We are not happy with Roofmasters, and will not give positive reviews or recommendations for the company. In March of 2018, we hired them to inspect the roof of our just purchased house in Davis, CA, and give us an estimate of any needed repairs. On the day that the work was scheduled to start, no one showed up at the scheduled time. After calling them to check whether they were coming, they finally sent someone over a few hours later, who seemed like having already worked a whole shift, and was ready to go home. He spent an hour or so on the roof, and said he was done, and left. When we told him all the work was not completed, he said he would talk to his boss and someone would get back to us. After receiving the invoice, I asked for a breakdown of accomplished work with corresponding charges. They flatly and continually refused to give us the breakdown of their work despite our repeated requests, and demanded the full payment, "as per estimate". We believe, we are entitled to seeing the breakdown of charges before making payments. The Roofmasters are the only contractor we have worked with who did not provide us with the breakdown of their work. Needless to say that we got tired of hearing their justification for not wanting to give us their work breakdown, and went ahead and paid them. But, we will not hire them again in the future, and we do not recommend them. read more

They, unlike all the other places I called, were highly responsive and got me a quote very quickly. They worked me into the schedule as fast as possible and the team that came out was amazing. Made an appt asked for a call ahead so I could get there from work (10min away) twice he showed up with either not calling at all or calling and leaving immediately when I wasn't there. RoofMasters just replaced my roof and also removed the dry rot. They gave me a fair price and was very responsive with my questions during install. They also have a foreman that checks on each installation crews work which a lot of companies don't do to save money. I had gotten quotes from 3 contractors and they had the most detailed quote. RoofMasters wasn't the cheapest and they were not the most expensive quote either. But they did the best job answering my questions before I committed to using them. They also helped fix my downspouts that were installed 3 years ago by another outfit without any charge. read more

I have been using Roofmasters since I bought my house, they did the initial inspection, added vents when I rebuilt my kitchen, fix the leak caused by an alge bloom and recently fix some rooted boards due to a failed instal of back paper (Seems KB used 10lb versus 50lb paper is the last part of the roof install. They are alway professional, arrive when they schedule and do a great job. The most recent repair the guy walked my roof, fix any minor issue, repaired some area bird had been picking at without me saying a world. I am very please with the quickness of the job and my roof looks great. I had a double roof so day 1 was removal. Day 2 was replacing the dry rot wood and putting on the new roof. Everything was finished by 2pm. It was like magic, done in 2 days. The workers showed up early and were polite. I gave them access to power from my garage and went to work. We just replaced our 70, yes 70 yr old roof. Johnathon at RoofMasters was responsive, efficient, and informative. I'm a little late giving this review from the roofing job that Roofmasters did for me 2 months ago. I have nothing but good things to say about Roofmasters. I had bids from 3 different companies. I felt that the bid from Roofmasters seemed to include the most value for the number of things that I wanted included in this project (owens corning roofing, seamless gutters, steel gutter guards, 2 sun tunnels and a skylight). Also, the reviews online and certifications the business has earned, made me feel more assured that Roofmasters was a good vendor to engage. There were no surprises. I did have to pay an extra $2k of dry rot repair, but was warned in advance with visible dry rot on the outside, that there may be dry rot under the roof that wasn't visible. Knowing there is dry rot around the house after home inspection, I wasn't surprised to have more boards replaced on this 35 year old house roof that never had a new roof from time it was built until now. After the initial quote (initial visit by owner was also very good), my conversations with questions on services, materials, requested changes through Jonathan in the office was excellent. He is a real value add in working with Roofmasters. He's extremely pleasant to work with, honest, helpful, fair, and patient with someone like me who has never gone through this before. And actually everyone who worked on the roof was excellent. The work was good quality and the team did an excellent job cleaning up after job each day. I am selling my home and needed to do some roof repairs. It is an older home, and I was seeking a 2-year certification. I needed the work done quickly. I probably called about 30 roofers. Roofmasters came through in a big way. Most roofers were unwilling to give me a 2-year certification because of the age of my roof. Roofmasters did not rule it out, and developed a plan for the replacement of part of my roof, and a repair of the rest, that would make them comfortable with certifying it. They were fairly priced, super responsive, extremely patient with my many phone calls, and gave me a very clear and realistic schedule, keeping me up-to-date as the weather changed. I cannot say enough good things about working with Johnathan. He went above and beyond in helping me get all the documentation required for my home sale. I will also mention that the repair work another company quoted me $2500 for, they quoted me $700 for. So that is what I mean by fairly priced. I have had Roofmasters do 2 jobs for us. The first was a few years ago. We had a terrible pigeon roosting problem. Aaron came out and told me they could clean the roof and put a sticky substance on the areas the pigeons were roosting. The price was reasonable and they did an outstanding job cleaning up the pigeon mess and we haven't had any pigeons since. The second job was today. We had a leak above our garage. The guys showed up during the scheduled timed and did the repair very quickly. When they were done they showed me before and after pictures of the whole area they repaired. This was one of the least painful home repairs I have ever experienced. My contractor informed me that part of my roof was not pitched correctly and was causing rain to rot out my porch pillar. Roofmasters was able to come out the next day to give me an estimate. Since I know nothing about roofing, I ran the quote and work order by my contractor and he said it was very reasonable. Roofmasters was able to come by the next day and make the repairs. The two man crew was professional, courteous, and fast. They showed up on time, did the agreed upon work, explained what they did, and cleaned up after themselves. I waited to write this review until we had our first big rain. Let me just say that from Jonathan in the the office to Marty and his crew to Arron the owner these guys are professional and great. When we were looking for a company to do our roof we got some quotes and they were the best. We wanted to pick a color out and Jonathan sent us some address to go and look at the houses with the colors we were interested in. (This helps a lot to see your colors on a house) we were torn between two. After talking to Arron he pointed out that the two colors were different types of shingles,and that the only difference was price. He told us to that if it was him he would pick the cheaper shingle because there was not much difference between the two. We were pretty set on the more expensive one because it was what they call a cool roof. Aaron pointed out that the cool roof has not been proven yet over years of use and that a $1500 dollar difference was a lot to trust on new technology. This was the OWNER telling us this. Right then and there we knew we had hired the right company. We set a date and the roof was scheduled to be put on. After meeting Marty and his crew I found them to be a great group of guys and professional. They came on time everyday cleaned up EVERY time they left even for lunch. These guys worked hard and late into the day and went above and beyond our expectations. They worked with me at every turn. (I can be kinda picky) but they didn't flinch at anything we asked. Working on a two story house and being their busy season even the owner Aaron came out and worked. I can't forget to tell y'all how I got better gutters as an up grade at no extra cost,and they took care of a little more dry rot at no extra charge also. I could go on and on. Have worked with a few roofing companies over the years but RoofMasters offered a very different experience. Aaron clearly knows his business but he spoke in terms that I could relate to. The work was fast and efficient and what really stood out to my new neighbors was the cleanup effort. Many of my neighbors came out at some point during the process to observe the work and chat with the crew. All they could take about later was the quality of work and the clean-up.
