***STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY*** I called them on 5/11/21 to address a sewer backup. They were able to get someone out a couple of hours later, Logan. Logan removed my toilet put the auger down the line. Once he was done, he had a hand full of roots. Says he ran into 2 hard spots at 35 ft and 75ft, pulled out those roots, but didn't think that they were large enough to have caused a backup. He thought something had "shifted", probably causing a crack in my line. Said that he could only get so far with his equipment because of the obstruction. He recommended that I get a camera inspection to determine the cause of the obstruction. Couple hours later "Sam" comes to do a camera inspection and says, you have a root that caused a collapse in the line, and there is also a hole. I recommend replacing 8ft of line. Meanwhile, my toilet is sitting in my bathtub, I only have one bathroom, and am under the impression, that I can't use anything in my house until the broken line is repaired - high stress situation. They replace the 8 ft of line, same day. 2 days later, Sam comes out to re-camera inspect the line, says he can now see the other issue at 75ft. Says, he would recommend replacing another 8ft of line. I say nope, I'm not spending anymore money. He says, look, we'll cut you a deal, we can replace the entire line - another 50 feet for the same price we did the 8ft, and if you don't have the money we have financing - I felt like I was at a used car dealership with the high pressured sales pitch. At that point, it hit me, like a ton of bricks, my stomach sank. I've been totally lied to, taken advantage of, and scammed. From my personal experience, they took advantage of a high stressful situation, a single woman, they failed to disclose material information concerning the service, which was know at the time of sale, with an intention to induce me to enter into the transaction. He finally left after me telling him no several times. I immediately called the office and asked to speak with a manger, told them I was angry and wanted my money back. Spoke with John, he tries to explain they are a great family owned company, and he's being attacked for trying to give me a good deal, they are a reputable company, if they did business that way, they would be out of business. I say, how is it possible you can do 50 ft of line for the same price as 8ft? Says, we already have the permits, I say permits are a couple hundred dollars, that's not it. I said you scammed me, ***I asked for a refund, and he would not give me a refund. I said, well, I'm going to put my review up and pursue a legal remedy, he didn't think they did anything wrong.***. Clearly, this is a well oiled scam, with several people conspiring to make it work. Draw people in with a good deal on a drain clean, up the price of the clean once on site, say, its worse then you thought, but we can fix it right away, get you going. They do all of this under high pressure. I asked for a refund, they declined. I'll be pursuing all options available to me related to their deceptive trade practices, including civil remedies and filing a complaint with regulatory agencies and and Colorado AG's Fraud Reporting Center. read more

CHOOSE ANYONE ELSE. Rooter Town is a scam. Read in full- trust me. Thankfully they only wrangled $500 out of us before we realized what was happening. Between google reviews, Facebook, Yelp, & BBB, they have dozens of reviews that explain the exact situation we were in. We had some plumbing issues that we thought may be a clog of some sort in the sewer line. Two different techs from RT had to come, and we spent $500 to have them send a camera down to see what the problem was. We were told there was a crack in our pipe and it was going to collapse. They said we needed up to 10 feet of our sewer line replaced and quoted us $5800. They said it was emergent & we needed to get it fixed immediately. My partner told them he was going to get a couple more quotes since that's a lot of $. The tech then told us he could do $4800. My partner declined but said he would reach out if we wanted to go with them after getting a couple more quotes. Let me also add that they told us they would need permits from the city to do the job, but could start immediately. When we questioned how they could start with a permit secured, the tech said it was fine and not to worry about it. The next day we had a different company look at it. There is no crack. There was simply a root getting in the way, and the issue was remedied after a basic pipe cleaning that can be regularly done for $95. This second company also told us that NO WAY can you do the kind of work RT was suggesting without having a permit first. A THIRD company then came and confirmed the assessment of the second company- no cracked/ collapsing pipe. No need whatsoever to pay thousands of dollars, we just need to regularly clean for tree roots. After these assessments, I was very concerned that Rooter Town was SO far off from the actual problem, so I looked into some of their reviews. 4.6 on google seems great, but when you actually look at all the one star comments from google, Facebook, BBB, and Yelp, there are DOZENS explaining the exact same situation we were in. $5800 to fix a crack/ break in a sewer line, then, once they get into the job, they tell people more needs fixed than they originally thought and quite them an EXTRA $5-7,000. We read dozens of reviews from people who paid 5-15K on unneeded work on their sewer lines because Rooter Town lied about what needed done. And when those people want to see the video footage of the cracks, rooter town disappears and won't answer them. This is insane. I genuinely cannot believe they are still in business. There are reviews talking about this specific situation dating back to 2013! DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. We have filed a complaint with BBB just like dozens of other people have. I feel terrible that so many people have been taken advantage of. Idk how they live with themselves doing this to people. read more

