I'm genuinely disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was given the wrong pizza, mistakes happen, but what followed was unacceptable. It took over 1.5 hours for them to deliver the corrected pizza, and throughout the entire process the manager (or whomever they have answering the phone) showed a noticeable lack of urgency or concern about fixing their own error. What happened to quality control? A mix-up at the counter is one thing, but the slow response and indifferent attitude made it clear that customer satisfaction wasn't a priority. By the time the correct pizza arrived, the frustration had overshadowed the meal entirely. This place was awesome! I was originally by River view and the deep dish places had long lines which I am not a fan of. I prefer to make a resi and go at my allotted time. Therefore, I searched online and discovered Nancy's was 12 minutes away. I am very happy we ventured over. The restaurant, staff and food were excellent!! Nancy's Pizza came highly recommended, and it did not disappoint. There seem to be some street parking around the location. When you walk in you will find bar seating, high top tables, and traditional table dinning. Our server was the best. She walked us through the history of the restaurant, and answered all our questions, and helped guide our order. Which lead us to try both the wings and pizza. We were skeptical about the pizza with it being our first time trying this style, but we ended up really enjoying it. Fair warning you will get full fast - one slice was all I could manage to eat. The wings were delicious - we got hot buffalo lemon pepper and they will be a repeat for me in Chicago. After eating one slice I noticed there was bug( looked like a mosquito) on my pizza. The pizza was good but the bug kind of ruined it for me. We arrived to Chicago late and had to get some deep dish for our first meal. Luckily Nancy's Pizza was close by and open late. We ordered the Caesar salad and a small deep dish pizza and the two of us could only eat one slice each. It was such a thick slice and was just overflowing with cheese. The crust was a crispy golden texture and stood tall. There was more cheese than any other deep dish we'd ever had. The Caesar salad was also surprisingly delicious. I liked their unique way that they served it with a bit of arugula and bacon bits mixed in. The ambiance and service were great as well. Even though we came close to closing time, our server was very friendly and we didn't feel rushed. The vibe was a bit retro and modern mixed together which was neat. Have been on a thin crust kick and have been putting trying Nancy's bc it's a chain but we were proven wrong! The uncle Tony's thin was amazing, the border slices were nice and crispy and even the interior slices were crispy which is where we're usually let down. Also had a small custom stuffed pizza with sausage, banana peppers and onions was so good and even better as leftovers. Will definitely be back as we were pleasantly surprised. Where do I start? This place is amazing. This was my first time trying it. The staff that took the orders for the pizzas were really really nice. One young lady. I believe her name was Yasmin. She was extremely helpful. Helping me navigate the app. The pizza was delicious. The crust was delicious. The salad was good. The service was good. Everything was a 10 to me. I got it for lunch and that was my first time having it. It was so good that for dinner we stopped and got another one so two in one day that speaks volume it was amazing. I will definitely be back. Best pizza in Chicago hands down! If you like it cheesy like giordanos, you're gonna love Nancy's. It's pretty much the same style of deep dish Chicago pizza pie, but believe it or not even cheesier, and I felt like the flavors were even better. This review is for the location on Washington Ave. at Carpenter St. We ordered two small pizzas: A thin crust with sausage, and a "rustic" style with black olives. I really enjoyed the thin crust, it had a nice crunch with more flavor than some "cracker crust" pizzas. The sausage had just the right amount of fennel, and the sauce was good. The rustic style was equally good; the crust has more volume but is still not thick, and any toppings plus sprinkled Parmesan are baked on top. As a starter, we split the Caesar salad. It was very good but note to vegetarians -- ask for it without the bacon bits. We haven't been to any of the Nancy's locations. We would come back to this one just because we know how good it was! My mom and I ordered the bone-in buffalo wings, fried mozzarella, mixed green salad and the original stuffed pizza with cheese only. The bone-in wings had a touch of lime, which made them so much better. The fried mozzarella came with marinara and a pesto sauce for dipping, and I was obsessed with the pesto sauce! The mixed green salad? Delicious! Perfect amount of dressing, flavorful, we finished the whole thing! The cheese stuffed pizza, DELICIOUS! Extremely filling, but sooooo good. Finally tried this restaurant that I've walked past many times. What surprised me is that they have a take out option that is open later than the sit down restaurant! We got a deep dish and a thin crust. The thin crust was similar to most thin crust pizzas I've had. I enjoyed the deep dish more and loved how flaky the crust was. The pizza was ready within 25 minutes of ordering, which pleasantly surprised me since deep dish usually takes longer. So here I am, totally baked, full-on munchies mode, trying to decide if I should wait for delivery like a responsible adult or just pick up my pizza and call it a night. I live like four blocks away so I ordered online and decided to share with my dog Winston a super thin 12" pizza with Italian sausage and mushrooms. When I went to pick it up everyone was insanely friendly and engaging. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is always ready to help, and somehow every single time I pick up an order it is always ready right on time. Never late, never rushed, just perfect every single time. I don't know how they do it but I respect it. And the pizza? Oh man, the pizza. I took it home and every bite hit me like I had never tasted pizza in my life. The crust, the toppings, the flavor balance, everything was perfect. My heart says the quality and taste make this restaurant a clear five. To boot, the restaurant is fun, clean and service is high end. A wonderful dining experience in the West Loop. Place an order online for a medium stuffed pizza. I ordered a medium Stuffed Pizza with Sausage. Their medium is a measly 10 inch and rather pricey for the size. Their competitors if I'm not mistaken are 12 inches for medium and 14 inches for large at a better price. The pickup process was great and my pizza was ready by the time promised. But this ten inch seemed tiny. The pizza itself was ok. The crust tasted plain, it had a decent amount of cheese but could have used more sausage. The sauce was chunky but felt they could have balanced the sauce and cheese a little bit better. Overall despite the smaller size, it was still a very filling pizza. Came here for a work xmas party! We were assigned tables right by the door and entering the restaurant space. This made it challenging for not only other patrons to get around us, but to ensure service to all. Our server was amazing! She made sure everyone had a drink - which im sure had to be a challenge with all of us switching seats to socialize. Good was great! We went to Nancy's for post-marathon deep dish and salad. It was a bit of a hobble-waddle from our hotel, but worth it and also nice to get away from the busier part of town. We were seated quickly and had the nicest server. It seemed like the kind of spot that's great for a group (there were several there). I ordered a prickly pear margarita and not only was it balanced and tasty, but so pretty! We had the chopped salad - huge! - and Nana's Special pizza add pepperoni. DELICIOUS!
