DETAILS HERE IF YOU WANT A QUICK READ: I would like to start out first by saying that no one is happy about having work done to their septic tank but this is the one time that I was. I called them out to just pump my tank so I could get some relief again by a backed up tank. I had them out the year before with a technician Richie that was awesome and I was just having a pump then too knowing that any work to septic is generally very pricey. Richie pumped me out for the fee as quoted which was never my experience in the past as I have been charged almost $700 by a Pink company for the same work. Hoping Richie would come out again it was an off day so I told them any would do. They sent me Jon. First in Jon popped the tank and said "Wow, this problem will continue with these issues here" so I explained my situation with finances and how having it pumped as needed is the best I can hope for until I save up. He told me he could pump me out and gave me multiple tips and advice to reduce the impact I was having on my system until I could get it fixed. I had done my research and spoke with many on what needed to be done, watched videos, and read articles so I felt on top of my game to ask questions about the issues I having. Jon answered all my questions with answers I had already come across as well as any and everything else I didn't know so I was completely informed. We spoke and he told me he could give me a price on installing a new baffle, being I had the old 1980s broken concrete one, and I would look at getting the work done further down the road because I just don't have piles of cash lying around so was just not interested currently. He covered everything up and handed me the paperwork to sign and I saw the estimate. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SCHEDULE CAUSE HOLY CRAP THAT'S A FRACTION OF 3 OTHER PLUMBERS!!! He said I can do it right now if you want. After having me pumped and already closed back up he opened everything back up and got to work. He not only removed the old and installed a new baffle system but they were to pump the drain field to remove all solids (I missed this part), and they ran a jet through my line to clean it all out. When I came out during the jetting Jon walked me along my line and explained some things to how he believed the system ran, ways to keep it in shape, and options for future work should I ever want someone else to do it or to manage it myself. THE WORK HE DID INCLUDED THE PUMPING CHARGE!!! By their lowest competitor they were $600 cheaper and that didn't include their pumping fee which was way more so really I saved $1000! The thing is I was trying to get in touch with that other guy for 2 days to do the work but he wouldn't ever respond after my initial consult. I had to look back at my records to see who pumped me last time since I had such a good experience that time and boy I am glad I did. Do not hesitate and call this company and have them come out. The girls in the office will always put a smile on your face, Richie was so memorable I had to find the company again, and Jon was a knowledgeable hardworking perfectionist that made my week. And yes that is a gas line they never touched digging the lid up 3 times, 1 extra time was for me to take pictures. WAY TO GO ROOTER PLUS, I WILL SEND ANY BUSINESS I CAN YOUR WAY!! When our toilet started to bubble very violently recently while doing laundry or taking showers, I decided I could no longer put off dealing with the plumbing or septic problem we obviously had. So I called Rooter Plus. I have used the company numerous times in recent years -- the result of living in a 1970 house with 46-year-old pipes and septic system which were at the end of their service. On Sunday afternoon Ray and his co-worker arrived (I greatly appreciate them being available on Sundays) and quickly began to diagnose the problem, explaining that the bubbles in our toilet were caused by water not being able to drain. We had had a new drain field put in several years ago so Ray said the problem had to lie in the pipe leading from the house to the tank. He told me the job would be $3,500. Naturally I hate to spend that kind of money but this septic problem was a huge worry for me and I wanted it solved. With four people living in our house, including two teenage daughters, we do tons of laundry and showers. So I said let's do it. Ray quickly got his digger off the truck and in a short time had the tank uncovered and the pipe exposed. While most of the pipe was cast iron, the final couple of feet into the tank was a concrete pipe, and it was broken and clogged. When they unclogged it, septic water poured out. It was incredible. Mystery solved. Long story short, after a couple of hours of very hard work by Ray and his co-worker, they had pumped our tank and cleaned it, replaced the pipe leading to the tank from the house, and put everything back together. They had all the supplies and equipment needed for the job on hand in their truck. By 3:30 that afternoon they were on their way home to a well-deserved rest and I was able to enjoy the rest of my Sunday afternoon. Now, let me say that I have seen online some other reviews of Rooter Plus that were not flattering. I would like to state for the record that my experiences have always been very positive and I think they are terrific (and no, I received no compensation or discount or anything else to say this). They've done a ton of work for us, replacing our entire 46-year-old septic system. In the past five or so years I have spent a total of well north of $15,000 with Rooter Plus (our septic drain field replacement being the bulk of that). When you call, they answer the phone. If they tell you they're coming, they will show up as scheduled. The guys who work for Rooter Plus are always professional, polite, friendly and just really nice people who put you at ease that they will find your issue and fix it. read more

