Stopped after a ball game to lick our wounds of defeat and order some food. I really really liked this spot in terms of scenery- located in the downtown district with both outdoor fenced seating (too cold upon visit), and indoor seating with a fancy bar. What's also cool is to enter the restaurant you go into a large hallway that reminds me of an indoor mall area. Very cool. We sat near the front windows and let the sun warm us up. We ordered an appetizer (crab pretzels) and a couple of cups of MD crab soup - the red not the white cream of crab. I will say the crab pretzels were decent - a soft pretzel covered in crab dip. There were only two of them- not that it wasn't enough, but if we had more in our party, two wouldn't have cut it. Decent flavor. Crab soup was very good, I'm more of a cream of crab guy, but to me this was good with a decent amount of crab in it. For entrees I went with the CFO Fish Sandwich- kind of like a battered cod po'boy on a brioche bun with lettuce and tomato. The fish was golden brown and very tasty- seasoned properly and of course I asked for extra tartar sauce to get myself going. Came with chips- I appreciated the sandwich. Chips were just Lays. Decided against dessert and moved on, would definitely recommend this spot for a breezy spring or summer evening and get something fancier on the menu. Good meal, great times. 4 Stars.

Stopped in for lunch on a quiet Saturday. I had the Pork Belly Tacos. Winnie had the Carnitas Pita. Great atmosphere, historic building, wonderful service. Can't ask for more than that. The Pork Belly was amazing. Served with a wonderful coleslaw. The carnitas were very good. On pita points with a pico salad on top. The area has many great restaurants, our first time here. Glad we visited.

Fast and friendly take out and worth every dollar

Absolutely fantastic, super friendly staff, and amazing food did the take out thing due to covid and wasn't disappointed at all

The moderate noise has been increased by the obnoxious construction and the TV volume increased to drown out the construction noise. Not quite the decibels of a Who concert, but not as enjoyable either. The service was prompt and professional. The food was very good. I had a spinach salad with grilled salmon. Very fresh and flavorful. My cohort in crime had the merger burger, a combination of burger and crab cake. The Merger Burger contributed to an above average burger lunch experience. The crab cheese was a tantalizing nice touch for my palate. However, construction noise was loud with the ground occasionally shaking. The customer who propped a door open to share his smoking habit along with cold winter air was rude. Overall good experience that has potential to be better. Worth another try when construction complete. The atmosphere is what kept this fine place from five stars

Thai chicken lettuce wraps and strawberry lemonade. Very good! And grilled chicken is warm.

Good food and equally good service. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Initially ordered a pineapple juice which was insanely sour so I asked to switch to a strawberry lemonade which was delicious. Ordered the thai chicken lettuce wraps and everything was delicious. The price was reasonable for the experience and portion sizes ($13). I love that they have outdoor seating as well. I would definitely come back to try other food options.

Not impressed. They didn't have any copies of the kids menu. Service was slow and the food wasn't nearly as good as it used to be.

I love fried chicken sandwiches, and I love crabcakes, so the Chesapeake Sandwich jumped out the menu--a combo sandwich of both!... and $15? Sign me up. The chicken was super moist on the inside, crispy and well seasoned on the outside. The crabcake was almost all crabmeat as well, which was delicious! My wife got a chicken taco salad, which came in a tortilla bowl and was also very good (with very well cooked chicken on top). My only complaint: the fries were a bit under-done. They also do 5oz samples of beer on draft, which was very nice for when you don't want a whole drink.

Gregory Garlitz on Facebook:…read more My girlfriend ordered the inferno wings today on the hidden menu. These wings were no joke, I did the buffalo wild wings inferno challenge twice without milk, it took 3 cups of milk to get through 5 of the 8 and I tapped out. The thing is, they aren't JUST insanely hot, they are also INSANELY flavorful. Hotheads eat your heart out, order these and you will not be disappointed. These 100% need to be a challenge. 8 in 10 minutes, no milk? The wings at Buffalo wild wings look like they were taken from baby chicks in comparison to what I got. Contact me when they become a challenge, I will gladly make the 1 hour drive to try it out, even if I fail!

