We work with master gardeners and designers so we don't generally hire LJ for landscaping. The total paid to LJ including labor and supplies was approx $30,000. Many of the projects were completed to our delight, some to our satisfaction, and most recently we noticed a slip in quality. Overall we recommend LJ. And would suggest Ro anyone engaging them to walk everything down - grading, elevation, proper footing, dimensions, methods TWICE. Go over everything twice. Make sure you are on the same page and that the final intended put-through end result is CLEAR. What they did: 1) retaining walls - mortared w flagstone (6) 2) retaining wall - dry stack w shale (1) 3) added stairs to existing wall (3) 4) flagstone walkway (4) 5) convert lawn to river rock bed (1) 6) add shale surfacing to compressor slab (2) 7) install compressor slab to protect/land HVAC and split compressors 8) weed, edge, mulch large garden bed (1) 9) install flagstone landings (3) 10) source, deliver and place large boulders (one pallet)

I contacted Nature's Friends to sort out my issues and Cliff was over at my house in no time. He talked through any prior water retention issues I had, and came up with a plan to future proof our house from any flooding that could happen with big storms. The crew were back out within a few days and executed the plan as Cliff specified. The laborers placed one of the pop-ups a little too close to the house, and without any intervention, the day-of-supervisor spoke with me to let me know they would extend it according to plan, and corrected everything. They also replaced my sump pump, which was not the easiest thing due to a seized grate closure (see pics), and at a fraction of the price quoted by plumbers. I was really impressed with how quick everything was completed, and for a job like this (digging long trenches to run PVC), my yard looks nearly immaculate. They gave me instructions to heal the grass patches so my lawn would look as it did before in no time. After the work was done, Cliff reached out to make sure all was working well when it rained. I highly recommend reaching out to Nature's Friend for any of your needs -- you can tell they really care about their customers, and I will be reaching out to them for any future landscaping needs.

They completely misled us on the scope of work for the back and planted the front in late fall, just as the weather turned cold. And the cost was astronomical! Now half the plants are dead because of the brutal winter even though I asked them if we were planting too late. And I'm spending all kinds of time and effort to keep the remaining plants alive. Honestly can't thank Luis and his team enough. After this intense summer, the lawn was a mess. I…read moreknew I'd have to do a bit maintenance job in the fall and spring. I saw the temperatures dip and I bought a dethatcher to get to work. I set this weekend aside to do the work. I scheduled another company to come do the aeration. I spent Friday afternoon and Saturday morning mowing low and dethatching. At 2:30, the person supposed to do the aeration told me their machine broke. It was scheduled to rain at 4pm so I was a little frantic. Luis was able to fit me in at 4:20 and his team got to work. Luckily the rain held off. As they were aerating, I was overseeding lol. Started to drizzle as we were all finishing up. I managed to lay down some fertilizer just before the rain intensified. I can't thank Luis enough for doing such a last min job and considering it was just to aerate. They drove all the way from laurel just to help me out. More than the work itself, I really speak to the kindness he showed. Even when he arrived, we had a very nice conversation and it was just overall a nice exchange. I'll def look to work with Luis and his team again in the future.
