The winter storm that struck the Washington DC metro region (and beyond) in late January left me…read moreiced in my home for eight (8) days. When the snow began to fall, I quickly shoveled off my porch, walkway & driveway. My plan was to pace myself & repeat the process a few hours later but unfortunately, my plan didn't work as I fell asleep! When I woke up to return to shoveling, I heard ice coming down. Upon going outside, the ice was already stuck-frozen solid-and kept coming down so I figured, "Oh well." That "Oh well" quickly turned into a frigid "Oh hell" the following day. Even with the sun shining, the ice was stubborn & my house being situated on the shady side of the street also didn't help. Days went by & I dealt with it because I was warm & toasty inside & had plenty of junk food to keep me distracted. But then I realized that it was time to get my car warmed up & on the road so that the engine oil didn't thicken too much; that's when the frustration AKA panic set in. I couldn't find anyone to remove the ice! Sure, I neglected to buy de-icer at the hardware store a couple weeks before the storm, but I never NEEDED it in the past & I don't think anyone was truly prepared for Ice-mageddon. So I started Googling snow removal companies & that's when I found Benitez Landscaping Pro Services. I was apprehensive about contacting the company as there weren't many reviews to check out & those that were available focused on lawn care. But then I saw a couple 5-star reviews praising them for their snow removal services during the same winter storm & that's when I knew I had to hire them. I sent photos of what needed to be cleared, received a reasonable quote (hefty but reasonable for what was performed) & they were at my residence in no time! I complemented the lady I spoke with via telephone when the gentlemen were wrapping up the job at my home, telling her that it was such a relief that they delivered the services I desperately requested in such a timely fashion. She was very understanding & I can't recommend Benitez Landscaping Pro Services enough!

All in all, I would highly recommend him, both for ongoing gardening or for a specific project.

We came up with a plan as to how the old and the new brick. The front yard was easy. They even outlined space and added mulch for future planting in the spring. The backyard was problematic because they did not buy enough brick. They bought more bricks, but it did not match the color of the original brick. Unfortunately, the workmen finished the work anyway without consulting me or the project manager (Ms. Anne). It looked bad. After some discussion with Ms. Anne, we decided how to relay the bricks indicating what color would go where. So instead of a 2-color design, I had 3. The issue with the brickwork is why I gave them 4 stars. I would and I have recommended them to my friends. Everything others have written about Ms Anne is absolutely true.
