Another great pick-up from Rosa's, I love their renovation and dedication to continuing to provide the community with great food. This should be on everyone's pizza crawl list. Family-owned businesses need to be supported, stop going to corporate franchises that don't care about anyone but themselves!!! Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Upside down Sicilian is an absolute staple. Sauce is great. Service is efficient. The slice- Crispy under carriage with a firm bite, fluffy dough to transition to gooey cheese topped with a slightly acidic sauce with hits of garlic. You get a traditional new york pizzeria ambience when walking in. They have a lot of other unique slices like the ravioli slice that has high marks. If you are ever in the area Def must try

Garlic knots Chicken Caesar salad slice Pepperoni roll Chicken wings Grandma slice

They accept debit/credit card and now have a soda machine. They also renovated and have more seats! I haven't gone to their bathrooms yet since the renovation, hoping it's clean and able to be used with no problem.

Reverse Sicilian. Excellent slice with particularly good sauce

I was yesterday on a walk and pizza crawl where we walked 16/17 miles and went to five Queens pizzerias having personally been to two of the pizza spots prior (shoutouts go to Shorewalkers.) Andrew Bellucci's (Astoria) https://www.yelp.com/biz/andrew-belluccis-pizzeria-astoria-4 (had the Eggplant Grandma) Philomena's (Sunnyside) https://www.yelp.com/biz/philomenas-sunnyside (had the Spicy Mikey) Rosa's Pizza (Maspeth,) https://www.yelp.com/biz/rosas-pizza-maspeth-2 Mano's Pizzeria (Ridgewood) https://www.yelp.com/biz/mano-s-pizzeria-ridgewood (had the Margherita Pizza) New Park Pizza (Howard Beach) https://www.yelp.com/biz/new-park-pizza-howard-beach (had the Mushroom Slice) Walking inside this place reminded me of a larger version of some very local pizza places I've been to back when I lived in New Jersey. However by comparison, the pizza quality here was better and surprisingly was the best or tied for best among all the places we went to. I went with the Upside Down Sicilian which had a pretty good crust especially with the cheese baked into it from it being reverse but the best thing here was the sauce. Super good quality tomato sauce with a bit of bite but not too much. I also tried an excellent garlicky slice (don't know the name) with someone else saying that the margherita was outstanding and another person loved their classic slice. Not much to say here outside of really liking this place. The price was decent and the flavors were excellent. I can see why it's popular with locals as they were quite crowded when we went there. Mid 4. For general ratings below- Crust order- Philomena's, (small gap,) Mano's (small gap) Andrew Bellucci's, Rosa's (gap,) New Park Pizza Sauce order- Rosa's, Mano's, (gap,) Andrew Bellucci's (small gap,) Philomena's (gap,) New Park Pizza

Rosa's Pizza -- 5 Stars Slices Tried: * Grandma Upside-Down * Grandma Vodka * Gold Medal Plain Cheese I went to Rosa's eager to try a few of their signature pies, and the experience did not disappoint. The Grandma Upside-Down slice was fantastic -- rich, flavorful, with the cheese-on-the-bottom Sicilian style that Rosa's is famous for. The Grandma Vodka slice stood out as my favorite, with a thin crust style that I personally prefer, topped with their signature vodka sauce and perfectly balanced cheese. Both Grandma slices were phenomenal, with a great crust-to-topping ratio, strong flavors, and a perfect bake. The Gold Medal Plain Cheese slice was classic and satisfying -- a testament to Rosa's consistency and quality. Service was excellent -- staff were friendly, attentive, and made the ordering process smooth. Unlike some other pizza experiences, the slices were ready and hot, with no confusion or delays. Overall: Rosa's delivers on every front -- incredible pizza, variety of signature slices, and top-notch service. Whether you're a fan of Sicilian-style, thin-crust, or classic cheese slices, this is a place that consistently shines. Winner: Grandma Vodka slice (for me personally, thanks to the thin crust and perfect sauce-to-cheese balance), but the Grandma Upside-Down is a close second.

I absolutely love the updated decor and interior at Roses on 69th Street in Maspeth! The atmosphere feels fresh and inviting, and it really enhances the dining experience. Best of all, the food is still the same: quality, affordable, and absolutely delicious. Always a fantastic experience here. Give the grilled chicken panini and vodka grandma slice a try! 2 of my personal favorites

This is my go-to pizzeria & the only place I will get a chicken Caesar slice from .. who's kidding - I always get the whole pie! Rosa's on 69th is a staple! You can never go wrong!

