We do try to make a reservation for brunch, as I know there's usually a wait. I will say that the decor in the tipsy is one of its biggest drawers. Whoever is decorating, definitely knows what they're doing! The fireplace at the center of the restaurant is always tastefully decorated for the season. I absolutely love it! I had quite a few other $20 lobster rolls specials this summer. The amount of lobster that they give you for $20, and being able to pick your side is one of the best deals around. Not to mention the quality of the food for the $20. My Caesar salad was absolutely delicious too! By that point, one person in our group had already left to get Wendy's because he was tired of waiting. Once we finally ordered, there were still no drink refills. We asked for waters for the table and were brought five glasses with, "I have five waters, who wants one?" We had 17 people. It was just kind of unbelievable. Our food didn't come out until almost two hours after we arrived. By then everyone was hungry and thirsty. There were two kids in our group, and it would have been nice if their meals had at least come out earlier. Or bring us bread or something to hold us over. We also had to ask for salt and pepper because there wasn't any on the table. They brought one set for all 17 of us. We asked for another and eventually got one more set. I understand large parties can be challenging, but if the restaurant can't handle a reservation that size, it probably shouldn't accept it. The one positive was our server. She was very nice and seemed to be doing the best she could. I really wish I could say the food made up for the wait, but it was just average. Nothing was bad, but nothing was memorable either. Seated us quickly and our waitress Ashley was there in short time. Paula (wifey) ordered some Egg Sandwich and a small order of French Toast. I ordered Southern Benedict, which was a buttermilk biscuits base, topped with a fried chicken patty, 2 poached eggs, and smothered in a creamy sausage gravy, and it came with an order of home fries. We were both very happy with the flavor and portions. In fact I was rather full and didn't eat the last 3 or 4 bites. I also had an iced coffee, which was nice and strong. The place is very much where neighbors and families meet and greet. Lot's of "Norm!!" moments. Pricing if fairly average -- it was (with a 20% tip) $45 for us two. My only complaint had nothing to do with the restaurant, but with adults who don't know how to tell a kid not to do shrill whistling in a restaurant. No more details on that.
