My pizza delivered

I have to say that Rosati's pizza is wonderful getting it is another problem I ordered a pizza tonight the can like the below picture Called all three stores they all went to voicemail and said their mailboxes were full Ended up spending another $60 to get the same pizza that the first one came like it was completely upside down Rosati's is a good pizza place but they don't care about customer service. They don't care about consumers and I just ended up ordering another pizza after Uber eats 29 minutes waiting on a chat person never showed up. So just order another one got it it's awesome but this should've never happened Cost me an extra 60 bucks

I recently stopped by Rosati's Pizza bc I was told by a friend that I had to try it before I leave Chicago. I decided to try their thin crust, and I've got to say--it was ok . The crust was perfectly crisp, with just the right amount of crunch in every bite without being too dry or brittle. It held up nicely under the generous layer of toppings and rich tomato sauce. But I felt there was nothing special about it. Unfortunately pizza is pizza but I was in search of a connection lol The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the pizza came out hot and ready. If you're a fan of pizza then I say give Rosati's a try who knows u might love it. But as far as for me it just wasn't it.

Pros: 1. Location is easy to find and drivers can drop you off right at the front door entrance 2. Traditional Chicago deep dish pizza experience 3. They're open after midnight 4. Conveniently priced for big portions 5. Yelp check in 20% off entire order Cons: 1. Employees are unprofessional, sloppy and unfriendly 2. The door is shut tightly. You need to pull HARD. Everyone who's new here has that problem. 3. I wasn't granted my yelp 20% check-in discount because the manager wasn't there and staff isn't trained to work the cashier I'd go somewhere else unless it's late and nothing is open anymore

Pizza crust (burnt)

The lady on the register was very rude when we went to get a pizza over there. Got the pizza all burnt on the bottom so taste gross.

Rosati's Pizza on Wells is fine. It's decent pizza and it's pretty cheap for a big slice. It's very dim inside but thats partially because it doesn't get a lot of natural light due to Wells having the El overtop it. It's never super crowded either so it can make a for quick lunch stop.

Lukewarm pizza. They forgot to add the pepperoni. Taste like upgraded frozen pizza.

Order pizza after a night of bar hopping. It was late night so our options were limited. We ordered delivery from Rosati's because it was a few blocks away from our hotel. Customer service was sub par. Dude was half asleep on the phone and was rushing me off the phone. We placed an order for a medium tavern style pizza (thin crust). Pepperoni & Sausage... with some red pepper flakes and parm cheese on the side. I was told it would take about 45 minutes. Waited more than an hour for my pizza. Finally it arrived. It was lukewarm and missing my pepperoni. They also forgot to give the red chili flakes and parm cheese on the side. The pizza was not good. It tasted like a frozen pizza from the supermarket but slightly upgraded. Super disappointed. I will not be ordering from this place ever again.

Fries

Wings were bland and fries were not what was on the website would probably not buy again

Crust a bit biscuit dough like but works. We tries cheese, sausage and pepperoni slice. Not New York but you can't beat the pride compared to surrounding area. Service was polite, quick and clean.

Overall will give a 3 because I see this place has a lot of potential. Deep dish pizza, pastas, sandwiches, etc and open late until 4am -- thats amazing!! However, I did order my pizza at 12:38AM and didnt receive it until 2:45AM. Est wait time was 45 mins. Its Lolla season right now so perhaps everyone is ordering from them so they got a little backed up. I get it, but still waited 2 hours without updates. The pizza itself was good, it wouldve been better warm/fresher. It arrived cold :( still enjoyed though! My first deep dish experience.

Thick spongey dry dough with no flavor. Just think of Little Cesars but worse.
Mike L.

Note to self; NEVER return. Here is what I got for $6.78 A very dry thick, spongy flavorless crappy slice of pizza that is not even close to Rosati's in Oak Park or River Grove. There is nothing worse than a crappy thick spongy doughy pizza slice that resembles pizza that would be delivered to your hotel room in Nebraska or Iowa. The picture I took actually makes it appear as though it's not that bad, but it is that bad. The sauce was crappy The slice was cold The cheese sucked The flavor sucked because the sauce sucked The parking sucks because it's in an area that is metered only and loaded with parking Nazi's. And to to top it off, they do NOT accept cash. They should have a sign outside that is LARGER than the Rosati's name outside that says; WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH. But they don't. They have a small 8 1/2" x 11" sign that is on the door when you walk in. It looks like menu, so I'm confident I am not the only person who MISSED THE NO CASH that's in MAYBE a 14 point font! And why bother taking cash anyway, this is only the United States of America. Since they don't accept cash, they should offer customers a DISCOUNT because most businesses complain that when customers use credit or debit cards, it costs the merchant more money! But it doesn't matter, because I will never return.

