    Tiny portions and soggy toast

Me and my husband were up early and starving and our fave place wasn't answering so we tried platters. NEVER AGAIN! Our coffee milks were light- that alone would have been fine. However, both of our omelettes had barely any cheese. Home fries sucked. Toast was more like soggy bread than toast. My bacon was good, but my hungry husbands sausage? BLACK BURNT TO A CRISP!! He likes his food crispy and could not eat it so it was bad. That's not all. The guy who I'm assuming was the owner had seen me grab straws utensils and napkins. He said 'she already put them in the bag' well I definitely was not going to put them back I mean that's unsanitary. The guy seriously reached in our bag and took our utensils out and put them back for other customers.

On a whim, a dining partner and I decided to try this place. I can't believe that living in a place almost 9 years I had never been in. I can guarantee you that i'm going back. Our waitress Rachel was very friendly and helpful. They have a special for $7.25 that gives you two eggs(I chose scrambled with cheese), two pancakes, home fries, toast if you want it, and a choice of two meats(I chose sausage and bacon). The coffee was good and also hot. My dining partner chose the same special with french toast and sunny side up eggs. They give you a lot of food. There were local people there and a good vibe all around. If you're looking for good food this is it. If you blink twice you might miss it. For lunch they offer a hamburger with chips and a pickle. Also a cheeseburger with chips and a pickle for $3.05 and $3.25 respectively. Add 25 cents for take out. I will be returning soon.

The Large Breakfast (I think that's what it was called).

I was on my way to Willow Tree. The parking lot was ridiculously full and I just didn't want the hassle. I kept driving. Didn't want Dunkin, Honeydew is closed (gasp!), and didn't want Burger King. Ive driven by Platters so many times over the years, but I've never eaten there. The place isn't much to look at. Don't let that deceive you. I often go for breakfast alone, because I get up much earlier than my husband and daughter. I was able to grab a table right away. My waitress, Janis, was super nice and attentive. Menu is on the table already, and I start to take a look. She came right over with the coffee pot. She filled that coffee cup so many times that I stopped counting after five times. I'm a big girl and hell, I like to eat, so I got the Large Breakfast. Two eggs, potatoes, two pancakes or French toast, choice of two meats ( I got bacon and sausage). The best part? I was offered sweat bread for my toast! Omg yummmm. Janis said they offer lunch, too. It was such a nice, homey atmosphere. Everyone seemed to know each other. I can't wait to go back, both with my family and by myself.

I've only been here a handful of times, and the food is always good. Sadly, I haven't always been great about taking photos. One thing that has been disappointing is the fact that, if it has kids, it wouldn't let them to put something like fish and chips on it. No. Paying homage to the seafaring town that the restaurant resides in, and the fact that the restaurant does host a massive amount of seafood for the adults, offering some smaller portion for the kiddos would be nice. The only way around it was ordering shrimp at $4 each and sharing some of our sides in order to make an entrée for our son. I know this is a minor gripe but it's kind of unfortunate for a place like Cisco. It won't stop us from coming. It's just now we know how to make it work. (And maybe now other people reading this will also know.) Can't wait to try the outdoor seating when the weather is nicer it does look pretty awesome. For some reason, we always gone when it's too cold to enjoy.