I would like to take this opportunity to commend RooterPLus and their plumber Cole for a job well done at our house. On Saturday morning, our toilet on the main floor near the guest bedroom started leaking a lot of water on the bathroom floor and down into the unfinished basement a floor below. We initially called two other plumbers and left a message with one and the other did not service our area. Our third call was to RooterPLus. We immediately talked to a customer service representative who said she would call back as soon as she determined who could get there the quickest. She called back a few minutes later and said Cole would be there within one hour. Exactly one hour later, a very nice young man knocked on our door. Upon arrival and slipping on shoe covers, Cole immediately went to our bathroom and started a process to diagnose the problem. Once it was identified, he explained the issue to us in layman terms, and provided a written estimate on the cost of the two options, dependent upon the severity of the problem once he dismantled the toilet. The final result was a bad flange seal under the toilet which he replaced. All through the process he explained what he was doing. He showed us the damaged part before removing it and repaired the toilet. We also asked him to make a few other minor plumbing repairs while he was here. We would like to thank RooterPlus for their prompt attention to our plumbing problem and also sending out Cole. Cole was skilled, reliable, professional, and very polite. In summary, RooterPlus will now be our "go to" plumbers for future needs. We would highly recommend RooterPlus to our family, friends, and neighbors. read more

We discovered RooterPlus through a sales presentation they made at my wife's real estate firm. In a nutshell, they were asking the realtors to use and refer them when plumbing issues came up. Not long after that we had a plumbing issue come up at our house in the form of a clogged toilet. We did everything we knew to do before resigning ourselves to calling a plumber and decided to give RooterPlus a try. The results were a mixed bag. First, we had a time scheduled between 8A and 12N. Nobody showed up and nobody called. Not hearing from them, we called and were told someone would be out by 5P. I might add too that we called the sales rep who made the presentation where my wife works and were quoted a discounted price for the work. When no one showed up at 5P, we called again and around 6:30 the plumber showed up. He'd come from Marietta and had been in traffic, but no one told us that. He quoted a price $100 higher than the one we had been quoted earlier. We told him what we had already been quoted, and at that point the price went down. When we told him that we had twice been inconvenienced, the price went down again. He then unclogged the toilet, which has worked fine ever since. David Mospanyuk is the plumber who came to our house. He impressed me as a super young man who wore his uniform well and respected our property. I was very happy with the service, the followup, and the technician from RooterPLUS. I will admit I was a bit aprehensive about using them after seeing the Yelp reviews, but all turned out quite well. Like others, I scheduled them same day for septic pumping, and ended up spending just over $2k. However, I really needed it. Previous companies had not properly cleaned out our septic tank over the past 30 years, which was now deep in solids and required some serious cleanout. I also did not have a proper cleanout port so we needed to remove a 5' x 3' lid and replace it with a lid that had a proper cleanout port for future work. The tank is close to the house on the front of our home in a large landscaped bed, and also has a low stone wall running along one edge of the tank. Our technician, David, was here literally all day., at least 6 hours He was very nice and professional, and he worked very hard to keep the disturbance to plants, the wall and the landscaping to a minimum. I was super impressed with him and his dedication to doing an excellent job. Scheduling and followup were great. Immediately after the work was complete I received emails with documents, receipts, and 12 pictures of our property and of the work as it progressed. Very thorough. Based on my experience, I would not hesitate to recommed the Cumming office of RooterPLUS, and especially David, to anyone. read more

So this is our anniversary - 7 years of wonderful marriage. We laughed about getting a clogged drain and called rooterplus. WOW WHAT A MISTAKE. An incompetent untrained plumber arrives not in any uniform but in sweats - this made me suspect to begin with and i shld have asked him to leave right then. Next, he spends 15 minutes kind of hanging around looking at sink (mind u this was in the end a simple clog). Has me sign for a $250 unclogging charge (which i did just cause he was here already). I proceed to tell my wife I dont think guy knows what he is doing and then THE FLOODGATES OPEN! he released the pipes under the clogged sink and water rush led thru floor and out of basement ceiling!! Now water damage company here, the playroom for kids unusable for 4 days and we have 5 kids under 6 arriving Monday! Carpet pad torn up, holes in playroom ceiling in basement, fans and dehumidifiers going and loud for next 3-4 days! Most likely room cant be patched up before Christmas and anniversary day today ruined. The worst part is I have done so much business w these guys that i expected so much more - they offered no compensation for family, for frustration, for ruining our special day, for impacting our week with family! Sure they are doing the minimum of fixing what they 'broke' but what about us being inconvenienced because of their lack of competence... read more