The venue can be overwhelming, with lots of choices. One section of the menu was dedicated to hotdogs, one section is dedicated to non-hotdog entrées, and also Appetizers, desserts, and drinks. The dogs here are amazing! I loved the Chicago dog, but when I had my a bite of the Big Mac dog I wished I got that one too. Then we had the pastrami dog making it a three dog night. The fries are also especially delicious because they are crunchy and battered. My little one had a kids meal that came with fries and he was forced to share. With any hotdog, you get your choice of beef,/chicken, or veggie. We went beef all the way, and it was a great choice. The dogs are split and grilled on a flat top, and maintain all of their juicy goodness. And the toppings just enhanced everything. If you're a hotdog purist, ketchup and relish or mustard and onions would also make for perfect dogs. The staff was friendly and super accommodating to a feral toddler. For three hotdogs, a kids meal, I need rings, and drinks, the $40 price felt like a bargain. Great quality and value.

Husband got the foot long coney dog and my son got a sausage with some kind of sauce on it. I eat about 2 hot dogs a year so when I say it was delicious, I mean it. Now the bad. My 4 year old grandson got grilled cheese. It took forever for the food to come out. Like forever forever. He ate like nothing bc he drank his whole drink while we were waiting as we had been at the park for a couple of hours beforehand. I know, not unusual for a little guy. That's not the real problem. I got a side of onion rings and it was almost $5 for like 6 onion rings. Ketchup in little packets... not cost efficient and annoying for us. Had to track down waitress to get husband a second beer and me a first. There was no air conditioning and it was so hot in there!! AND THE WORST THING OF ALL... WHEN THE BILL CAME THERE WAS A 20% INCLUDED GRATUITY FOR "LARGE PARTY", which was not discussed. First of all, it was 4 ppl. That is not a large party. Second of all, this was not mentioned by staff. I see this sometimes with a group of 8 or more and it is usually noted in a menu somewhere or mentioned. But 4 people is not a large party. My husband and I both worked in the restsurant industry in our younger years. We get it, servers need to be taken care of, but come on. BEWARE. I would have gone back for that hot dog even with the sloooowww service and just not gotten a side, but that automatic gratuity thing is ridiculous. Customer lost.

The place is nicely decorated and spotless, and the staff were friendly throughout. While I don't claim to be an expert in Puerto Rican food, overall the flavors were excellent. We started with the empanadillas, which were crispy and hot. The canoas were also delicious. The plantains were perfectly ripe and sweet, and the meat filling was flavorful and provided a nice savory balance. For entrees, we all went with combo plates. Each comes with pickled onions and a small side salad (kind of like a pico de gallo), plus your choice of rice, like white rice, tostones, maduros, or seasoned rice like arroz mamposteao or arroz con gandules. The pollo was moist with a really nice aromatic seasoning on top. The pernil asado was tender with crispy skin. The bistec encebollado was my favorite. The beef was very tender, tangy from the vinegar marinade (it actually reminded me a bit of Filipino adobo), and full of flavor. Both seasoned rice options were yummy, though we all slightly preferred the arroz mamposteao as it was a bit more flavorful. We finished with flan de queso, which tasted fresh and wasn't overly sweet. Street parking was easy even on a Saturday evening. I'd go there all the time if I lived nearby!

I had the mofongo (with the garlic sauce) with the carne frita (fried beef). I'm Puerto Rican and the carne frita was probably the best I've ever had. It was crispy but not hard and it was very tender and tasty. And the garlic sauce ... OMG, so delicious. I also got chicken and pizza empanadas and a plantain soup to go. Both were pretty good too. The waiter was nice and attentive and made good suggestions. My only complaints are that I had to pay for parking and I thought the food was a little pricey for PR food/lunch. But considering the portions were decent, that there aren't a ton of PR restaurants in MD and that it was delicious, I would go back there if in the area again.
