Can you repair a burst pipe that is in the ground?

Can you service a pool with a clogged drain?

We do not have any experience clearing clogged pool drains. I'm not sure where you have access to or where it's from but we do have a power jetter that maybe able to clear it I just don't know much about pool drains.

Can you install a gas conector so we can plug in a generator?

Yes that is possible.

Are you guys able to repair a shower faucet that I can't turn off? Edit: thanks to YouTube, I was able to purchase the tools/parts needed to fix it myself, but I appreciate y'all and know I'll be calling y'all again soon (older house, frequent flyer)

Recently had Rooter Man come out to look at several items that I needed done at the house to get some of the plumbing updated and repaired so that I can consider renting it out in the future. From the initial walk-through and estimate with David, coordination received from Misti and Jacky, and excellent plumbing work done by Luke and Colin, it was an awesome experience and I highly recommend them! Work performed with my notes interjected: 4 replacements of emergency shutoff valves to sinks, which were corroded beyond use, replaced the lav sink drain mechanism (pop-up) in the bathroom, which had broken and corroded off, replaced the cartridge in a single handle shower faucet, which was needed for regulating hot water and had stopped working properly, capped off the gas valve to the stove as I plan on looking into replacing that situation with an electric stove, replaced the fill valve and water supply line as well as flapper in the toilet tank, just to maintain the toilet with higher level parts and stopping a leaky valve, installed a new premium basket strainer on the kitchen sink as the previous one was extremely worn and unappealing to look at, installed a new premium all brass pressure reducing valve that maintains a safe operating water pressure as my house was previously running at 100 psi which is a no no and not to code, replaced/added a ProPress local shutoff valve to get the AC to not drip out back which has been attracting animals/bugs to the water run off, and also raised the existing toilet to fix the mounting hardware which had rotted off and replaced hardware below to stop a slow leak that was found as well. In my experience with them, Rooter Man folks know their work backwards and forwards and communicated as needed with me to make sure I understood the work they were doing and answered all my questions. They also had the ability to make existing things work that did not before through high level skill, thinking through the situation thoroughly and providing the best solution overall to a situation. Lastly, because Rooter Man work was done professionally and correctly I now have peace of mind knowing I won't have city issues when I turn to renting this house. Photos below show some of the work performed just in terms of what it looked like afterward. I am extremely happy with the work done by Curtis and Dru. Curtis fixed a toilet and replaced my hot water heater. I had originally planned to have the water heater flushed out as part of a normal maintenance process but Curtis was very thorough in explaining why I should consider a replacement, including the cost, time, why it was not up to code, the process, etc. The water heater was over 15 years old (I purchased the house 2 years ago so I wasn't sure the last time it had been flushed out). They were very professional, extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and cleaned up everything thoroughly. When they removed the old water heater and took it down the stairs it left a trail of rust particles but they had covered the carpet and stairs carefully beforehand so it was not a problem. After seeing that I was relieved that I had made the decision to go ahead and replace it and use Rooter-Man! They had all the necessary tools, parts, tarps and everything needed the first time already in their big Rooter-Man vans. The office staff was awesome in my initial call to schedule the appointment which they scheduled for the next day. Curtis let me know when he would be arriving and followed up promptly when he had to come back the next day to replace the water heater (after picking up the water heater). Won't be calling anyone else after this great experience. read more

Well, I've got to tell you! I've never been happier to write a review for Rooter Man of Austin. Curtis Kurka and his apprentice Shane Walters provided extraordinary quality customer service for a most complicated and complex plumbing project. My home was built in 1970 and as was the norm back then, all sewer pipes under the foundation were cast iron and over the years these corrode causing major plumbing issues and the only alternative is to have a complete re-pipe with PVC. This first required tunneling which in my case required 5 tunnel entrances around the exterior. This portion of the job was performed by a foundation crew who did an excellent job. Then comes the painstaking job of Curtis and Shane removing all the old cast iron, all the while working within very tight underground tunnels. Curtis is extremely knowledgeable and worked tirelessly to make sure the job was done right way and always was mindful to keep me updated every step of the way . I'm very grateful for all the time and effort put forth. I'm extremely pleased and now worry-free that my plumbing issues are now in the past! Thanks so much. read more