CONSUMER ALERT!!!!! The technician who came out was very polite and personable, so no complaints there. However, the service itself was extremely misleading. I called based on their advertised $150 septic pump-out for up to 1,000 gallons. Once on-site, I was told that because my tank was full, they could not perform the pump-out at that price. That doesn't make much sense--if a septic tank isn't full, why would you need it pumped? Instead, I was quoted $4,300 for a full system drain with a chemical treatment that was described as drying out the entire tank. I was also told that replacing the system could range anywhere from $25,000 to $45,000. After this, I contacted three other companies, and all of them confirmed that it is not true that a full tank cannot be pumped. I was also informed that standard pump-outs typically cost more because of disposal fees, which explains why the advertised $150 price is unrealistic. It felt like the low advertised price was simply a way to get in the door and then upsell significantly more expensive and unnecessary services. I would strongly recommend getting multiple opinions and considering a smaller, local company. The other quotes I received were around $500 for a standard pump-out, with no pressure to commit to costly treatments that may not be necessary or even recommended. read more

Been in our new house for about 10 months now and noticed soggy ground where I thought the drain field would be so I decided to get my septic system pumped. Called Rooter Plus and they sent out a team within a few hours. Glad I called. When Ray and his partner started digging up the septic system there was one thing wrong after another. First, the pump motor wasn't working. This was because the electrical plug/box was fried. Next the check valve piping going to the drain field was cracked. Both of my tanks were filled to the brim with you know what. Finally, when Ray dug up the distribution field box there was a five foot long root ball that was growing down the pipe not blocking the flow of water. Ray was very professional and kept me informed of everything during the entire process. The poor guy even got doused with rotten water when the water from the distribution field started flowing backwards through the cracked pipe. The only reason the company did not get a five star is the standard rate pricing for some of the work seemed a little high. That being said I am still glad I called them instead of a fly by night company that would have only pumped my system and not taken the time to find and repair all of the things that were wrong with my septic system. read more

I've never used Roto Rooter, but I have to say as skeptical as I might have been, I am completely happy with the results. Vince took time to answer questions, seemed to know what he was talking about and was patient when I didn't quite get it. When I called Roto Rooter, I requested someone come out the following Friday (this was on a Friday). They suggested they could get someone out that afternoon, and they DID. Vince showed up and offered us the first spot on the schedule the next day and was there before 9am. He had our new water heater plumbed in and filled up before we knew it, almost. He did a good professional job. I feel he took as much pride in his work as I do in mine. I'd be happy to have him back out to do anything else anytime I need it done. Roto Rooter obviously cares about customer service, did a great job communicating and coordinating, and made what could have been a painful experience very easy. Price was competitive considering I didn't have to install anything. As with bringing in a professional in anything, you limit your choices on what products you decide to install, but I'm good with where Rooter put us. read more

