't care. I have been getting the pizza and worked for the company for years in Arizona. Decided to visit Rosati's for dinner because of the reviews. Great service and friendly staff. Plenty of beer selections. They have deep dish and thin crust pizza options. Good to know. But this night I decided to try the Lasagna. The wait for food took way way way too long. The Lasagna was overcooked and too dry to my liking. So, next time I am going to avoid any pasta dishes and order the pizzas instead. Since the reviews are more for the pizza! read more

Rosati's never disappoints! Their marinara sauce is the best! And of course the tap list...you can always find something for your taste

So, the short version: Rosati's is the best pizza I have found in all of San Diego. Having grown up in the Chicago area I am 100% biased towards that style of pizza and thus far I have only actually had Rosati's deep dish offering. But, after ordering it about 3 times in the last month... I don't really see a need to change. It's good. Like, really good. Sauce... The sauce is quite possibly the best Pizza sauce I have ever had. It's fresh! And full of real veggies and spices. I feel like a fanboy making such a big deal about it... but it is really that good. Cheese... They use good cheese. There is a difference. It's not that chewy gnarly stuff you get from a greasy spoon. It's fresh mozzarella that works perfectly with the sauce. Crust... If I am being a snob the crust is the only part of the pizza that isn't a definitive A+. It works great with the cheese and sauce, but on its own its a tad dry. Although, I am not sure if a Lou Malnati's style butter crust would ruin everything else that is so good about this pizza. Remember, this is a total nit pick. So, still an A. As someone that has literally ordered pizza overnight from Chicago, it goes without saying that Rosati's has 100% the best Chicago style pizza in San Diego that I have encountered. And, YES... I have been to virtually all the places that show up on yelp and otherwise. Rosati's is in a different league. Bottom line, I love this place. read more

This is one of my favorite pizza places! The vibe is great, the pizza is delish... they actually have green olives as a topping! And as someone who doesn't drink much I appreciate that they do 8 ounce pours of the draft beers and ciders. I prefer the thin crust pizza, so thin and crispy. My boyfriend likes the deep dish. It's worth a stop in for sure! read more

I love pizza. Who doesn't? I love Chicago style pizza even more. So when I found out the new "Rosati's Pizza" down the street makes Chicago pizza I was excited. Having had my fill of pizza on Superbowl Sunday I laid off it for a few weeks until yesterday. A bit lazy from a late night on Friday out with friends, I started craving it again. Well, I finally looked up the menu online and ordered a saucy, thick, deep, cheesy, Pepperoni, Chicago style pizza to go. About 45 minutes and it would be ready. I sat at home wondering what it would be like. Would it live up to my expectations? Would it be as good as the last that I had at a far away pizzaria? Would I survive my hunger? Yes, yes, and yes!!! It is everything I wanted. I am so glad Rosati's is just down the street. I'll be getting pizza here for years to come, I just know it. Check out their menu they have it all...Calzones, salads, pasta dishes, hot wings, breaded mushrooms, cheesy garlic bread.... Oh mamamia. I am getting hungry again. Seriously, I want to go again and it's been less than 24 hours. Do I need an excuse to go again today? I hope not. I think I want a meatball sandwich. read more

Let me clear my throat. This place would be a zero if it was possible. Lunchtime for someone's birthday at work with 9 women that work for a highly influential healthcare system in the Encinitas community. So first off the wait time is ridiculous for food that is mediocre at best. The pizza slices were burned to a crisp but they were nice enough to give us slices of flavorless cheese pizza. We waited an hour before we got our food, with no offers for bread or anything. Thank god they brought us a pitcher of water though!! The best thing about this place was our server, Nick. The owner was worse than the food. He was rude and defensive even though he wanted our feedback. Apparently they have been making their $35 deep dish runny, tasteless, burnt crust pizza like that for 50 years!! Listen, if you're in the Encinitas area stick with legit Italian places like Pizzacato or Borrelli's. This place won't last it's a joke. read more

Not like any Chicago style pizza I've ever had. Truly disappointing. Was excited to See this place under construction! What a let down. -Upon driving up you can see staff sitting on the walls, in their aprons, smoking and joking and basically hanging around. I realise that this is the back of their restaurant, but it is the front for all patrons driving up. Disgusting. - The pizza we ordered was the Chicago deep dish with pepperoni, peppers, onions and mushrooms. While the flavour was on point, the entire thing was soggy and crust was mushy. I was hopeful that I could just place in a skillet and crisp the bottom. Waste of time. Maybe the veggies were not cooked and sweat enough so the contributed to the pie being so overall soggy. -Not enough cheese or pepperoni. The girls at the register were very friendly and they get the star. But the pizza was not good, the staff smoking section is distasteful and I won't bother with this place again. Nor would I recommend to anyone. read more