We had a great time catching up with friends in a cozy corner booth upstairs. Service was great, appetizers were hot and delicious and the pizza, as always, was fantastic! I'd give it 10 stars if I could, thanks guys!

My interest in visiting Pequod's Pizza came after watching LATRYGUY, a foodie YouTuber I have been…read morefollowing lately. As a fellow foodie, I am always looking for new spots to try--whether they are in Chicago, the surrounding Chicagoland area, or outside the state of Illinois. I honestly feel as though you cannot order from Pequod's and not get a pan pizza! Pan pizza is the entire essence of Pequod's; in my opinion, it is almost a crime not to order it. I ended up ordering their 7" personal pan pizza for lunch on a day when I was craving either pizza or pho. Whether using Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online for the convenience and the ability to schedule a pickup time. Most of the time, my orders are ready--or nearly ready--upon arrival. By the time I reached the restaurant, my order was almost finished. If you are someone who orders online as faithfully as I do, just keep an eye on the tracker for the notification that your food is ready. Because of this smooth experience, the likelihood of me ordering online from this location again is very high. I will warn you: if you are driving to this location, the curb sits high outside the storefront, so be mindful of that if you have a smaller vehicle. Parking is pay-to-park and shared by other businesses along Clybourn Ave. Remember to give yourself plenty of space when parallel parking; it can get tight since this restaurant has a consistent flow of customers moving in and out. During my brief visit, I noticed customers either carpooling or being dropped off, which I highly recommend if you plan on visiting this Pequod's location. Now, as for my food! "A cute little pan pizza," was my first thought after receiving the box from the employee. It was so adorable that looking at the box made me almost regret not ordering a larger size. However, its actual appearance took me by surprise once I opened it. After unwrapping the pizza from the aluminum foil, I saw its charred, caramelized cheese ring around the edge, a heavy crushed-tomato and herb sauce on top, and a stringy mozzarella pull in the center that was sticking to the foil. That sight alone made me salivate in anticipation of my first bite. I brought out gloves for this because I didn't dine in. Instead, I just pulled into a park and enjoyed this "cute little pan pizza" from Pequod's, which tasted incredible! The rich, tangy tomato sauce packed a serious punch that made me smile with enjoyment as I carefully avoided getting it on my hospital scrubs. Don't be deceived by the look of those charred edges, either--they are completely edible and delicious! You don't need to worry even if you have sensitive teeth. After finishing the last bite, I wiped my mouth and declared, "That was good!". If you are like me in search for something light, then I highly recommend their 7" personal pan pizza because it will leave you satisfied. In closing, I had a great ordering experience, as indicated in my review of Pequod's Pizza. Thanks to LATRYGUY for bringing this to my attention; I am happy to share my endorsement of this business with the Yelp community. I also want to point out that I am connected to 13 quality Yelpers who have already shared their excellent feedback about this location. I didn't mind waiting because it gave me and my partner a chance to look over the menu more and ask our server for recs, to which he recommend the Lou Malnatis salad. This salad honestly blew my expectations and I can see why it's such a crowd favorite - the roasted salami bits and gorgonzola cheese provided a really nice savory contrast with the sweet vinaigrette they used. When it comes to the deep dish pizza however, I think deep dish style just isn't for me. You can taste all the ingredients (the cheese, tomato sauce and sausage) but they don't really come together in a cohesive manner. I had one bite and I didn't really feel compelled to take another after, it reminded me of my own home cooking when I would add too much tomato sauce and overcooked the cheese on a lasagna. I'm not saying deep dish pizza or Lou Malnatis is bad necessarily, the service was friendly and attentive, I just think a regular pizza is more my speed.

We started with the Greek salad and flatbread, and they were just as delicious as I remembered. The salad is HUGE--I'll come back to that. For the table, I ordered the half-pound pot pie pizzas. You're given three options: sausage and mushroom, sausage without mushroom, or mushroom only. The first time I visited, I was brought there by a Muslim couple who didn't eat pork. Although I'm not Muslim, I also don't eat pork, and another person in our group doesn't eat mushrooms. We were able to find pot pie options that worked for everyone. I also remember the menus telling the interesting history of the area, including the connection to the Valentine's Day Massacre across the street. That history and character seem to have disappeared as well. When the pizza arrived, I honestly thought a frozen pizza would have tasted better. The sauce tasted like Ragu spaghetti sauce soup, with two nearly raw, completely UNSEASONED whole mushrooms floating in it. It was horrible. Because I don't eat pork, I needed an alternative for the meat. What I received were two DRY, OVERCOOKED, well-done, flavorless hockey pucks disguised as "meat patties" that I was expected to crumble into my pizza. Not one of the five people at our table liked their pizza. My brother, who has also visited this restaurant several times said the pot pie was not how he experienced in the past. At that point, a few of us agreed that we might come back for the salad and flatbread, but the pizza was a complete miss. Then things got worse! As we were getting carry-out containers to take home the remainder of our food--with hopes of somehow doctoring up the pizza in our kitchens--we divided up the leftover salad and flatbread. Our server gave us two condiment containers for the salad dressing. (There are two different dressings that you mix and drizzle over the salad.) We packed up our food, and there was enough salad and bread left for at least two more people. So we asked for additional containers for the dressing. That's when we were told there was a limit of TWO dressing containers per table. WHAT??!!! Even Italian Garden will give you as much dressing as you need without making you feel like you're being upsold to PURCHASE the dressing. At that point, all five of us agreed: the salad and flatbread were good, but they weren't good enough to make us want to return. The watery pizza soufflé and container policy, was a disappointment and turnoff. What I remembered as a unique, memorable Chicago dining experience now felt overrated and more like a tourist trap. It was $250 wasted. I'll also be sharing this experience on my social platforms as well. Honorable mention: The glasses slide around due to the unevenness of the tables (not the booths) and the condensation underneath the drinks. Spend money on the uneven light fixtures outside of your establishment and the rickety tables. Just a thought.