I was on the phone with my grandmother earlier today and I went out in my front yard for something only to find it flooded. With no rain having happened for days. Called about a dozen plumbers only to be told they were booking two weeks out or couldn't come until next week. I can't live in my house for weeks without water! Finally called Rooterman, they had an opening. They sent Kirk to my house and he managed to fix the problem (a horrifying DIY that had been done before we bought the house and gone horribly awry) within a couple of hours. My yard was so soaked he couldn't keep water out of the hole even vacuuming constantly, but he persevered. I have water and it's all thanks to him. He was professional, funny and kind. I really enjoyed meeting him. As an A+ service? My fenced yard's gates don't auto close. I've never had a workman manage to remember to close the gates before after going through them. When I went to let my dog out after he'd been here, I went to check the gates, and Kirk had remembered. It's the little things that matter. I'll DEFINITELY be using Kirk again soon. I hired Rooter-Man to replace a broken drainage line from my home to the city sewer. It seemed to me to be a major repair, but everyone at Rooter-Man put my mind at ease that this was- for them- a routine job. Their calm demeanor and professionalism made me comfortable from the start that I had made a good decision to utilize their services. Upfront, I was appraised by Drain Specialist DavidJ as to the specific issue, what exactly needed to be done- and the cost/timeline to do so. David very patiently answered all of my questions and used language that I (as a non-professional plumber) could understand. Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher Misti then kept in touch via text and phone throughout the process- and was always available to provide kind and useful updates. Finally, Manager Cody helped me understand the city's inspection process and made sure that all required documentation from the both Inspector and Engineer was obtained. Best of all, this job was done right on budget and 5 days BEFORE it was promised. It's hard to do better than that! I highly recommend the team at Rooter-Man. read more

Would give 6 stars if possible, Dave and Kyle are a phenomenal team. Had a leaking drain pipe under a shower stall . Plumber called out by the tile company doing the demo was seriously suggesting tearing up the flooring & foundation for several feet to get to the drain pipe . . . whoa. Time for second opinions. Dave came out and in about 5 minutes looked with his flashlight at the drain (no $$$ camera needed he said), identified the problem (no massive floor excavation, either). Beautiful repair! Tight as a tick. After the shower stall was rebuilt & tiled, Kyle came out and put in a new handheld + fixed shower head arrangement - which was his workaround & upgrade for the Moen fittings kit I'd bought that didn't include a critical part. It's a beautiful upgrade to the shower stall, and it really brought it to the next level. They're clean, efficient, and extremely punctual. The woman who runs the office is super organized (she's awesome!) and remembers you when you call ("do you want Kyle to call your husband's cell when he's on his way?" Yes, please). Just an all-around fantastic business. read more

Problem: rotten egg smell coming from water heater when hot water was on. Plumber subcontractor for the builder who was doing renovations said the solution was to install water softener and that seemed odd as there had never been a problem before. Called Rooter Man and Curtis arrived. His solution: turn off heater (electric), flush, open up, take out anode/rod inside, and replace (he had a replacement in his truck). His solution worked and the price was very reasonable. Curtis also told us to flush the water heater -- not drain, but flush, after turning off electricity to it, once a year and periodically replace the anode. Thank you, Curtis and Rooter Man. We will definitely use you again. Also, given where water heater is located, through a separate door to a small room built into the home about 15 - 18 feet from the ground, Curtis had to get his ladder to get to the space where he could sit or stand but not walk around. Curtis was polite, professional, and did not complain about the difficulty in accessing the space. He also showed us how to flush the tank. read more

My first and only experience with Rooter-Man was outstanding! As a long time home owner retiree and having career electro-mechanical hands-on experience, I have done my share of home and work related plumbing. I had a tub drain that I knew would require a small power drain snake to clear. I didn't have one, and that day, didn't want to rent one to do the work myself. A friend recommended Rooter-Man. After my call, Emillio was scheduled and did arrive a few minutes early after his pre-arrival call. He cleared the drain quickly with the power snake. I was so pleased with his friendly and professional manner, that I showed him other work I had been putting off. Bottom line, by the end of the next day he had, by himself, replaced (2) old style commodes, and replaced all items at the tub, incl., drain parts, faucets, shower fittings, connecting copper and fittings. I highly recommend Rooter-Man, and ask them to send Emillio. I will definitely call them again. read more