Anthony B. is superb! We had a family event at the clubhouse in my subdivision, and for whatever reason the water was not running. No toilet, no sinks, etc. For this to be a bday party with dozens of kids, you can understand how much of a disaster this was going to be. Anthony came out and walked through every possible issue but could not determine why the water was off. I was expecting him to say "well, I'll have to get back to the office and get someone else out here", but he did not. He searched and searched, and researched. He even pulled out a few tools and instruments and attempted to follow the water line from the main county line. A few hours later, after plenty of time and research, he was able to single out the issue, which was a main pressure valve on the water heater. Again, I imagined he would say "Well ill have to get the parts and come another day and fix it".. but he decidedly went to multiple home depot's and got all of the parts and came back and fixed it and checked that everything was running well. 1st and foremost septic problems are never fun, but yesterday I came home and discovered that my yard smelled terrible and I noticed some bubbling occurring thru all the rain. We had our septic system cleaned years back and could not remember whom we had used-so we began calling around to get some quotes and to our surprise we received many recordings, rather than live people. I can't express how impressed and happy I was with the Rooter Plus plumbing technician, Paul Bjork, that came to our home to fix our plumbing issues! We have never dealt with a plumbing issue before and I was so nervous setting up the appointment, hoping I picked the right company...well I definitely did! Paul was amazing. We were having issues with the toilets not flushing (after someone flushed a Clorox cleaning head down the toilet). Paul came and took a look and let me know the different options we had depending on where the clog was, then he gave me the pricing on the options, which was very reasonable! He wanted me to know that the price would not go up from what he quoted me, before he even started the work. After unclogging the toilet Paul made sure that the main line was okay and even gave my husband and I a lesson on how to plunge a toilet before leaving (LOL! push down slowly and pull up fast!). Had an awesome experience with this company and with Will. I'm a real estate agent representing a client who was selling her house and she needed to have her septic pumped per contract. She was out of town so I agreed to meet w/RooterPLUS! They called me before our scheduled appt and arrived literally the same time as me. The operator had let me know in the morning that there may be some delays because there were some emergency situations which had to take priority over my appt, however there were NO DELAYS! Will and his colleague showed up and were extremely professional and honest about what it would take to get the job done. While attempting to unclog the kitchen drain at my office I found the drain pipes to be rusted through and falling apart in many places. I really do not like having to deal with hiring outside professionals to do work at the office, but I did not have the time or want to complete the work myself so I contacted RooterPlus!. I can honestly say that everything, beginning with the lady I spoke with while scheduling the appointment, was a quick and hassle free experience. Richard was assigned to my call and arrived very quickly. As soon as I showed him what the problem was he knew exactly what to do fix it. He got to work replacing the pipes and also helped to unclog the original problem. Richard was very professional and even offered some tips to help keep this kinda thing from happening in the future. Jimbo and John were great representatives...explained the whole system and identified some areas of concern for future fixes not in need of immediate correctijon (#2 good point).. Diagnosed an additional issue wi root growth in the splash box, and explained what would be needed to correct vs replace.. (#3) Also filter info and tank cover options were given.. Pump and alarm recommendations without pressure to do right now.. (#4).. Left area as they found it, and even gave me info on finding accurate mapping of drain field on county website.. Couldn't have asked for a more educational and professional encounter.. Only reason I didn't give a 5 is the initial office discussion gave me pricing, but did not explain additional cost for use of extra hoses due to distance from street.. My experience with Rooter Plus was very positive. I needed my 1500 gallon tank pumped, but I am well aware of the nefarious dealings like upselling, hidden fees and non-performance of the task (not completely pumping the tanks) that septic companies are notorious for. David O'Connor was the tech and he is one of the good guys. He arrived on time and he was very friendly and professional, and he gave me a lot of information on how to extend the life of the tank. He explained everything that he would be doing and went over my options. After he was finished, he showed me that the tank was completely empty, the filter was cleaned and he took pictures of it for their records. In the end, the price was great and the job was done well and he was the reason for it being a positive experience. Today, I had an emergency water leak problem that needed fixing immediately. Rooter Plus returned my call and sent one of his best men out to do the job. My water leak and piping repair were completed by Patrick Lambert. Mr. Lambert customer service and work ethics were very professional. He explained the issue with the water leak, responded to my concerns, and went right to work to fix the problem. I was very please with Mr. Lambert service, he was very prompt in completing the job and quickly resolved a major water leak. The piping repair was performed timely and efficiently. Whenever you have a maintenance or repair issue, it is unsettling, but that feeling multiplies into panic on the weekend when you have a baby at home and no hot water! No hot water for baby's bath, cleaning bottles and pump parts, washing hands after diapers and more. No fun. Richard came out within an hour of the call. He very quickly diagnosed the problem as a shot water heater. Started the drain, drove to get a new water heater, came back and replaced it. Because the WH is on gas, it was a more complicated process than electric. This man spent hours and hours of his Saturday making sure we would quickly and safely have access to hot water. He left the area looking better than he found it, and the whole time, he was incredibly professional and courteous. I hope I don't require his services again! Sales manager Russell was extremely helpful, understanding, and cooperative with our situation. He worked with us, not only to fix our septic tank problem but provided the best possible price. Service technician's Jon, Chris, and Pete were extremely professional and reliable. Pete took extra steps to insure that our issue with a nasty backed up sewer was taken care of immediately. After investigating the problem, we actually found out that we were not on sewer and actually had a septic tank. At that time, Jon was called in and responded like a flash. Offering the necessary recommendations to restore our septic to an acceptable working level. Only thing left is to confront the City we live in regarding the 11 1/2 years of sewer bills we've been paying for, only to be on a septic. But Rooter Plus is a 10 star in my book. read more
