We had a beautiful red fern which grew in back corner of our home for years and now it has been destroyed as well as a oak tree we planned, three years old, was cut down. We didn't request this at all, and if they had intended to do it, they did not consult with us first but they simply did it. No company that we've ever contracted with ever simply unilaterally started doing things on their own without first notifying the homeowner of what they were going to do before they did it even if there were a contract or anything the homeowner was consulted first of what was going to be done first before the work started. The workers just literally took it on it on themselves, as if they live here , and start chopping ...extremely disappointed and extremely disturbing. Upon complaining to the manager, the manager came out to our home , very belligerent, refused to listen and said it was nothing wrong. We asked him to leave our property. He would not and we had to called law-enforcement to have him removed from my property . We do not want anything further to do with this company and we cancelled our contract forthwith . read more

I take back what I said previously. I'm glad I was lazy about changing landscapers because with Carlos' new pricing structure, they are exactly what I wanted from a landscaper. The guys are working tirelessly for several hours (and still going) to make sure the mulch beds and edging look immaculate. It's close to 100 outside and these guys are kicking butt. I highly recommend Carlos and his landscaping company! My parents needed yard work done for their townhouse within the week since it was going up for sell in just several days. Many landscaping companies I called couldn't provide services due to weather restrictions or within our time frame. Calling Carlos, I knew I was requesting services last minute, but he came out to inspect the yard that very day and scheduled the work on Friday, a day before open house. Be aware that Rodriguez Landscaping does not provide free estimates if you want a landscape design. Other company's do, but not Rodriguez Landscaping. They charged me $150, which I foolishly paid. It became apparent fairly soon that they really do not know how to design a landscape. So before getting the design I asked them for a refund of the $150 I had paid. I was told that the money would not be refunded. He refused to refund the $150, but had not given me the design so I had to ask for the design. Sad that I had to ask for the design. He agreed via email to provide the design but did not do so. I had to send another email asking for the design and he finally dropped it off. The design provided did not include any estimate of costs for the work. Not only does Rodriguez Landscaping charge for a landscape design and they do not know how to design a landscape, they also mixed up our appointments twice and seemed to get annoyed when he showed up and no one was home - he showed up on the wrong date and time. Overall very disappointing and I would not recommending using Rodriguez Landscaping for a landscape design. read more

He and his team arrived on schedule, as promised. And, they were organized, courteous and worked diligently to make my yard beautiful. They removed plants, shrubs and weeds. Planted topiaries, boxwoods, roses and replanted other plants in new locations. Mulched and edged the garden beds. I started having them mow my lawn last year when my mower broke and I was just too lazy to fix it. I figured that I'd get my mower fixed and stop the service in a month or two. But they do such a nice job that I never even tried to fix my mower. The lawn looks so nice when they are done, better than I ever made it look. I had this team cutting my lawn for quite a while. Initially had a few issues such as them actually not cutting portions of my yard, or cuts being very sloppy, they also demolished some tree roots by running over them. I felt this was a small thing as its a young guy who is running his own company and I can respect that. the billing and cutting times were a bit erratic, but then it all kinda smoothed out and i think he got his process in order. I have however decided to not continue using them this season, as they simply didn't cut my lawn for roughly 1 month when I had asked them to, on top of this they seem to prefer coming to your house and talking to you ( even though I have asked them not to, as my dogs hate them) One additional thing is his estimates for additional work either never came in, or when they did come in they were at least 2 times higher than everyone else, if not more. 60$ to trim some hedges when I did it myself in less than 10 minutes seems a bit nuts. Another thing is after letting them go I received quite a few follow on emails/contact asking if I would take them back, when I asked with all these issues " why should I go with you again " I got a simple answer that sounded like " well you should, and if you do call us" its a local business, guy lives a few blocks away, but until the company matures Its just more stress dealing with them than it is worth. read more

I usually don't write reviews but now I feel I have to write. After browsing online for a good landscaper company, this one caught my eye. I called twice and was transferred by automated voice message to inbox that was full!!!! so you cannot leave the voice message. Then, I submitted the form online with my information (name, email, address and phone#). Three hours later I got an email saying "Thank you for contacting us". Then 30 min later I got another email stating they don't serve the area where I live. My house is about 5 miles away from that company. . Now, I am wondering who do they serve if the office location at Chantilly, VA....must be Maryland or Washington DC? There are few nice comments about that company but I am giving the lowest as possible.