You need plumbing work done? Look no further! Ok, So first things first... My wife and I were pretty frantic when we walk downstairs to a flooded basement. And not just flooded with water, no, it was SEWAGE water. An absolutely disgusting, smelly mess and again we didn't handle it well to say the least. So we called the pros at Rooter town. The lady who answered our initial call was friendly and I couldn't believe it but got us scheduled within the hour for a drain clean service. The guy who came out wore booties on his feet even when we told him it wasn't necessary. I was very impressed with his professionalism and willingness to explain the whole situation and what we needed to do. After the drain cleaning we opted to go with a camera scope to check out the condition of our sewer line since we live in an older home and heaven forbid I was going to let this happen again. A supervisor was sent out (again a very pleasant guy) and he showed us the camera footage live and we moved forward with a repair. Old clay pipes with roots! I guess thats what we get for wanting to live in a historic home in Denver. Now, I really can't say enough good things about the crew that did the work. I have never seen such a huge project with the big tractor excavator and all that goes into a sewer repair being handled with such care. My lawn is intact. My pavors are saved. It hardly looks like I had anything done! I am extremely impressed!! And I got it done way cheaper than my stingy neighbor! Yesterday, Colton from Rooter Town came out and gave us a free estimate to have a toilet installed, as we were having some leaking issues from upstairs toilet being flushed and leaking onto pipes downstairs. He thought it was a wax-ring that needed to be replaced, but to be safe, we decided to purchase a new toilet at Northglenn Lowes yesterday afternoon, since our existing toilet was old. There was no initial service fee to come out and evaluate the situation, which was surprising, as I have always paid service fees in the past to other plumbing companies. I coordinated with their dispatcher Ally, to see if Colton could pick up toilet today at Lowe's and that we would be happy to pay any extra fees for mileage and time. They said, no problem and that there would only be the $250.00 installation fee, and no extra charge. Today, because Colton was on another job that took a little longer than expected, Dave from Rooter Town came out with our new toilet he just picked up at Lowe's and installed the toilet in about 1 hour. There are no leaks and we are very happy with the work Dave performed. Both Colton and Dave were very courteous and professional. The gals who work in the office are also very courteous and helpful. I would recommend them for your plumbing needs and we will be using them for any plumbing issues we have in the future! read more

Rooter Town is an excellent company IMHO. We had a backed up sewer at our home for the third time in 3 months and a Rooter Town plumber recommended that a camera be ran down into the sewer line to see what was causing the repeated blockages. The next day a sharply dressed, very courteous young man named Clark (Supervisor) came by on time to survey the situation and ran the camera showing me that some tree roots still existed even after a 21/2" rooter blade was used prior. Clark explained that the 4" main line sewer pipe needed a 4" blade to clear all the tree roots, but the only way to do it is by installing a 4" outside sewer line entrance that would require digging a 8' deep hole. Then Rooter Town would put in a couple 4" sewer line entrances in order to maintain the sewer line properly due to the many tree roots. He said that the work would take only a couple hours. So, we had the work done and the sewer expertly cleaned by him again with the 4" blade. We were very impressed by Clark and all the workers we have met on site at our house who installed the 4" outside sewer line opening. We feel you all were both honest, courteous, professional, and did great work and we are very satisfied. Thank you Clark and thank you Rooter Town. read more

I had a bit of toilet trouble when a toddler flushed a Transformer toy and called Rooter Town. This is the 3rd such incident here, where I've had to call Rooter Town and have them come to the rescue. They've always been easy to make an appointment with, on time, and professional. This last time was no saving the toilet or Megatron, but the toilet was replaced quickly and efficiently. I had some concerns about the replacement toilet, and emailed the company's customer service address. The reason for my 5 star rating is because I received a call from Jessie within an hour of sending the email. He listened to my concerns and sent Dave, the plumber, right out to assess and fix any issues. It's nice to do business with a company who stands behind their work and took care of the problem quickly, and with a pleasant attitude. read more

Garbage disposal kitchen sink clog! Done! We overloaded the disposer and ended up with a clog about 40' down. Got a first thing in the morning appointment and the tech - Bruce showed up at the earliest part of the appointment window. We also received a call from the shop with a 20 minute ETA. Bruce was sharp looking with shoe covers, equipment wheel covers, and work mat - nice! He got right to work and was finished within 20 minutes. Can't beat $95 for that. He asked if we were having other issues at all(which we weren't) and inquired about the age of the house. He said that over time, grease and other buildups can cause issues and if we see more clogs more often we might consider a "jetting" service. He did not press to have it done and just proposed it as a suggestion. We'll use them again! read more

Great experience! We called for a plugged sewage line (toilet wouldn't flush)... and a few hours later, a technician name "Coleman" was on his way! (Even on a Sunday night). He arrived on time and was extremely professional. The procedure took under and hour, as promised, and the charge was exactly what they quoted on the phone. Coleman explained the process and cleaned as he left. This service was recommended to us by our plumber that doesn't do sewage-line work. This company is coming out again tomorrow to do a "camera inspection", but so far- our pipes have been cleared and we are extremely happy!!! read more

Not only did they give me a same-day booking, our plumber Dave was able to come 2 hours earlier than expected. (In a house with 6 people and no working toilets, 2 hours early was phenomenal.) He got everything sorted out quickly and professionally. Great service from Dave and a great experience overall with this company. They never even made 1 attempt to run snake from inside the house. I was working from home and not giving ripoffs enough attention. First invoice even confirms that! These guys lined my clay pipe sewer line from the main to the cast iron inside my house four years ago when it had be infiltrated by tree roots and the sections had separated. Just had them back to do preventative maintenance on my sewer lines inside and outside the house. Dave, the technician, was knowledgeable and thorough; he competed all the work within 30 minutes. A year ago, Rooter Town installed new sewer for us, using new technology, inserting a sleeve into our old clay sewer pipe. They did a great job, and this was not an easy project, with a home that is almost 100 years old! A couple of weeks ago, we had them out to scope and service the sewer line for our buyers, since we're selling the home. A leak was noticed on the clean out pipe after the tech left they came back out a fixed at no cost and Dave the tech was very apologetic and understanding of our situation. We were referred to Rooter Town by our regular HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical service provider for a kitchen drain backup. They answered the phone quickly and courteously, and had a drain tech out to our home within 90 minutes. Dave was timely and effective in his work. He showed up on time, wore a mask, and did a thorough job. He was very helpful with us, letting us know that it had been harder than it should have been and that we should tighten up the interval between cleanings.
