Lunch v Veggie Wrap
Doreen L.

hats off the service from this morning by the front cashier and coffee 'connoisseur'. Even got a chance to see the "kitchen magician." My child said, the Egg, Bacon and Cheese croissantwich [I coined that] was top of his ever-tasted list! And the pesto mayo sub [for horseradish] was a game changer. Our food was delicious. My veggie wrap was, made clean, diligently, just like the lettuce veggie salad. The girls handled the orders with a calm, patient demeanor, even after my order got "lost-in-translation" and a little messed up. They made up for the faux-pas with gentility and admirable professionalism, even though, I honestly wasn't pleased with the looooong wait. I would say, don't go here if you're in a rush, super hungry, or flyby and don't have time to wait. They are honestly short staffed for how much they have to do between the two or three of them [hence my 4**** rating], and that may frustrate your watch, tummy, schedule. I saw a customer leave without placing an order because he just couldn't wait no more --they were busy and trying to rush to get to everyone waiting! Hopefully, management gives them an extra pair(s) of hands. Still, a MUST try for your clean crafty eating, spacious seating, and inviting environment. You can even pick up store merch for $35-$65 for a tee or sweatshirt! Daily Grind is a gem in the middle of a sea of greasy chain food establishments. Ironically, I found it after running [yes, lit] lit 3 miles to find the 1st Yelp suggested breakfast, which turned out to be just coffee and not pleasant. Then, found DG on second try, moreover .7 miles from my in-town stay for our visit

In town for a week. Found this place for my morning coffee. Ameriacono was excellent. Good atmosphere and staff was very friendly and helpful. I have tried the wraps. Enjoyed them all. God portion and fresh. It has been a good lunch spot to work.

Custer service was amazing they were very nice and helpful. The drinks were ready so quickly and they were great. You can taste the quality of their coffee beans so strong coffee which I love. I got the almond joy and my friend got the snickers. We both liked ours. He wanted his to be sweeter but in my opinion they were a perfect level of sweet as I prefer the flavor to speak more to the coffee. We also got bacon egg and cheese and those were great.

Loved this coffee shop! There were so many options for coffee! Flavors, menu options, etc. there's something for everyone. They have a pretty large breakfast and lunch menu as well. We ordered the bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich and it was truly the best croissant I've ever had. Everyone working was very friendly and patient as I couldn't decide what I wanted lol but overall lovely experience.

Here, you place your order at the counter and then they give you a marker to go and seat yourself. They have a welcoming atmosphere and the staff was super friendly. When I went to order there was no line (surprisingly), so I quickly glanced and the menu and almost everything I saw sounded amazing. I ended up getting the "Daily Grinder Sandwich," and then asking the woman at the counter what she recommended for a drink. It was some kind of peppermint iced latte. I wish I could have remembered exactly what it was because it was absolutely good! Actually, everything was great! Also they had chill music and a chill atmosphere. As I was eating I heard someone order a strawberry milkshake, so that really sold me the idea that there is truly something for everyone at this wonderful restaurant.

Stopped in to get a coffee at a "coffee place" because I ate at a diner the day before and the coffee was.....not coffee. Yelp reviews were telling me to get the egg sandwich on croissant, but they were out of croissants because "the management had to leave on a family emergency and didn't tell anyone to order them." A little TMI, but I got the everything bagel instead and it was tasty. The coffee? Delicious. It was actual coffee and hot and fresh. Yummers. I even bought a bag of their specialty coffee, Morning Buzz, as I was leaving. I felt a buzz to my wallet when it rang up as $18.00. It proclaims on the bag to have "an extra kick of caffeine," so I'll justify this amount if it gives me the jolt I need in the mornings. I did try it at home after vacation and it is very good. It's chocolaty and Christmas spice like. If that's a thing. Think holiday coffee. Yum. (Side note: when traveling with an engineer you get schooled on code violations - this place has one right as you walk in or trip out - cuidado! Watch your step)

Great coffee! Lots of interesting food choices as well. Place looked like a good place for a quiet breakfast.

