A really good bar. Come and play some poker Tuesday through Thursday and get to know some of the rest of the locals.

The name of the restaurant should have been self explanatory: Ocean Blue OYSTER bar, but it was anything but. I didn't know how to navigate the menu-- there's Thai food, but also cajun food?? I opted for a little bit of everything: a pound of garlic butter crawfish, papaya salad, and their crawfish étouffée. But... even with a full spread of dishes, not a single thing was good. I love a good leftover, but it wasn't even worth salvaging. WHY: The crawfish had zero flavor. Making crawfish is an art, and the artist here is clearly a novice--you can tell it was rushed. The papaya salad should have been light and refreshing, but boy, the fish sauce overwhelmed every bite. Lastly the étouffée... was far from an actual etoufee. The roux was off, the texture was more like gumbo SOUP, and I barely found any crawfish in it.

Everything was flavorful and on point! Still the best lao style papaya salad in town! Padsee ew was wok-ee and flavorful, tender beef. They have a spacious bar to grab a drink. Definitely excited to come back for crawfish season!

I've been here twice in the past week so I guess you could say I like it here. For drinks, Mexican martinis and margaritas are perfect, not too strong and not too sweet. For food, I wasn't crazy for the birria tacos and wouldn't get them again, but everyone else in my group had delicious plates which is why I gave it another chance. Second time around I got the al pastor mini tacos. These by far are the best al pastor tacos I've had! So juicy and flavorful. Can't wait to come back and try something new.

Well my aunt (who is almost 70) didn't see on the menu it said charro beans was an up charge, refried beans came free. So when she got her bill she was surprised to see she was charged extra for the beans. Mind you the refried beans DID come with her tacos. Why did the waitress not ask "do you want the refried that comes with it or charro for an up charge?" Instead, the waitress automatically gave her charro beans. You don't automatically give someone the upgraded version to their meal and especially not without asking which kind of beans does she want. I'm writing this update bc in my last review the waitress did the same thing by up charging my husband's meal when he didn't ask to. BEWARE here! The food is pretty decent, nothing crazy but it hits the spot if you need some decent Mexican food. However, go over your bill and clarify everything-twice! Just in case because they will try to make extra money off upgrading you without asking you.

I went for happy hour with another couple but missed it by 30 mins... our wait staff, Mason was very accommodating and attentive. My party shred an app and our sides. My husband and I shared the chicken fried steak, definitely large enough for two. we were all satisfied with the portions and food! Collectively we had: Brisket nachos- must order! Chicken fried steak x2 Creamed corn/spinach Bacon wrapped shrimp -VERY good. Has a hint of horseradish Banana pudding...you must like artificial banana flavors to enjoy this one. Brownie sundae -basic. We each had 2 drinks. The frozen old fashioneds are great! I like the etched ice cubes for non frozen cocktail. Cute little touch. The total was ~$250. There were no salads, nor the usual cheese, fruit display that you would find at a typical nice brunch, nor bread and pastry options (only cheap Texas Toast that they were pulling out of a bag.) The butter bowl, yikes! It was disgusting! Denny style grape and Apple jelly by Smuckers was the offering. If you like chips and quest or Mexican breakfast things, then you could find that. There were no desserts. It was like a basic Holiday Inn buffet. Sad.

This place knows pancakes with four all the time specialty flavors (pineapple, strawberry, cinnamon…read moreroll and banana), one specialty (currently sticky toffee) and the basic buttermilk. While they claim to be a breakfast / brunch restaurant, all of the options I saw on the menu are breakfast options (no burgers, no salads, soups, sandwiches, etc ). So if you like endless variations on eggs and some creative pancakes / French toast this place is for you. If one or more in your party want something different, they may not feel very excited with the menu. They have quite an extensive menu beyond pancakes if that's not your thing. They have a specialty bacon that I really enjoyed with a stack of strawberry pancakes. The wife went with two eggs, two bacon, hashbrowns, substituted the sticky toffee pancake for the bread options. She thoroughly enjoyed the eggs, bacon and pancake. The hashbrowns were a bit of a miss. They tried to do something unique with the potatoes and they were not the right texture, being on the mushy side of things. Service was competent and prompt. The wife had decaf coffee and while it was quite good, our server could have been more attentive in keeping her cup full. The inside decor seemed unremarkable to me. With no partitions to speak of, it was louder than most places. On the positive side, it we clean, comfortable and well maintained. Definitely a place to return to when we are in the area looking for brunch.

Stopped in with a friend after hearing good things from a local, especially about the cheesesteak…read more It was early on a Saturday night, so the place was pretty quiet, which wasn't a concern at first. After ordering, we were told they were out of ribeye, so we pivoted to burgers. We also ordered an appetizer sampler. The mozzarella sticks and fried pickles were decent, but the wings were a different story. The honey BBQ sauce tasted more like honey ketchup, and the wings themselves weren't crispy; the skin looked pale and boiled. When our burgers arrived, things really went downhill. We each took a bite and immediately lost our appetite. The bacon wasn't crispy and had an off, almost rancid taste. The onion rings were just okay, but you could clearly taste the oil they were fried in. The fries were the one bright spot and they were actually pretty good. On the positive side, our waitress handled everything well. She was understanding, attentive, and professional throughout, which we appreciated. Only reason why this isn't a one star. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. The next day, both of us had stomach issues. Safe to say, this is not a place I'll be returning to.

I pointed out the fact that the wing prices was twice as much as the establishments. This is accurate you can google yourself. The bartender came out and told me I was being rude to their bartender and smacked the drink out of my hands and told me I was no longer welcome at their establishment. I do know who the owner is.And I am sure this is not something he condones. However, if he is looking to grow his business, these employees are not going to help.
