I visited River Bottom Roasters recently while looking for a new local coffee shop in the area. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the establishment. The high ceilings gave the shop a light and airy feel. This probably isn't the best place to study or work since the sounds of voices bounce off the walls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I ordered an iced strawberry fields matcha latte and a blueberry muffin. I think I was accidentally given a mixed berry muffin, but it wasn't a big deal. It was still delicious. The matcha, when I received it, was also very good and I really enjoyed it. My one gripe is that it took 25 minutes to receive my drink. While waiting, I noticed that the two individuals handling the food were rock stars. They got orders out very quickly and efficiently, and I had my muffin in less than five minutes. I also noticed the number of other patrons waiting for long periods of time. People who placed orders after I did received their coffee drinks, so I was confused. When my name was finally called, I noticed that three matcha drinks were ready at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the barista making the numerous matcha orders at the same time, but the 25-minute wait seemed quite excessive. There was a steady stream of customers, so it was busy, but not insanely busy. Again, I enjoyed everything about River Bottom Roasters except for the long wait for drinks. read more

Friendly service, great bagels and tasty coffee. They were also dog friendly which is always a plus for me! I was disappointed that they offered my coffee with "cream" but served it with milk! When I inquired, they said we don't have cream. A coffee shop without cream or half and half as an option? Boo! Also, my coffee was lukewarm warm at best. :( Finally, their system for serving your order could use an upgrade; after ordering they call your name, but the high ceilings and industrial ambience makes it hard to hear when you're called. Not a big deal, but you have to really listen as another patron almost took my order even though my name was clearly marked on the cup! read more

Such a cute place!! We loved the decor. Caramel iced latte and iced americano were both delicious, some of the best we've had. Bummed about some of the bagels being out of stock; the display case was confusing as the items on display are apparently only for display and not reflective of what is available at that moment; but still, we enjoyed our experience. to start, this space is great. it's way bigger than it looks from the outside. the decorations are super cute and i love the vibe. we were instantly greeted and we took some time to look over the menu. i ordered a plain iced latte to get a feel for the espresso, and we ordered some lunch. the item we ordered was out of stock after the fact, but the owner came over and let us know and we were able to find something else we wanted. we appreciated that communication! the coffee was tasty and reasonably priced. i love how they source their dairy locally. food was delicious!! made to order and fresh. hopefully we can come back in the future! read more

Stopped in on our drive back to GA. First customers in the door, early and ready for coffee to start the day! WOW!!! This place did not disappoint. I love a shaken expresso. When I realized they did a peppermint/mocha in a shaken expresso. I was excited. Let me just say- that's the BEST shaken expresso I have ever had! It was Christmas in a cup! Only downfall is I live to far away to be a daily customer! read more

Coffee Shop No. 420 River Bottom Roasters Williamsport, MD September 25, 2024 There are so many remarkable little towns sprawled across the United States and because of interstates travelers often miss these gems. I am always grateful when I find local coffee shops while I am on a road trip; especially ones that are unique and have a great sense of community. River Bottom Roasters is definitely unique whether its the friendly barista with the amazing glasses (I wish I had gotten her name), the wooden canoes hung on the walls, the one of a kind matching Adirondack chairs, or their artsy labels on their coffee bags. As I sat on one of those comfy Adirondack chairs, sipping on my cortado and observing the folks walking in and out of the shop the sense of community was noticeable. The baristas knew customers. Customers warmly greeted other customers. The environment was warm and inviting. River Bottom Roasters is a great example of a community coffee shop. The sort of place I wish I had down the street from my house. One I could frequent often and be a part of while sipping on their delicious cortados made from their small batched coffee beans. read more

Nice local cafe. 3 stars is strictly for the coffee and muffin (which comes from a local bakery). As far as the hot food - 2 stars. I had two breakfast sandwiches myself and on another occasion, had a bite of another's. Wasnt impressed the first, second or third time. . I'm very much if you show an advertisement of a menu item i expect when I order it , it will look somewhat similar. Not the case. . I'm not a fan of thick sausage on sandwiches and it would've been appreciated if they would've taken the time to cut the bagel sandwiches in half. I love that it's a place I can go and meet up with friends. Its kid friendly atmosphere is great. I love the Chagaccino latte and power bowl and it always comes with a warm smile from staff. read more

My wife and I absolutely love this place! Will is the man! Outstanding coffee in a large seating area. My wife loves that they have fresh New York style bagels shipping in daily. We have stopped getting our fresh ground coffee from elsewhere and order here now! My wife gets the chai with vanilla and I stick to a hot coffee add stevia and vanilla. I recommend coming around lunch time if you want to avoid people because we are usually the only customers around this time. read more

Staff is always super kind, friendly and helpful! My first time here, the nice gentleman helped me decide what coffee and sandwich to get, and both were delicious; this time, the woman helped me pick a speciality latte (the maple nut latte, also delicious!).