We were waited by Bill - who gave great recommendations and provided great customer experience the entire time! 10/10 from him. The focaccia + burrata combo was incredible - I typically don't opt for bread + pizza, although this was so worth it. The focaccia was perfectly crispy yet so soft, and pairing burrata on top gave it that creamy/cold combo that was perfect. The pizza was very elevated - good simple ingredients with an incredible crunch. Extremely paper thin. Highly recommend to come here!

We ended up doing a walk-in on a Sunday night and showed up at 8 PM one hour before close. This worked out for us because we got a really good seat after only waiting for 20 minutes. Service is good and timely- the hostess was super kind and helpful. We started with some cocktails- a Negroni & a spritz (both were good & pretty strong). Then we split the Caesar salad and a pizza with half sausage/olive and mushroom/onion. Yeah, the pizza did blow me away- the crust is perfectly crunchy and so so thin. I wouldn't even describe it as traditional tavern style pizza because I think it's a really crunchy crust- but it's definitely wayyyyy better than Dimi Dimi (that's the most comparable crust imo). The sauce has a slight spice to it, and the whole pizza just feels very layered in terms of flavorful profile. The sausage was also spicy but very good and I absolutely loved the mushroom and onion duo. Sometimes when you go to a certain pizza places, it doesn't feel worth it, but all the ingredients felt elevated here and the pizza had an elevated taste. The Caesar salad had a nice light dressing and a ton of cheese. I wish that the lettuce had a bit more of a crunch to it, but they seemed to use butter lettuce. The inside feels like a classic Italian joint, but it's very small and simple Overall, so glad that I finally went and although it's not a place that I would go regularly because I live far, I would definitely come back!

Kari's Rating 9.25/10…read more TLDR: -2 types of pizza, tavern = thin, Artisan = doughy -Opens at 4pm-Can have a line when opening! -One of my personal favorites for pizza in River North! Came with a friend for dinner around 4 PM and man was it crowded as soon as those doors opened. It had been my first time there and I'm more of a lover of pizza that has a little bit of dough, so we started off with the crispy calamari appetizer, and then went straight in with the artisan style vodka, pizza while adding Italian sausage. Calamari was pretty good, it was lately battered, and not very oily which I appreciated. It came with a lemon as well as some kind of mayo, dipping sauce. It was very delicious and light and came out relatively quickly after ordering. I was trying to see room as the pizza was the absolute star of the show-The cheese came almost the ends of the perfect puffy and doughy crust. Although, the middle of the pizza was thinner than the artesian, puffy crust, yet you could taste everything when you took a first bite. The combination of cheese, sauce, banana peppers, and the Italian sausage was incredible. Now, normally I would think vodka anything would be a little heavier, but it actually was a perfect light bite pizza. We seated in the secondary dining room and it had a very interesting layout, but it was very trendy and modernly decorated. I can't believe how packed it got considering we went in on a Monday. We left around 6:30 and the place was almost fully packed, including their first entrance seating. I fake to the bathroom as I was paying the check, and it was interesting considering the bathrooms were only one stall per gender, which is very unlike River North considering the bathrooms, usually take up a significant portion of the restaurant layout-but who knows, maybe they didn't have the space? We finished off our early lunch with a tiramisu and it didn't come out traditionally looking like a tiramisu, considering it came in a bowl almost as a pudding. It was coated in a dusting of cocoa and chocolate crispy rice balls, but was surprisingly not very coffee flavored. I don't personally like the strong coffee taste into tiramisu-and I found it absolutely delightful, although I would consider it more of a vanilla tiramisu than a traditional. Overall, a very positive experience, the servers were relatively attentive, the prices were moderate for pizza in River North, appetizers and dessert was relatively good as far as pizza goes in Chicago and I look forward to returning sooner than later!!