Refills extra

Well, they charge extra for credit cards and $1 for doing your own drink refills. It could use a scrubbing. I got eggplant parm, spaghetti and a side salad. It was okay but not especially good. I'd go elsewhere next time.

The last time I visited Rosa's Pizza was over 10 years old when I was a kid but since moving back home, I decided to stop back in. I absolutely love the Sicilian Pizza. It always comes out hot and fresh, plus the tomato sauce is just perfect with a nice salty sweetness! The staff is also super nice and one slice came out to be $2.98 which is a steal for compared to worse pizza for more in Manhattan. I might be biased because of the nostalgia but I truly think Rosa's in Maspeth is one of the best pizzerias in NYC! I can't say the same for the other locations I've tried but the Maspeth location never disappoints and reigns as the OG. I'm forever grateful that it's just a short walk away from home and open late to accommodate any late night pizza cravings!

Dinner at Pizzeria Panina on Friday was delicious. For dessert, we sampled their unbelievable date cake which came in hot caramel sauce with vanilla gelato on the side! The servers were very sweet to us and made suggestions about the menu when asked. Our orders came quickly, too. The interior is beautiful and has a low-light, romantic, rustic ambiance. The restroom was also neat and clean. It was family friendly and still felt intimate. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

We were seated at a long high top table that gets shared with other parties but at the time of our reservation, it was just us. The specials were speaking to us. We had a bottle of white wine for the table and I later ordered myself a glass of one of their orange wines of the day, Sikele, which was great. We started off with the meatballs from the specials, which were served with tomato sauce and sea salt focaccia bread and the Tuscan Kale and Radicchio Caesar salad. The salad was delicious, as were the meatballs and sopping the sauce up with the bread. We also had the roasted shishito peppers off the specials menu which came with a za'atar ranch dip that I actually loved even though I'm not a ranch fan. We then shared the cheese pizza and the special of the day pizza which was smoked bacon, figs, crème fraiche, buffalo ricotta and crispy onions. Both were amazing but I could have done without the smoked bacon. The best part was DESSERT. Both from the specials menu, we had the Sticky Date Cake (butterscotch + fior di latte) and the Pistschio Tiramisu (served with fior de latte gelato, olive oil and salt). Opposite vibes but both incredible in their own ways. The date cake was dense and super sweet but in the best way. The pistachio tiramisu was crunchy but super light and fluffy. The waiter then brought out free amaretto shots to end the night, even bringing a nonalcoholic one for my friend who wasn't drinking. 10/10 across the board. The place has vibes, food and great service. Can't recommend it enough!

Just moved across the street from this place in Maspeth…read more I read the reviews here on Yelp and thought it sounded pretty promising. Since I am tough on Pizza places, I figured I'd give it a whirl and see if I could find a great spot right here. I am glad that I did. First of all, the walk in prices are really good. I ordered a large Sicilian with pepperoni and a half dozen knots and bottle of soda. The entire order was less than $25. The food was ready in 15 minutes an I walked over to grab my meal. I had just moved and hadn't started unpacking yet, so I asked for some utensils. Not only did they give me my food, but provided me with a paper bag of plates, cups and napkins. I thought it was nice because he gave me more than I needed. Now for the pizza. The consistency of the dough in this Sicilian was lovely. Very spongy, almost like a sourdough texture - not flavor. I'm not the best at describing bread type objects lol, but anyway, it wasn't the standard Sicilian which I would equate to a fudge like brownie. This was more cake-like which was good because it was thick but light. The sauce was delicious and the pie wasn't covered in grease. The knots were really good too. Very happy to be across from this spot, even though it might cause me to put on 20lbs. Great food and great customer service!

Used to be good when Joe owned it. Now is ok. Not bad. Friendly staff and looks nice inside.read more

Nice warm bread with a very flavorful olive oil started the meal followed by baked clams and buratta, baked clams were fresh and delicious, garlicy with a little red pepper bite, they use panko breadcrumbs and while they were definitely one of the the better baked clams ive had I think I prefer a more traditional breadcrumb. The buratta was fresh milky and creamy and paired perfectly with the camponta ( probably murdered the spelling on that). The oso bucco special was insanely good, fall off the bone tender, great sauce and the mashed potatoes with crispy panchetta were out of this world . My fish ..I want to say filet of sole?..i dont remember lol, was cooked beautifully covered with the same delicious breading as the baked clams and came served over a generous portion of spinach and garlic.
