Bacon egg cheese on cheese roll

Great local spot! When I want good home style breakfast I always choose the West End Grill. Simply perfection every single time. Love that you can call ahead and pick up as well, since sometimes life is on the go! Lunch is great too, and Friday nights are made for dinner. Best cheese rolls and you can even get them stuffed. Such friendly table service. They remember all of their regulars by name, it's nice, not many places will treat their customers like family. During the pandemic this was a go to as their walk up window was convenient.

This is a great family owned restaurant. They take time to talk to you and the food is just like you would make at home. The cheese rolls are the best I have had French toast is amazing and they have lots of specials to choose from! Definitely a winner !

Decent diner, good coffee, good food, and affordably priced. What more to say? West End Grill's a small diner in a residential area but they sling hash with gusto, the soups're tasty and hot, and the sandwiches are pretty solid. My girls' cheeseburgers and grilled cheese sandwich were fine; my wife and I had tuna melts which were meaty, light on the mayo, and crisply toasted. Service was also friendly and welcoming. All-in-all, a no-frills diner with satisfying food. Nothing that would wow you, but also nothing that would disappoint either.

The owner was nice the food was amazing 5STARS

chicken and noodles in a styrofoam container

I ordered the chicken and broccoli Alfredo. It was mostly noodles minimal broccoli and almost no chicken. Absolutely no flavor. I had to add garlic salt, pepper and cheese for it to taste ok. Will never order from here again.

Gold margarita that i switched to silver tequila & added mint.

I love this place for breakfast. I almost always get their Big Boy special, you get a ton of food for around $8- a little of everything. Service was kind of a fail, but having been a waitress, I understand. Our server was not even an employee of the restaurant!! She was all be herself with at least 10 or more tables. Poor thing, I went and grabbed our menus & wrote down what we wanted to help her out. Not her fault, but really? Why not have enough staff to cover in situations like this? The food is always good, so I will be returning- although if this happens again I don't think I will!

Excellent family run diner. The corned beef is terrific! Your kids will love it too, especially the chocolate chip pancakes.

As a go to, you can't go wrong with the Reuben. I had to look under the buttery marble rye to convince myself that there wasn't bacon on it, but dang it's the so smoky and crisp pastrami that will fool you too. Honestly, tonight I ventured off the Reuben for the first time, BUT word was, from the local next to me munching on the Cubano that he calls da' bomb, he told me the cheesesteak is right in line with the rest of the offerings. Verdict: I don't know if the chef is a beer drinker but he plates a beer drinkers meal. First bite of the cheesesteak was a little bready, and I started thinking I should have stuck with the staples. Second bite changed everything. I'm not going into the gooey, orgasmic details, it was just phenomenal. The star of the show was the bread. The same bread that caused me hesitation on the first bite. Incredible. I'm coming back for every sandwich on the menu, and you should too!

The whole place has that genuine hometown vibe that's getting harder to find, plus consistently great live music (Sundays especially). It's on the smaller side, but they somehow pack the place without sacrificing service, which says a lot. When the weather warms up, they open up a large alley next to the pub for live music--and that's where this place really shines. On a crisp fall day? Forget about it... that's exactly where I want to be. Good food, good people, good music--what more do you need? Enjoy the good times ahead.

It opened at 11:30 so we arrived close to that time, with no reservation. The decor was beautiful and with a fresh nautical feel. We were greeted warmly when we walked in the door and seated right away by the window with a view of the harbor and boats. Our waitress came over right away and gave us our menus - three of them. One was a regular menu, one was lunch specials, and I think the other one was for Chef's selections. I ordered the Chicken Carbonara on the lunch menu and it was amazing! The portion was just enough and was very flavorful and fresh. My friends had chicken Caesar salad and a mixed bowl (not sure about this one). I didn't take pics of our food because we all just dove right in, but I DID take a picture of our dessert. OMG it was bread pudding with fresh whipped cream and ice cream - soooo good!! The place filled up pretty quickly by the time we left it was full. The prices were reasonable and the wine was just fine! I wish I could remember the waitresses name to give her a shout out because she was a doll! Can't wait to visit again!

Review for The Sail Loft - Padanaram, MA…read more If you find yourself in Padanaram (a.k.a. the South Dartmouth secret locals don't really want you to know about), and you skip The Sail Loft? Rookie mistake. This place is the salty soul of Buzzards Bay. Perched right by the marina, it's where boat shoes meet bar stools. You'll see folks who just stepped off a sailboat rubbing elbows with couples dressed for a night in the village. No dress code. No pretension. Just pure coastal New England charm and a vibe that's always buzzing. The inside is lively, the outdoor patio catches that perfect sea breeze, and the bar? It's the heartbeat of the joint. We didn't have a reservation (whoops), and the place was packed--but the bar area saved the day. We snagged a high top by the window just as the line started snaking out the door. The bartenders? Total pros. Fast, friendly, and somehow everywhere at once, without making you feel like an afterthought. Gold star. We kicked off with a round of Apple Martinis--sweet, strong, and not here to mess around. Then came the chowder: a bowl of creamy, clammy goodness, thick enough to stand a spoon in. Potatoes, herbs, and enough richness to warm you from the inside out--June evenings by the bay aren't always balmy. But the star of the show? That lobster roll. Two options: cold and classic, or warm and buttery. We went warm--because why wouldn't you want your lobster swimming in butter? Nestled in a toasted sourdough roll and served with coleslaw and fries. And not just one or the other--both. Apparently, the kitchen was feeling generous, and we weren't about to say no. The fries were crisp on the outside, fluffy inside. The slaw? Creamy, crunchy, and perfectly chilled. Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Sail Loft is the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer, order another drink, and pretend the boat docked outside is yours.
