About two months ago, I placed my usual order--the 2 for $25 special with two Fiesta Lime Chicken entrees and an appetizer. The Fiesta Lime Chicken is my favorite menu item, and it is normally excellent. Unfortunately, on that visit, both chicken entrees were extremely dry and hard. They were so overcooked that I couldn't eat my dinner at all. The only part of the meal I was able to eat was the appetizer. Although I don't like complaining, I felt I needed to call the restaurant because I had paid for a meal that was inedible. The manager I spoke with was very kind and apologized for the experience. She told me that the next time I ordered, I would receive a credit, which I appreciated. Tonight, about two months later, I called the restaurant to redeem that credit and place another order. I also mentioned that I hoped the meal would be prepared correctly this time, given what had happened previously. The manager told me she would get someone on the line to take my order, but instead I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes without anyone assisting me. This second experience was just as disappointing as the first. While I understand that restaurants can be busy, I feel that, given the circumstances and the promise that had been made to resolve my previous issue, my call should have been handled with greater care.
