One egg, crisp bacon, home fries, and a side of S.O.S. on toast
    Art B.

I LOVE this place. It is, respectfully, a charming and well-worn greasy spoon diner, and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you want something fancy, or want to pay using a credit card, go someplace else and leave this place to those of us who appreciate it. I took my Daughter here years ago and saw that they had "S.O.S." on the menu, and I asked the waitress if that was what I thought it was. She said yes, and that Dillon's might be the last place in New Bedford to offer it. So, years later (I moved), I returned to try it. Healthy? Heck no. I only ate half of it and in so doing, reached my sodium intake for the day. And yes, I took the other half home because I am that guy. The guy next to me ordered the Open-face Roast Beef Sandwich with Gravy; it was an ample portion that looked ridiculously good. There are many regulars who frequent Dillon's, and it gives it a Cheers-type atmosphere - people walk in and several folks greet them by name. I love that. So, if you like this type of place, go, and bring cash and a good appetite.

Walked in and loved all the sports pics and history. 23/24yrs feeding everyone in the New Bedford area the waitress let us know. We got the eggs and steak as well as the works. Super clean, loud and fast. By far one of the best breakfast places in the NB! Check out the video on our YouTube page Goddess of Green. Make sure to try the home fry potatoes with peppers and 2 cups of coffee. Ya already know!

Menu. Sorry some is cut off. But overall gist is super cheap.

I gotta go 5 stars here. As long as you go in expecting a greasy spoon type diner, you'll be satisfied and your wallet won't be much lighter. A colleague and I were in NB for a meeting and we got there 45 minutes early. Headed to Dillons for breakfast. The service was super quick and friendly enough. We got two full breakfasts (eggs home fries toast bacon coffee) for $13. If you get there before 8 it's even cheaper. Food was good. Home fries are a little spicy. Cash only (as one would expect in this kind of place).

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I drove up but my skepticism went away once inside. Great, friendly service and an amazing breakfast (excellent home fries) and I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

I have always loved this place and everything I've had here, but this was next level. I had a thanksgiving sandwich and sangria. The sangria was so delicious. One of the best I've had in a while. The Thanksgiving sandwich was served with potato wedge like rounds and wow! So good! I love Thanksgiving sandwiches and this one was hands down the best I've ever had. It took a lot to only eat half and save room for dessert. I'm so glad i did because their fried nata was next level. I didn't know how it would be, and it was sooooo good. They really care about their food and that is seen in their cooking and also their service. I'm amazed by both every time! This spot is super cute too. It's historical and they did such a good job keeping that feel. It's meant to feel like you're at your tias house and i just love that mentality. While this was a staple in my weekend breakfast routine, I'm thinking lunch and dinner might have to be included in the mix moving forward!

It's cute inside but a reservation is definitely a good idea as it was quite crowded. The drinks that we tried were all quite tasty. The calamari was good. The fried chicken Caesar wrap was great. I was a little hesitant to have the peanut butter thing cheesecake as I don't know why you'd stray from the peanut butter thing. It opened at 11:30 so we arrived close to that time, with no reservation. The decor was beautiful and with a fresh nautical feel. We were greeted warmly when we walked in the door and seated right away by the window with a view of the harbor and boats. Our waitress came over right away and gave us our menus - three of them. One was a regular menu, one was lunch specials, and I think the other one was for Chef's selections. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara on the lunch menu and it was amazing! The portion was just enough and was very flavorful and fresh. My friends had chicken Caesar salad and a mixed bowl (not sure about this one). I didn't take pics of our food because we all just dove right in, but I DID take a picture of our dessert. OMG it was bread pudding with fresh whipped cream and ice cream - soooo good!! The place filled up pretty quickly by the time we left it was full. The prices were reasonable and the wine was just fine! I wish I could remember the waitresses name to give her a shout out because she was a doll! Can't wait to visit again!

The Painkiller is fantastic, especially if you add caramel. The Epic Vanilla Skooma is dangerously addictive - the flavor profile is incredible, and honestly nobody else in the area comes close. The Buzz is another excellent choice. The food is just as impressive. Their linguica and cheese rolls are leagues above the competition, and I'd put them alongside the very best around. I highly recommend ordering a regular cheese roll leveled up with egg, bacon, and their house-made hot sauce. If you enjoy a Portuguese style hot sauce, this combination is absolutely worth trying - you will not be disappointed. The peanut butter cookie is unreal; I genuinely wish I had the recipe. The baked goods are consistently excellent, and whenever they have a special, just order it. I've rarely been disappointed by anything they've made. I used to live nearby and honestly miss having this place around. Their pizzas deserve recognition too. They're some of my favorite bar style pizzas in the area. If you prefer an ultra thin pizza, you might lean toward Dipper Cafe, but it's hard to beat The Meatball Thing, the Thanksgiving pizza during the holidays, and many of their other specialty pies. The atmosphere adds even more to the experience. They have arcade style games you can play while you wait, and the music is always great. If you're into King Diamond or heavier music, you'll probably hear something you love. If you live nearby or are just passing through the area, don't skip The Nook. For me - and for everyone I've recommended it to - The Nook easily earns the title of best coffee shop in the area.

It's perhaps a tad too small inside, but that's what makes it a nook. Lots of hot and iced coffee options, food is quality over quantity: get their signature cheese or linguica roll as-is or "leveled up" to make it an egg sandwich because it's the best around. And their focaccias are made like a pizza and imo are better than their actual pizza! Ok that's a paragraph!