I was checking my condo one more time prior to tenants moving in the next day. When I entered the unit I found that the other units' bathrooms had backed up into the bath tub. I called a number of plumbing companies but no one could come out on such short notice, especially on a Friday. Luckily I call Rooter-Man. Curtis called me before he was scheduled to come out and arrived early. He inspected the entire building and found the problem in a stopped up main drain. He also detected a problem with that toilet installation and fixed that too. He really knows what he is doing, was patient, thorough and left the work place cleaner than he found it. His full report on his work allowed me to submit the invoice to the property managers for a refund since the repair was the responsibility of the property managers. I've never been more impressed with a service company or serviceman. Curtis is the best, so is Rooter-Man. Thanks guys! read more

I would not give any stars to this company, but one is the lowest amount Yelp would allow. Rooter-man was contacted through our American Home Shield (don't get me started here either) to come take a look at our water heater. They agreed that it needed to be replaced and AHS would pay for up to $250 worth of code upgrades as well. It sounded like a great thing, until they gave us the estimate for the cost over that which was covered by AHS. They estimated a total of $1132 for code upgrades of which $882 was our portion! I called 2 other companies that had 5 star reviews and both of which had been in business for many years. BOTH quotes were less than half and closer to 1/3 of this amount for the exact same work - line for line. These guys are trying to recoup the amounts that AHS doesn't pay them by overcharging on everything else. I would not use ANY company that works with warranty service providers. BEWARE. read more

When i was looking for a plumber i immediately went to Yelp for reviews and found Rooter-Man was the best in my area. I called and the woman who took my call on Friday was kind and very helpful and got me scheduled for first of Monday morning. I had to come into work so I was nervous with having some one there with my wife and kids. They sent a man named Edward Pollack, and he was top shelf! He was on time, communicated prior to his arrival and covid protected. He came in and talked with and not at my wife, and had her understand the process from start to finish. Edward quoted the project and ended up being on the low side of the the estimate, which made me happy. In today's society it is great to see their are still stand up companies and men like Edward Pollack. I would give Rooter-Man a "10" if i could and i would recommend them to everyone! These guys saved me from spending $800!! I had another plumber tell me I'd have to replace a faucet. It didn't feel right so I called the manufacturer and found out they have replacement kits with ALL the parts for $50. Still this first plumber insisted that wouldn't work and told me they would only come back if I ordered the entire new faucet for $800. Thankfully I called Rooter-Man Austin for a second opinion. Rooter-Man sent out one of their all-stars (Eddie) who went above and beyond. Eddie used the replacement kit I ordered for $50 and got the job done. He was a super hard worker, knew his stuff and was also sensitive to the fact that we had to have the repair ASAP to avoid any impacts to the closing/sell of our condo. We can't thank Eddie enough and rest assured...if we need future plumbing work, Rooter-Man will be the first call we make. Highly recommended!! read more

We had a tricky 2000 gallon/day exterior leak emergency. Rooter-Man was able to get Eddie out the same day I called and he was able to completely solve the issue in a couple of hours. Eddie was polite, professional, and I was really impressed with his how careful he was to ensure everything was working correctly before he left. It is really nice to find a company that cares these days. I had previously called another company, and they were not even able to determine where the actual problem was. Eddie was able to find the leak, give me an estimate, and fix the issue, all in less time then it took the other company to write me up a couple of very expensive options to help them figure out where the real problem was. (i.e. this other compnay game me expensive options that wouldn't have even fixed the issue.) Without a doubt, I will be using Rooter-Man in the future. read more

