Worst jets I've ever been to. The salad is never fresh and the aloha bbq pizza i ordered had pretty much no bbq sauce on it. The food was also cold when i got it. The delivery drivers are also extremely rude and aggressive. They will argue with you on the phone about you having to go to their car to get your food because they are too lazy to bring it to your apartment then will call you complaining that you are taking too long. The driver said he couldn't leave his car otherwise he would get a ticket even though my apartment has 15 minute parking for delivery drivers. My driver called me multiple times yelling at me it was pretty terrifying especially knowing this person has my name, phone number, and address now. read more

Been on a pizza fix lately. Wanted to try something good but also affordable, decided on Jets. Was able to get a large 1 topping thin crust pizza and cinnamon six for ~$30. Enough food for about two meals for 1 person (for me at least) coming in around ~$15/meal, not terrible, not cheap either. The pizza was overall decent, a step up from dominos/Pizza Hut. The cinnastix were really good, especially if you love cinnamon. Not a bad choice if you want something a bit more affordable Service was quick. Stopped in because this location is close to my apartment. I have never had Detroit style pizza so I was excited to try something new. I ordered online during the Super Bowl and walked over a few mins before my order was complete. The place was clean and the staff was great. They gave me my order with extra sauces and utensils. I tried the honey barbecue pizza and it was delicious. The sauce was sweet and the crust was buttery. They are open till 3 am on weekends which is great for any night after drinking. read more

Stopped in because this location is close to my office and I had a craving for pizza. First time trying the pizza and it's good but it's not Chicago style pizza. They call it Detroit style pizza. I ordered online and when I walked in the place was clean, playing some good music, and I was greeted when I first walked in. I ordered a the Best of Jets Small Pizza with Hamburger and the Honey Barbecue Boneless Chicken. The Pizza was a little too done for my liking and not enough cheese but good none the less. The Boneless Chicken was very good and had a great flavor. The deal for the pizza that I ordered said one price and then when I added it to my cart it came up as a different price. But I continued anyway. My pizza was ready for the time that I selected. When I got there I informed the guy about the pricing issue and he fixed it. You do have to purchase a side of ranch even though you purchased Boneless Chicken. Overall a good first time experience and I would try it again. read more

I'm super excited that Jet's is finally open in the South Loop! I made a visit tonight and was immediately greeted and welcomed by the General Manager, Jeremy. He is super friendly! I explained to him that I had never tried Detroit style pizza before and asked for a recommendation. He mentioned that this week they are offering a promotion of 2 slices of pizza (choice of sausage, pepperoni or something else I can't remember--maybe veggie?) and a drink for $4.99. What a great deal! If Detroit style pizza crust is not for you, they also offer hand tossed, NY style, and thin crust pizzas. For those that cannot handle gluten, they also have gluten free pizza. I just tried their sausage Detroit style pizza and it was delicious. The sauce was sweet and the crust was buttery and moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. It paired deliciously well with the ranch sauce they have here. There's some scaffolding outside right now (from the building next door) but don't let that deter you from going in! Their special $4.99 promotion is only until tomorrow 12/22 so do not miss it! They have lunch specials here too at great prices and also serve sandwiches! And if you are super lazy they deliver with Postmates. Its super nice to be able to order a few slices of pizza without having to order a full pizza or have to walk all the way to Whole Foods (which was my prior source of pizza slices). Deep dish pizza in 10 mins. That's crazy. My deep dish experience has always included a 30-45 minute wait. Jet Pizza is a fast food joint and clearly a takeout place by its setup and limited seating. I never had Detroit style deep dish but I'm definitely a fan! Jet pizza has a great crunchy crust with good flavors. The 8 corner pie really highlights that amazing crust. The 8 corner pie consists of 2 corner pizzas each with 4 corner slices. In other words, you get that awesome crust on 2 sides for each slice. The toppings and sauce are fine, nothing impressive but not a negative. For fast food pizza, You can argue if the prices are high. I paid close to $30 for a 8 corner pie with one side vegetarian and the other BBQ chicken. But we split the dinner into 3 dinners. Overall, pretty great value. Horrible customer service, really the worst to be honest. After waiting 20 minutes for an order (2 slices of pepperoni), I watched two people who placed orders after me, receive two MEDIUM/LARGE sized pizzas. When I asked the worker at the counter where my order is, I was told that they threw my ticket away and that there'd be another 10 minute wait for more pepperoni. Jet's 4 corner pizza is the kind of thing I get random pregnant woman cravings for, and I'm not a woman, nor have I ever been pregnant. I have like a ghost womb that demands this Detroit-style, fast food delicacy. And, yeah, I end up with a food baby afterwards - happens every time. (Sorry my pizza review sounds more like a review for an IVF clinic.) I order the buffalo chicken pizza because it's what the ghost baby demands. I also suggest added a couple of sides of ranch, because Jet's ranch is the kind any honest Midwesterner would want to bathe in (it's probably exfoliating, right?) My only suggestion/complaint: please add the ability for custom notes or topping removal/specification for special pizzas on the delivery apps, because all I want to do is order the buffalo chicken without red onion. I either have to build a custom pizza that isn't exactly the buffalo chicken, or I have to pick the red onion off of my delicately balanced pizza before I can eat it. Also, one quick story before I leave you: a French family who had just landed in the states were in our elevator with us one night when we were coming back upstairs with our Jet's. "Oh la la," they said, "That smells so gud! Do you recommend?" We sang the praises of Jet's and they decided they were going to walk over immediately and order their own. Our first time trying Detroit style and it was tasty!! The crust was really nicely caramelized and crunchy, and the dough was fluffy and springy - almost like a foccacia. This also has way less cheese compared to Chicago deep dish (but still a fair amount of cheese!) We got the aloha BBQ pizza so we didn't have the full experience with the tomato sauce and essentially everything just tasted like BBQ. Make sure you specify that you want Detroit style - originally we didn't realize the pizza we wanted didn't come in Detroit style in medium! If you haven't tried Detroit style pizza, think of it as a fluffy, soft, almost bread-like crust with crispy, buttery edges. It's a lot thicker than your traditional hand-tossed pizza, but it doesn't have the heaviness of deep dish. My favorite topping combo is chicken, mushroom, and spinach, but you can't go wrong with a good ol slice of just sausage. Honestly, it's all good. P.S. After you try jets and are officially on the bandwagon, you should order your next pizza with TURBO crust: they'll slather garlic butter and Parmesan cheese on the crust for extra calories and extra deliciousness.
