We ordered two breakfast sandwiches with sausage, egg and cheese, two bread bowls, one with sausage gravy and the other with egg, bacon, cheese and green peppers, and scrambled eggs, which came with toast. A green tea and a dirty chai latte. It was all super yummy!! Only change I would have made would have been a bit of a cheese sauce to help bind the eggs to the bread bowl. The staff were all so, so kind and checked in on us regularly The food came on little, cafeteria plates, cutlery in a little brown paper package with a plastic table covering that lets them set the holiday tone by putting a heart shaped tablecloth underneath just fit. It was our first visit there. We have passed this place several times before and decided to walk over a get a coffee. Then place offered much more than I thought. My husband just ordered espresso, but I got the salted caramel latte and a reindeer cupcake. The latte was probably the best I have had from anywhere. I decided to save the cupcake for the next day. I thought maybe I was just going to have a bite. I was thinking a day later, that cupcake would surely be dry. I ate the entire thing. It was so good. I'm definitely going back to this place. Lighthouse latte is a GEM in Berkeley Springs! We stopped here for a quick breakfast and lattes while on a road trip. Their menu is extensive and offers everything from omelettes to soups to homemade pastries and fudge. We had the chicken salad and the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. Both were delicious! The ladies in here are so incredibly sweet - I tried two of their Homemade Donuts, which are made-to-order and served hot. I had the Apple Donut and the Vanilla Glazed Donut topped with Espresso. The Apple Donut was absolutely divine - it was small, and it was topped with sliced apples in a warm apple butter sauce - yum yum! The one topped with espresso was also pretty good, and those who are coffee lovers would find this delicious. I also tried their Hot Apple Cider, and this was spiced wonderfully and it really warmed me up; a great complement to the donuts. Their sweet tea was also pretty refreshing, not being too sweet; I would probably ask for little ice next time, though. They also had some chocolates, handmade pies, and other specialty beverages available. Friendly staff. The sliced chai frappe is memorable. The seating is made of inexpensive round tables, about four to five of them. The amount of drinks, desserts, and truffles to choose from is massive! A worthy list we look forward to exploring when we return next year. Arrived with someone else on what looked like a slow day for them. Other person orders, then I proceed to give my order to the lady behind the counter, who nods, seemingly in acknowledgment. A few minutes later person 2 gets their order and the very same lady asks if I decided I wanted something. Uhhh, what? So I give my order again. She slithers into the back room to hold a conference with the lady back there . . . who emerges a while later and asks point blank if I know what [drink I ordered] is. No "Hello". No attempt at looking friendly. . . . After sitting through her spiel about the drink she asks if that's what I want. So I confirmed my order (twice more than I was hoping to have to that day), and she went back and started making it. At this point I knew this was a place I'd visited one too many times already. My family and I visited this place 3 days in a row while vacationing in the Cacapon area (July 2022). We loved the coffee, desserts, fried jalapeño bologna sandwich and outstanding, small town service! Janet, Kathy and company were awesome; very friendly and hospitable folks! Great coffee, boba, and sandwiches! We visited Lighthouse Latte three times during our stay in Berkeley Springs--what a find! On our first stop, we got boba. So tasty, and one of the largest selection of flavors. On our second stop, we ordered 2 BLTs, 2 grilled cheeses, and 4 coffees. For the grilled cheese, there are 5 kinds of bread to choose from and at least 20 cheeses. Our lattes (hot and iced) were delish. Many flavors to choose from, plus alternative milks. Service was friendly and fast. The owner is Christian, so it was great to hear AirOne on the radio and see bibles, scripture, and tracts in the shop. Would definitely stop here again! read more

This place is right beside an auto repair garage who's picky about their few spaces in front. So do yourselves a favor and park in front of the entrance with the ramp opening off to your right. While sitting in the window at Mi Ranchito (not worth writing a review for) I saw the sign in Lighthouse Latte's window about having hot donuts, boy did my heart flutter in anticipation! I thought for sure I would go there for breakfast Sunday morning..alas it was closed. No worries, there was one more day in town, and I'm glad we did!!! We walked in and an Air curtain went off. There were display cases of bon bons, fudge, cookies, macaroons, refrigerators with pies and cold drinks. I was there for the doughnuts.. so donuts we shall have.. there were 6 flavors: 3 ganaches of