Had to call someone to finally fix a slow drain. Came equipped with a camera, snake, and pressure washing jet. He showed me with the camera how plugged up it was with grease, snaked the drain, showed me again with the camera that it was still in bad shape. Mr. Kurka did a wonderful job installing a gas line for my new stove to be installed. The stove is from Best Buy, but the installers refused to install it because they said there was no room to get behind the (22 year old) stove to install the gas line. Mr. Kurka looked at it and saw that the shut off was beside the gas stove under a cabinet and was already turned off. He said BB should've been able to find it and install the line. I called another company when my high water alarm went off on my septic system. They replaced a pump and said it was fixed. A day later, we noticed the alarm going off and the pump running continuously. When I called the other company, they said they could not come back for four days because it was New Years weekend. This is when I called Rooter-Man. Minutes after speaking to their call center, I received a call from the owner who trouble-shooted the problem over the phone and resolved my problem. Absolutely the best plumber I have ever used. Eddie saved the day! After a DIY Water heater replacement, I had water pressure issues in kitchen sink and the shower, so clearly something went wrong. I messaged via the online system at 6:30 pm and got a call first thing in the morning saying they could come that day. They gave me a 2 hour window (not 6 like other places!) Eddie arrived and he was knowledgable, extremely friendly, down to earth and definitely knew his stuff. He diagnosed the issue thoroughly and gave us a solution and a very fair quote in less than an hour. All while wearing gloves, booties and a facemask to ensure his protection and ours during COVID. When he came back to do the work, it was done perfectly and professionally. We had to replace the tub/shower, pipes and all. Not only was his work done well, but he even said, "I don't like this one, I'll go get you a better one" and went to get a different tub spout that looked better and was better quality. In the past I've had a frustrating track record with plumbers--they can be hard to schedule and the quality of the work can be questionable. Rooter-man definitely deserves a five-star rating, and I'm glad I chose them when we suddenly found ourselves with a backed-up sewer line. From the very beginning, calling their scheduling/dispatch line was smooth and pleasant. When Curtis showed up, he was diligent in helping us explore the issue (which ended up being more than a simple pipe-unplugging) and figure out a resolution plan. While under the house, he brought another frightening issue to our attention and helped us get it fixed quickly. I feel that he cared a lot about getting our problems resolved, doing quality work, leaving everything clean and tidy, and keeping our costs down. Update...... The customer service of Rooter man plumbing is good. Their customer service manager contacted me to understand what my concern was. His attitude on solving the concern I had was good. They do care about their customer I'm sure now, and I will recommend Root man plumbing to my friends if my friends need help on plumbing stuff. ---------------------- What I experienced was that I was told the price range should be around $1500~$1800 over a phone call for replacing a water heater based on the area I live and how old water heater I had. So I agreed to let them send their plumber to my house for the replacement even though my old water heater was still functioning. However, the quotation the plumber gave me was $1937 after his quick assessment in my garage. I was surprised to the quote the plumber gave me, so I told him what the price range their representative told me. But it did not resolve the price issue and the plumber said I have to pay his company $79 if I did not let him work on the water heater replacement. If the plumber quoted me $1800 for replacing my water heater and I did not let him work on the replacement, I would pay the $79 for the service call without any question. Finally I paid $1937 to this company for the water heater replacement but I do feel very uncomfortable about the incorrect information their representative provided. I came home to the smell of sewage in my home and noticed residue in my tubs and dirty water on the floor. I called Rooter-Man and the wonderful woman who answered the phone encouraged me to find and open my clean out so that no more backflow would take place into my home. One of their techs, Byron, had just finished up and would be over in 30 minutes. Byron was absolutely amazing! He waded through the mess and got setup to unblock the pipe. After the water resided he got out the video camera to inspect the pipe and ensure the blockage was removed. He noted several areas of the pipe that had been broken due to tree roots. He also noticed that there was a piece of PVC pipe that was lodged inside so he retrieve the previous tool he used to unblock the pipe and worked until he was able to successfully follow the pipe with the video camera to ensure it was clear to the city connection. I was so impressed at his work ethic as he could've easily stopped once the water dropped, but he continued on ensuring that i had ample time to get the problem fixed. Tough job as he was able to remove cement around the buried sewer inlet, without destroying my tile, install a offset PVC flange, quick-dry cement it back, and install a new toilet and carry away the old. I read many of the reviews and was impressed by the number of positive reviews. My upstairs bathtub leaked through the kitchen ceiling so I decide to give a try on this company. The appointment was set on the same day between 2pm and 4pm. The dispatcher called around noon and said the repair person can come early and He did. It was Curtis who came to my home and I told him I read many recommendations about him. Curtis is good he quickly ruled out many possibilities and found the overflow drainage cover was loose and caused the leakage. He cut a hole in the ceiling and removed the sheetrock and insulation that have mold. And help me get in touch with the Dry Force to handle the mold and drying. Curtis came out to my place to do a diagnostic and attempted to rip me off for services that I did not want. Fortunately, his service manager interjected and honored the price $79 diagnostic fee that they originally agreed on with me. He did nothing that I couldn't do myself and I feel that the money spent with him was wasted. Plumbers are just so slimy. The funny thing is that I was taken aback so much that I didn't even look at the quote they gave me which would have actually been ok with me, but I was so discombobulated by their blatant attempt to rip me off.