This is real Chicago Thin Crust pizza. Grab a knife and fork and starting calling dibs on the corner pieces! I'll still visit Lefty's, but this place is only a mile away and delicious! Gonna try the Italian Combo Sandwich next! Edit: Italian Combo was great-get the au jus on the side or it gets soggy. Went the Portillo's way and got spicy peppers instead of sweet. read more

After some initial issues with service and food prep times, Rosati's seems to have really come into it's own. Offering the only source of local Chicago style deep dish pizzas, I've found myself craving Rosati's pretty often. The sauce is delicious, and the deep dish is well executed. The regular pizza is adequate, although they got our toppings wrong on our last visit and dumped green peppers all over it. Like a truck load of green peppers. Rosati's has a nice long L shaped bar and has really upped their game with local craft beers. My latest discovery is their fantastic lunch specials. For ten bucks, you can snag an outstanding Italian Beef sandwich and a soda. They've also got pizza by the slice with a soda for under $5. It's quick, it's cheap, and it's delicious. This place is getting slammed on the weekends, and for good reason. The food and the atmosphere is great for a family dinner out. read more

This review is for the thin crust pizza and the traditional wings. Rosati's thin crust pizza is bomb. I'm from SW Michigan, and we had a great local spot (rated 4.5 stars on Yelp) that did pizza very similar to Rosati's: Square-cut, thin and crispy crust piled high with toppings, and finished with a generous layer of mozzarella. Everyone raved about this place back home, including myself. My friends will give me crap for this, but Rosati's is way better. I recommend the Classic Combo, thin crust. Sauce on the bottom, the way it should be ;-) Then, there's a full layer of delicious pepperoni and sausage that covers the entire crust. Top that with crunchy bell peppers (both red and green, which I thought was a nice touch), onion, mushroom, and black olives. Cover everything with the *perfect* amount of cheese, and every bite is heaven. Like Scott T. said, it's even delicious cold the next day. Next, the wings. We went with 12 traditional in mild sauce. They were nice and meaty and cooked perfectly. Super good and subtle crispiness with a generous portion of sauce, but not soggy at all. Compared to B-Dubs (or any comparable restaurant) these come out on top. *** No beer yet, which is a bummer for me because I love a West Coast IPA. Looks like they've got a bunch of taps on the wall (maybe like 30+?) and sign that says "BEER AND WINE SOON," so I'll definitely be back soon to scope the selection! read more

Sorry Rosati's that I forgot to put in my review at the time of YEE in February! I'm so glad that I was able to attend because I have found a great place to have some delicious pizza and beer whenever in the area! The salad that were available at the time of the event were just as delicious, but I have to honestly say that the pizza's that were sampled out were amazingly yummy. Full of flavor and plenty of toppings to make me a happy camper. The patio is a plus if you want to be outdoors. Although the patio is along the main street you don't notice the passing cars. The patio is lined with market lights which always adds a nice ambiance to the area. There is plenty of seating indoors as well with TV screens to view. At the time of our event in the middle of the week, the place had quite a few customers. It's a happen place even during the middle of the week. We had the chance to meet the owners and they were very friendly and very proud of their business and proud to be able to support their community in means of sponsoring Little Leagues. Although, I thought to have tried a lot of the pizza's they sampled, they offer a wide variety of dishes on the menu that I hope to try someday soon. Oh, and the owner said to come check the place out on Tuesday's when they have live music, and come early, the place fills up quick! Also a good thing to know, they observe Happy Hour! I'll be back! read more

We were sad our favorite pizza and beer place in Encinitas went out of business, so we decided to try this place out. The atmosphere is great, and you get decent beer selection. And it wasn't that good.. :( Maybe next time, we'll try the deep dish... read more

We had to update this review. We had some friends that wanted to come here, had never been before, so we agreed to go. One more chance, we were REALLY hoping for a good experience because their pizza is really good, they are really close to home, we WANT to love this place But... I am a vegetarian. I ordered Green Peppers on my veggie pizza. What I got was pepperoni. Our waiter was very apologetic, as was the owner. However, I got my correct pizza after everyone in my party was through eating. How awkward. I almost asked them to just pack it to go. When they brought the bill, they actually charged for my late pizza, no discounts offered, no "Let me buy you guys a beer"...my husband had to go tell them, this is another bad experience, do you think you could adjust our bill? He shouldn't have had to ask. They should have offered to make it right. We won't be back, sadly. Everyone else liked their pizza, but the consensus was "This was really good, but at that price? Yikes." read more