We discovered a water heater leak at 9:30AM. They promised someone would be here between 3 and 5PM. Pierre was here by 3:30, confirmed what I suspected (leaking at element. doomed appliance). He fought rush hour Round Rock traffic to get a unit, got back about 5 or a little later, and was done by 7. He was cheery, professional, and left things in good shape. He explained everything well, added a drain pan sensor with cutoff valve, and even asked questions like whether it was OK to put a soaking wet towel (which I had used in the closet) in the tub before doing so. When I was going to clean what little leakage there was from carrying the old tank out, he took the towel and did it. This is teh second time we have used Rooter-Man. Both incidents were time critical for us, as we had several people staying with us each time. Rooter-Man came through. We like 'em. read more

I thought I had a drainage problem in a rent property and called Rooterman of Austin who I had used before with great results when clearing drains. In this case however, the drain was blocked by something hard and a snake would not clear it. Curtis, the very experienced and friendly Rooterman plumber, went underneath the building and figured out that some old shampoo caps were stuck in some old pipe and the pipe had to be replaced. It was arduous work, requiring a good deal of digging but Curtis got the job done for the estimate given. My tenants of 5+ years now report that the drain has never worked so well. Rooterman was very professional. They told me when they could schedule the work and stuck to the schedule. They gave me an estimate and stuck to the estimate. We had a dripping bathtub faucet and a toilet that needed to be replaced. Our home warranty company, Landmark, had contracted with Rooterman Plumbing. We were told that someone would be at our door between 8 and 10 today. Very promptly at 8:38 AM in the morning Emilio H. arrived at our door, after calling first to let us know he was on his way. I am usually apprehensive when a stranger is coming to our home to do repairs, but within minutes I was at ease. Not only is Emilio a perfect gentleman, he is very professional and very efficient. He explained what needed to be done in order to do the job right. No shortcuts. While I hope that we do not need plumbing repairs for quite a while, you can be sure when that time comes, we would ask for Emilio H at Rooterman Plumbing to do our repairs or replacements. I would like to take this moment and thank you for the quick response to my issue. My family owns commercial and residential real estate in central Texas, and I must tell you that finding reliable people with good work ethics is very hard these days. When I do run across such folks I do appreciate it and tend to keep them for future business association. I ran across your number in the internet, called and Dave answered the phone. Although he is very busy, he took time to associate with my issue. He spoke confidently and sounded very reliable with a good work ethic, which he demonstrated this morning by fitting me into his busy schedule and taking care of my tenants. We bought our house and found the gas meter reads too high. We called our gas company. They found that the gas pipeline has some leaking problem. They can not fix it because the pipeline is not under their service coverage, but they have to turn off the gas per their policy. We called Rooter-Man plumbing. Emilio H. came to our house for our service. Emilio H. was very helpful, polite, and solved the problem very quickly. Once finishing his work, Emilio suggested us to call the gas company immediately to check the pipeline again. This is really important because otherwise we will be out of gas for the whole weekend. The gas company came in the same day (we are lucky, we were told it is hard to schedule a same service). They verified the leaking problem was fixed. I would recommend Emilio H. and Rooter-Man to anyone. read more

Ed and Byron along with Rooterman's dispatcher on July 3 were really great. I called at 9 am thinking I wouldn't be able to get anyone out until after the 4th. The (very pleasent) dispatcher scheduled them for the same day between 11 and 1. Ed called and said they finished the prior job early could they show up about 10:30. My ground-valve downstream of the city water supply failed shut so I had no water to the half of my house serviced by the failed valve. The guys fixed it inside of three hours (including digging, root cutting, and reworking the configuration) for a fair price, adjusted my water pressure (both halves), and took a look at a problem my neighbor is having while the glue was drying on my job! Great service - fast, friendly, professional and solid work for a fair price. read more

We had a hot water leak in our foundation slab. Curtis was great - he identified the problem, isolated the broken section of pipe, and ran a new PEX pipe through the ceiling to bypass the leak. At the same time, we took the opportunity to replace our ~15-y-o water heater with a new unit and bring everything up to current code. He was flexible with his scheduling so we could get the drywall repaired before he returned the next day to install the new unit in front of the repaired section. And he came back the next day at no charge to clear our our kitchen faucet which had become clogged with some debris that had been dislodged from the old system. This is the third time we've used Rooter-Man now, and we've been very happy with their service every time. Highly recommended. read more