A nice little coffee shop with excellent breakfast sandwiches. I wanted to get an iced mocha, but they were out of chocolate and out of oat milk. I would comeback.

Really good breakfast sandwiches. My cappuccino was good too. Lots and lots of space and some outlets where you could sit and work.

The Caesar salad was almost entirely spinach and there was no dressing so it turned out to be a bowl of raw spinach.

Third time a simple iced latte, with sugar free vanilla and heavy whipping cream couldn't be made right. A bit frustrating.

Kind of pricey. Great sandwiches and danishes. The coffee and cold tea isn't special. I love the vibe and atmosphere of this place.

Sauce was a little bland and slighlty higher ratio than I prefer, but not too much. I did pick up. They do have several tables with a very Casual atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. I want to start by saying that our server, Lydia, was fantastic. She was attentive, responsive, and…read moregenuinely seemed to care about our experience--especially when the food fell far short. In my view, good service deserves to be recognized regardless of kitchen performance, and Lydia absolutely earned that. This was our second visit. My wife and I enjoy oysters and were excited to find a nearby spot offering fresh half shells--especially with their $1 oyster special on Tuesday nights. On our first visit, we tried the "double D" oysters, which were large, plump, and fresh--exactly what we were hoping for. They were the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the lobster rolls didn't live up to the same standard. At that price point, they should be more substantial, and the bread should be appropriate for the dish. Instead, the roll was dry and the lobster portion was underwhelming. I'd recommend skipping it. That said, Lydia's service that night was excellent. Last night, however, was a different experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by someone who appeared to be the floor manager, who made seating two people without a reservation feel like an inconvenience--despite several open tables and a largely empty outdoor area. Not a great first impression. Once seated, we struck up a conversation with a nearby table and ordered an appetizer, a dozen mixed oysters, and entrees. I went with the flank steak sandwich featured on the menu, while my wife ordered the paella. The iced tea was good, and my wife's cocktail was well-made and generously poured--no complaints there. The salmon bite appetizer, while tasty, felt overpriced for what it was: essentially broiled salmon on lettuce with a maple glaze. When my sandwich arrived, it came with exactly three overcooked, limp asparagus spears--I should've gone for the tots. The sandwich itself was even more underwhelming: a small bun with maybe three ounces of meat, a few mushy onions, and some cheese. My first bite was mostly gristle and fat. I understand flank steak isn't a lean cut, but when served as a sandwich, it should be properly trimmed and sliced. There's no excuse for a $20 sandwich to be that poorly prepared. The overwhelming taste of black pepper didn't help either. I ended up sending it back after one bite. Lydia handled it as professionally as possible, but I declined a replacement. As for the paella, it raised a different issue--how do you end up with overcooked shrimp and undercooked scallops in the same hot dish? It doesn't make much sense. While the flavor was decent overall, the execution didn't justify the price. To summarize: Lydia is excellent--if you go, take care of her. The oysters remain a strong point: fresh, plump, and enjoyable, though they could be more generous with the horseradish and cocktail sauce. The biggest disappointment was the lack of accountability from management. There was no visit from the floor manager (Mr. Inconvenienced from earlier) or anyone from the kitchen to address the issues, leaving Lydia to handle everything herself. The wait staff deserves better. If you're going for oysters, it's worth a visit. If you're planning a full dinner, be prepared for high prices, small portions, and inconsistent execution. The service staff and menu have potential--but the kitchen needs to step up. One final note: if you're charging $36 for a pour of WhistlePig whiskey, it should be served properly--with a clean glass and appropriate ice. Serving it with debris floating in the glass is unacceptable. You lost that customer too. Lydia is the ONLY reason why this is rated above one star. Kitchen needs to step up. Big. You're going to start losing servers.
