I could not have asked for a more pleasant and attentive staff and owners. The space is very comfortable and the food was incredible! I am so looking forward to when they start serving dinner. My gf wanted to try the latest addition to the Westwood area and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing with an open and airy feeling. The tables are perfectly spaced. Now to the food, brunch fare with an exotic twist. As you can see from my pics we couldn't wait to dig into the scrumptious food. The Benito was fabulous, the eggs were perfectly cooked and the focaccia bread was crunchy yet super absorbent of the egg yolk with a nice chew. The chicken pesto panini was light and flavorful, also the pesto sauce is nut-free. The fried plantains are house made and so good. Since it was a soft opening, there were no dessert choices just pastries, we decided to try the Tres Leches French Toast, with extra sauce on the side, OH MY, the highlight of our meal!!! We inhaled it so fast I didn't even get a picture! An absolute must try!!!! The proprietor stopped by our table to check in on us, he was very friendly and accommodating. He graciously brought over a delicious custard danish with guava jam gratis! Mouth watering good, we inhaled it on top of the Tres Leches French Toast. Moreover, he mentioned that they will soon open for dinner next month. We got a tour of the beautiful downstairs where the vault is located which will be the dinner dining area. As all newly opened places, they are working through the kinks, although a bit inexperienced, the servers were friendly and obliging. We are certainly going back soon to this fantastic restaurant! My wife and I went in for late breakfast on a Saturday. We were seated as soon as we got there and ordered coffee. When the coffee came, we ordered our food. Coffee was it but ad a strange aftertaste. Our food came out and it was okay. I had just gotten the bacon and eggs. Everything was fresh except for the potatoes. You can ell they had been sitting for a while. My wife said the same about hers also. The real issue I had was no one ever came back to the table again. Not to ask if we needed anything, not to refill our water, nothing. We finished eating and sat there for a while with doses on the table, napkins on top to let them know we were done. I finally had to go up to the hostess to ask for our check. The other issue is with the high ceilings it got a bit noisy. Overall - food was good - service was lacking read more

Soft opening! The service was extremely slow but hoping it gets better since they just opened. The interior is super cute - high ceilings and open space. The food was yummy! I loved my skillet. I walked into this place asking for a table for 8 and I was asked if I had reservations which I did not. The host said he has to ask his manager who then walked over and said she not could not accommodate because I didn't have a reservation, which I understood. However, just 5 minutes later, my father walked in asking for the exact same table size (not knowing I had already walked in) and suddenly there was availability. The only noticeable difference was that I was casually dressed in a sweatshirt. This experience was very frustrating and honestly felt discriminatory and judgmental. Customers should be treated equally regardless of appearance or attire. Sadly, this experience left a very negative impression. read more

I like this place and especially the people who work here, but I want to note that cheddar, especially a flavorless and waxy one, is not a good cheese for a breakfast sandwich, nor is a thin slice of toast, which sops up all the oil and becomes soggy, the appropriate bread. The pancakes and waffle tasted good but the rest was disappointing. The fresh OJ had added carbonation which was undesired and not indicated on the menu. The service was very slow which was odd because the restaurant wasn't busy and I counted 6 employees standing at the front doing nothing. One was looking at his phone and a few made eye contact with us while we were trying to get someone's attention for the check. The atmosphere is warm and airy and the staff is helpful and attentive. I love the giant view into the bakery space through the large glass windows. Visited this charming cafe this morning for a cappuccino and a pour over coffee for my daughter and her boyfriend. Attentive service and a "genuineness" vibe from the owners. I absolutely loved that you could view the baker making his bread through the giant window in the center of the restaurant. It has a very NYC feel. I hope they'll be open for dinner eventually. I stopped into this new establishment on the night of westwood's home for the holidays event with high hopes as they did a nice job of converting a bank into a food establishment. The decor is esthetically pleasing and looks like they put a lot of money and time into the build out. I met the owners and the were very pompous and dismissive when I tried to make some friendly conversation. I decided to move past their rudeness and give some of their baked goods a shot. I was told by Rosangelly herself that this would be the number one dining experience I have ever had, as this little town has never had high class cultured food like this before. I found that comment to be a bit demeaning and ultimately found the food underwhelming and unimpressive. The cinnamon bun was dry, tasteless and lacking cinnamon with a sour tasting cream cheese icing. I also tried a pistachio chocolate chip cookie which was rock hard and not very tasty at all. The experience overall was bad and left me feeling worse than when I arrived which is never the experience I'm looking for. I won't be going back. EVER!! read more
