I don't mind suffering for a few miles on a trail knowing that a warm cortado is waiting for me at the end. Rooster Moon Coffeehouse feels a bit cramped, but their cortado and service was good. The ambiance was amazing! Tropical decor and bright colors were welcoming. My coconut iced latte was very refreshing.

Love, love, love this place. The coffee is really good and the food excellent. Located in the Longmeadow shopping center. It can be not so easy to find but once you do find it, you'll keep going back. Located inside what used to be a bank, they actually use the vault as a place to sit and sip your coffee and nosh your goods. Highly recommended and they deserve every star. read more

We were in Hagerstown on a Sunday looking for breakfast. There weren't a lot of places open at that time. There was one other local place open, but it was swamped. So we went here! This place has such great character. I think it was an old bank. Plus, their breakfast sandwiches were filling and the pumpkin spice latte had was delish. read more

While I enjoyed my Coconut Cream latte, I was really looking for an early lunch. The $5 oatmeal was actually a Quaker Real Medleys cup, and pancake sausage on a stick seemed to come from a frozen pack and microwaved- it was overcooked and the breading was rock hard. The chicken Caesar wrap was also dry. Looking for a good cup of coffee? Definitely worth it. Anything else? Save your money and find another place to eat. read more

A very cool spot that I wouldn't have found on my own. I think their location is tucked away at the top of Hagerstown, and think they would do better in downtown. I loved the atmosphere and the local shop component. Lots of cool pieces of art and teas and very cute stuff. I loved the Latte! I got one of the holiday lattes, and it was a very balanced latte. We got a breakfast burrito and sausage egg and cheese on a croissant, and they were all great. I can't wait to come back. read more

Good coffee, but food takes a while and is pretty overpriced. Also there's a lot of flies and it seems like management is a little rough.

Definitely recommend this coffee shop. Ample parking and the various kinds of coffees are excellent. Staff is very friendly.

My drink doesn't taste as good as I normally get and today I get this messy, dripping down my legs in the drive through order. They wasn't busy inside at all when I was there around 1pm but I still have to wait 6mins for the drink. read more

Don't be fooled by the location of this little coffee shop because it is tucked into a shopping plaza - this place is adorable. The tables all have the logo of the coffee shop on them and the decor inside is just too cute - I am guessing this was an old bank because there is a room with a vaulted door which allows for a small group to meet maybe to work on a project or just to have a semi-intimate location to chat. Along with the adorable decor are tons of fantastic drinks to choose from - I opted for the Chai Shake which was Chai tea and ice cream - hello, yum! The only downside was that they didn't ask me if I wanted whipped cream or not and the default is whipped cream and I am not a fan but overall great service. They also have tons of baked goods and packaged items which are nutritious and some locally made so this really is a great establishment that cares about its community and the global economy. read more

I don't usually write reviews... but from my experience, I wanted to save others the time and money. I walked in, thinking it had a cute vibe, but was immediately greated with the heat. I don't think they have air conditioning... or it is just broken. I believe, due to this warmer enviroment, there were a lot of flies...this was a little disgusting, but what really got me was when I saw a roach crawling on the wall! Either way, the service was mid at best. Danny, I think his name was, did not seem happy to take my order. He was just trying to get everything done as quickly as possible, and in doing so messed up my order. I just had so many people recommend this place to me, but I was disappointed, to say the least. read more

Stopped by here this AM on our way out of town-- very tasty coffee! Honestly, people who complain how long the drinks take, all the good (ie not Starbucks!) cafes in the world take this long. Get a grip. The coffee here is excellent, the staff was helpful (again, people who complained about not being helped... you have to ask for things in life sometimes!), and the breakfast food hit the spot for two road warriors headed north. Let's see... I've been a patron since 2004, maybe 2005. How do I like Rooster Moon? Well, besides some of the people who work there being some of the best folks I know, I go there with reality in mind. If you expect to have your custom drink to be ready in under 4 minutes or less, you should probably go to McDonalds. (Acccckk!!) If you have expectations of getting a very, very good coffee or coffee drink, then you're probably aware of how meticulous you need to be to pull a good shot (or four) and make said drink palatable. The very nature of espresso is not all that consistent. It takes a barista who knows precisely what they are doing to make a good pull. So how do I like Rooster Moon? Did I mention I've been going there for nigh on 15 years? Advice for folks who become irritated if they are not immediately pounced upon by staff for their order. Calmly approach the ordering spot, clear your throat slightly, and assertively but gently ask to be helped. In all honesty, it's much better than storming out all pissed off that your importance may have not been properly addressed. How do I know this? Life experience my friends, that's all I know. *ok, so why not 5 stars? EVERYBODY has room to improve. You'd pretty much have to be Jesus pulling shots for a 5 star. read more