I have been ordering from this place for the last five years since I moved here from Chicago, and I ordered from them for 30+ years while in Chicago. They've never had an issue delivering until today. The young man (probably a teen) said "oooh you're far. Let me ask my driver if he will go that far". Comes back to the phone and says we are too busy (and other things) very rudely. So basically, it doesn't matter if you've given them thousands in business, they're teen cashiers and incompetent drivers dictate who is going to get a pizza. The original owners would be seriously pissed if they knew how their name is being portrayed now. Horrible customer service. read more

My wife's originally from #ChiTown and complains about cali pizza. We are so glad this place opened, They have great food (pizza, cheesy beef), good music, they always have the games on and their staff is super friendly. This place is awesome hands down. Only downfall is their liquor license hasn't cleared so they don't have beer. Other than that THIS IS THE PLACE. read more

I really want to like this place. They have a pretty good beer selection for sure! The food is pretty good too. Yet service and order accuracy is very poor. Went there last night, Friday, for dine in. Seated at our table, every waitress including the owners just looked at us. No one served us even when asked. We ended up walking out. Tonight I thought we would try a take out order. My pizza was quite good. Yet it had onions that I did not ask for. I also ordered salad with chicken. She said the salad was very good but did not come with the chicken. I hope the ownership tightens things up. This is a great location and the food is good. A huge step up from Papa John's and the delicatessens that have been here. read more

Great pizza!!! Great service!!! Their dough nuggets are delicious and addictiinnng!!!

Had the misfortune of eating here twice so far, once dining in with my eldest daughter, and teh next when someone brought in some to our office for lunch. good stuff first: The dough nuggets are pretty good. They're essentialy mini bread sticks and they were one of the few things we had that really tasted fresh. Warm and salty with a good bit of crispiness on the edges, my daughter asked for another thing of ranch to enjoy them all with. Not knowing what Chicago style really is, we got a small one of those to split. It was okay, very crunchy, it seems like it was just a tall crust on a regular pizza. Looking it up on our phones that night, everything we read made it seem like it should have been much different, more toppings and a sweet crust. But, it was still okay. I got a cheef sandwich, which was extremely salty roast beef with a huge amount of salt water poured over it with some melted cheese dripping on top. I got this in hopes of taking half of it home to my younger daughter, but the bread didn't last under all of the juice. The fries that came with it felt and tasted like the same ones you would get from an elementary school lunch - stale and prefrozen, okay if you eat them fast, but really gross if they cool. And for the food we got at the office, it was a very differnt thin crust which was okay, and some of their buffalo wings. they were only slighty better than the hockey pucks a buffalo wild wings and were probably as prefrozen as the fries. The big problem was each of the 5 us having to pay $15 each for two pizzas and a big thing of wings. I think I was the only one that was full and everyone else had to eat something else because of so-so quality food, not much quantity, for a very steep price. Part of this is my fault, if you look at the reviews here, alll the ones with 5 stars are from people with just a couple of reveiws and all of them kind of say the same thing - that really is a warning. If this is "real deal" chicago pizza, I think I can see why it hasnt really caught on out here. read more

Tried Rosati's based on reviewsI had seen. I disagree. Ordered a Chicago Style Pizza to be picked up, half Sausage and halff Pepperoni. Got home, pizza didn't look appetizing, more like tomatoe sauce in a shell. Looks don't mean much, so "cut" the slices and it ate like it looked. Two pieces of Sausage in the one half and two small pieces of Pepperoni in the other. Some cheese, but mostly on one side and not the other. It was not a cheap pizza, so spend your money somewhere else. read more

Nothing good to say, so I'm trying to stay as polite as possible, but this place truly is no good. Food was okay (by no means Chicago-style), but this place displayed all the symptoms of inexperience. Tiny things like sneak charges for every individual sauce and a deceptive happy hour menu, but it all adds towards an experience my friends and I don't care to experience again. In terms of atmosphere - perfectly nestled between a mattress shop and a Big Lots, this place adds more vaguely depressing vibes by playing nothing but news on their TVs. Perhaps it was too early for sports, but no one wants to eat while newscasters discuss death, Trump and child molesters. Just stick with music. :) Anyway, what once was a one star review is now a two star review after I felt bad knowing they've only been open for 4 months. Maybe they'll get better. read more

Was expecting a delicious, traditional Chicago style deep dish. It had way too much tomato sauce, very few slices of pepperoni and a thin layer of cheese on the bottom. The service was very accomodating, so they got an extra star for this. Good price for the beer. read more
