The most authentic items were the cheese rolls - closer to popovers than biscuits w/ a smooth, creamy interior - and the peppers. Be careful of anything small and green or red! I can handle hot seasonings (habenero) and those little chilis got me! We also chose the meat rotations. They came out hot and frequently. It wasn't until late in our meal that the medium rare and rare meats were presented. Until then, all the meats were medium and well done. Surprisingly, kitchen staff were seated in the middle of the restaurant, complete with kitchen aprons, enjoying their meals. I wonder why, though. Most restaurants serve their staff Family Meal before the supper rush - privately. Restaurant was very busy for a Thursday. Many people were sung to at dessert (? birthdays?), and then, the graduates arrived with their guests! All in all, a fun night out, and something new.

We made our first trip to the buffet and bar and there were so many choices! Hearts of palm, stuffed grape leaves, everything you could want for a salad bar, cheeses, hot sides, traditional Brazilian meat dishes, cheese rolls, fish, clam chowder and much, much more. While we were enjoying these items back at our table, we also turned our cards to green and strted experiencing the freshly sliced meats. Such a variety of beef cuts, lamb, chicken, sausage, and more. It was all super high quality, very tender, well seasoned, and I honestly don't know which were my favorites. Meat service was frequent - we were never without food and really never had to wait. They just kept coming and coming, and we kept trying more succulent meats. We finished our meal with the most delicious grilled pineapple and also the cheese with honey. Yum! Although there is a lovely dessert menu, we were too full to partake, and the pineapple and cheese hit the spot. The price for the unlimited buffet and meats is just under $50 per person, which at first seems a bit pricey, but when you look at all of the options and the quality of both the buffet and the meats, it is really a great deal! this is the third Brazilian restaurant I've been to, having been to one in Providence and one in Ogunquit, and Churrascaria Tropeiro's Grill is by far the best out of the three. I selected a 24-oz bone-in ribeye from the glass case and ordered it medium rare (warm red center). It arrived overcooked to medium (pink), which our waitress agreed with. I went back to the case and selected another 24-oz bone-in ribeye. I got to watch my wife eat her dinner while I sat there hungry, waiting. When the second steak showed up, it was cooked as ordered and was delicious, but my wife was already done with her meal. I do give the waitress credit for repeatedly apologizing, and for bringing me fresh sides when the second steak showed up. When I paid the bill (see photo) using their on-table, digital device, I immediately noticed that the first steak (the one that was sent back overcooked) was priced at $35.99, while the second, identical replacement steak was $48.99. When I brought this to the attention of the server, she said it was because she actually undercharged me for the first steak and so the second steak's price was actually correct. I wasn't too pleased, especially as she didn't bother to mention anything. The waitress sent the manager over, who was great, and she gave us a gift certificate for two, $20 entrees. She also comped us one dessert, which we appreciated. At this point, I was more or less OK with the experience, because nobody's perfect, and the restaurant made a meaningful gesture to address the two issues (overcooked first steak and second steak priced $13 more on the bill). The worst part of the experience came when I took one more look at the bill after getting home. I did some quick math and realized that they calculated my 20% tip on BOTH steaks (the returned $35.99 one AND the $48.99 replacement), as well as on the $8.99 dessert that the manager had comped us. This resulted in the waitress getting a 30%, $27.59 tip instead of a 20%, $18.59 tip (see attached bill). This really disappointed me, and put a bad taste in our mouths about the Dartmouth Texas Roadhouse.

We ordered the family meal with sirloin steaks, and it was an incredible amount of food for the price. You get four steaks (2 six-ounce and 2 eight-ounce), and all of ours were cooked perfectly medium rare even by the time we got it home. It also comes with four pints of sides, a large family-size salad, and twelve rolls with all the fixings. You can half gallons of tea or lemonade, so we added lemonade. It was very sweet, but I watered it down and honestly got even more lemonade out of it, so not a bad deal. Overall, for nights when you don't feel like cooking, this is unbeatable value. There are different price/food options, but we paid $55 and it was more than worth it. I've eaten inside before and always have a good experience at this location, the customer service is great and the restaurant is clean. But it is a chain steakhouse so flavor can be lacking at times.