We were in Hagerstown and were excited to see such a highly rated coffee shop. The place was packed but not that packed. It took about twenty minutes for us to get our cappuccino and caramel latte after waiting ten minutes in line which is kind of ridiculous. My sister couldn't drink her cappuccino it tasted burnt. My latte had the same burnt gross taste but it was offset by a bunch of sugary caramel. I drank about half of it for the caffeine effect and then tossed it. We didn't feel like complaining or waiting another 20 mins for a replacement. read more

Tucked away discretely inside a small strip mall, this cozy place serves up Lattes, frappes, iced coffee, espresso, shakes, Teas (Hot and Iced), and Italian Sodas in just about every imaginable flavor, breakfast and sandwich options, unique snacks and more. They also have cool merch (shirts, flavored syrups, keychains, etc.) and a very pleasant surprise is an assortment of beautiful hand painted, authentic polish pottery. We have been going to Rooster Moon for years and we love it--but lately I've been having trouble with my coffee order. For serious health reasons I can't have caffeine, which sucks because I love coffee. Luckily most shops offer at least a few decaf options. BUT at Rooster Moon, there have been multiple instances where I have asked for decaf and definitely gotten regular, based on how crazy my blood pressure was and how jittery I felt after drinking it. As a person who hasn't really had caffeine in years I know pretty quickly if I've been given the wrong thing. Yesterday it happened again. If management is reading this, PLEASE PLEASE make sure folks are making decaf when it is requested. It truly is a health issue for many people. If you need decaf, make sure you emphasize it when you place your order. read more

Just when you thought this place couldn't get any worse .... I used to get breakfast here 4 times a week. Now I might go once a year and today I was the last time ever for me. They advertise breakfast sandwiches served on a jumbo sized English muffin or a jumbo sized bagel and then they want to put one tiny little piece of premade microwaved egg on it like they're doing you a favor. I also ordered a Matcha latte which I love from any other coffee shop, but they drink I was served today was literally the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. In addition it's way overpriced and they should be sued for false advertising because the prices on their website are apparently not correct. I guess it takes a whole lot of effort to put out correct pricing for your customers. NEVER EVER AGAIN. My order came to $12 and that was without a tip that they act like you owe them. Could've gotten better food at McDonald's. They clearly don't care about their customers at all and only care about money. read more

I love the baristas that work here, and the food is decent and probably one of my favorite coffee shops to go to in Hagerstown since I like support local. The downsize though, the pricing is outrageous...and it makes me not want to leave a tip to your baristas when they work hard and deserve tips. $17 for a latte and a breakfast wrap... you can get cheaper coffee in New York. read more

Very nice atmosphere. Good coffee. My wife and I had breakfast sandwiches. She had the bagel with egg and cheese and I had the croissant with sausage, egg and cheese. The eggs were light and fluffy. If you're looking for a good local coffee joint that's far better than Starbucks I highly recommend Rooster Moon Coffeehouse. They have a ton of different choices for flavored lattes (hot or iced). I ordered the Milky Way hot latte, it was good but the flavors didn't blow me away. My husband ordered a Milky Way milkshake. It was better than my coffee. I will definitely stop here again next time I'm in the area. FYI, if you're having trouble finding the place it sets back off the road in a strip mall/shopping center. The sign you can see from the road only says "coffee", not the name of the place. read more

We took my mother there for lunch yesterday (it was a good "escape" from D.C. during the power outage & 104-degree heat) and loved it. It's in what was formerly a bank, and the vault has a table for 4 which can be reserved for meetings (it's really cute). The interior is quite attractive, with several decorative tables for 4 and a long table along the entire (ceiling-to-floor) front window. There are also several outdoor tables, if you enjoy dying of heat prostration or if the weather is more amenable. There are several large/colorful framed pieces of art on the walls, plus lots of handmade pottery mugs for sale. I'd seen their *red* travel mug online and "had" to have it, so I called four days in advance and a nice young guy put one aside for me. My husband & I started with butternut squash soup (very refreshing). My mother & I each had the vegetarian wrap (really tasty). My husband had the crab melt sandwich. We had a choice of either a sliced apple, sliced carrots or chips. My husband had an iced latte, I had the house blend and my mother had decaf. The coffee was pretty good. The people working there were exceptionally pleasant, and we even had a nice conversation with someone sitting at the next table. The owner's son was there and I spoke to him right before leaving; he's a really nice guy. read more