Peanut Butter, Vanilla, and Chocolate, or you could have it with cinnamon sugar, powered sugar, or plain. We had one of each :) 1/2 was about $4 or .75 each. They were mini cake donuts and they were delicious!!! The industrial strength machinery they had in there for the donuts and the espressos were interesting to watch. There were a few bar stools, but aside from that I don't recall too much space to linger and enjoy. The pies looked wonderful though. The owner was there speaking to us, a very friendly woman who explained the doughnuts were a recent expansion to the candies and baked goods they already offered. It was something she's been wanting to do for a long time and we're glad she did. She'd asked us if we liked the doughnuts and if we'd recommend them. ABSOLUTELY!!! The inside is small and crammed, not so friendly for little ones with gear. The truffles were ok but I wasn't overall impressed. We stopped in Lighthouse after reading great reviews on Yelp and Trip Advisor. The Mister and I split two made to order donuts and a latte while grabbing some fudge to go. The latte was really good. It was the right temperature and the milk was very foamy. It was ready to drink right away, and super hot lattes are one of my biggest pet peeves. The donuts are all made to order. It's sort of a schtick, but it works. They are small and tasty, but they're just sort of average for fresh donuts. (But yes, fresh donuts are aaaaahmazing compared to not-fresh donuts.) The fudge was solid. I've had better, but it scratched the itch. The people who run this place are very into Jesus. They're not in-your-face about it, but the radio might offend someone of, um, less Christian/conservative tastes. They weren't proselytizing, so it didn't bother me. Really cute shop! Nice selection of candies and treats. The lady behind the counter was very friendly, and made me a great chocolate peanut butter iced latte, based on Reese's pieces. Loooooove it! Also tried a lavender brownie- couldn't resist! It was a little too lavender for me personally but the brownie itself was fudgy and delicious- would definitely try another flavor... Orange maybe??? This place rocks, hubby and I are visiting for vacation and just stop in to see the sights this place took me back on my childhood days in Brooklyn NY. Everything is so cute and clean and the Lady behind the counter was so nice. I ordered a sugar free caramel latte and let me tell you as a person who visits Starbucks on a regular this was the best Latte I have had in a long time and I was able to get it in a nice to go cup that kept my foam nice and fluffy just like I like it. It took all my will power to pass up the home made pie and cupcakes and muffins homemade fudge . Unlike many other reviewers, we had lunch. A delicious, healthy lunch of homemade soup & salad. Homemade cherry/berry pie was outstanding. Selected an assortment of chocolate truffles and a homemade brownie to go, and they are all delicious. As we are dessert & chocolate experts, we appreciated that nothing was cloyingly sweet, unlike the unfortunate trend in the American palate. We were driving home freezing looking for a good coffee to warm up. If you like super strong coffee flavors this is the place for you. If you are a cappuccino fan, like myself, you'll be disappointed. My husband who loves strong coffee said it was even too strong for him, Our cappuccinos ended up in the trash undrinkable. No flavor but massive bitter coffee taste. They were so bitter. Paid over $4 for about 4 oz of drink. Husband bought cookies. They were tasty. Service was EXTREMELY slow. We waited 25 mins. Only one person in line for one coffee. The place was crowded though. Parking is horrible only 3-4 spaces. No where else to park. I had high hopes for this place, as it would be great stopping point for us as we travel through. Very disappointed. read more

You owe it to yourself to go here when in Berkeley Springs. There is nothing like sitting on barstools and watching while the donuts which you have just ordered drop fresh from the hopper and make their way up the conveyer belt on a 90 second journey. They are then immediately hand-dipped into chocolate sauce and placed fresh and warm in front of you. I started with two (along with an excellent double-espresso) and then tried not to act guilty as I ordered another. The ladies who run the place are very pleasant and love to talk about their business. They also have a large selection of candies, cakes and pies as well as the entire gamut of espresso drinks and freshly roasted coffees made in plunger pots. Let's face it; you don't go into an establishment like this looking for a healthy, balanced meal but if you're going to treat yourself to donuts, you may as well make them the best. That's what you'll get here. Hot, fresh, and tasty. They're not overly sweet like some places might serve you. Just one block off the main drag in Berkeley Springs and not hard to find. Closed Sundays and Wednesdays so plan your visit accordingly. You'll be glad you took the small amount of trouble it is to find them. read more
