This is definitely the roofing company you need! After being referred by a neighbor who has used them twice, I hired this reliable, family-owned business to replace my roof in late 2025. The results have been life-changing. During this year's rainy season, the addition of a new gutter and downspout on my garage made a massive difference--no more pooling water and complete peace of mind. Mr. Govea was a pleasure to work with; he provided an honest, fair quote and even pointed out which repairs could wait if I wasn't ready for the full bid. I ultimately decided to do it all at once because the pricing was so reasonable. His son did a great job power washing, and the entire crew worked diligently every single day. While the project took slightly longer than originally estimated, I am beyond satisfied with the quality of the work and the exceptional attention to detail. They even touched up the paint. I highly recommend Govea Roofing. read more

These gwere great from start to finish. I used them for a reroof and had them move the downspout to another location after they were done. They were happy to help me without hesitation. I used them again for a tile roof inspection and were nothing but stellar. 5 stars to Ana and Jose. read more

Unreliable. Made an appointment a week in advance. Repairman cancelled at the end of appointment window (after waiting for him all day) and rescheduled for the following morning at 10am. Called at 11am to reschedule again. I figured if Govea Roofing is this unreliable in keeping an appointment, how unreliable is their work? I'll pass. read more

I had meant to post this review some time ago. Govea Roofing came highly recommended from a friend and they were my third estimate to replace my roof and gutters. Surprisingly, they came in 5,000 less than other bids. It is a very small , family run business in high demand so I did have to be put on the books for a few days. Jose, the owner was very professional and knowledgeable so I decided to go with his company. They did an amazing job. Professional, timely and clean. And a fun fact, Jose also works with real estate companies and is a contractor/inspector, or something like that. Definitely recommend Givea Roofing. read more

Had my Fascia replaced on the sides of my house due to dry rot. He did a great job and even painted them to match if I had the paint on hand. He also found a rotten area of my roof and replaced it at no additional charge. That being said, Govea is wonderful and Very reasonably priced for all that he did. read more

Referred by positive online reviews, in Vacaville had a prompt free inspection/estimate for mobile home roof repair with an informative discussion. Received a detailed contract with senior discount, provided down payment, work done over three days with power washing, two coats of GACO sealant, and a 4th day final inspection complete with the powerful testimonial of amazing before-and-after photos assuring quality work with a 5-year warranty and 40-year life expectancy of 100% silicone sealant to prevent leakage with all corners, seams, cracks, and vents resealed. Mr. Govea was professional, friendly, courteous, patiently answered all my questions, addressed all my concerns. Jose Govea is The Sherlock Holmes of roofers. Govea Roofing was able to almost immediately determine cause of a "leak" that multiple roofers could not resolve or solve. The cause appears to be due to a section of high ceiling roof that is missing venting and due to the direction home is facing -- resulting in CONDENSATION between the shallow un-vented area of roofing, insulation and ceiling drywall. This is an oversight of the home builders. It was immediately obvious to most likely be cause after Jose Govea expertly identify this due to the missing vents and other symptoms of the "leak". Very honest company with great expertise. read more

Jose and his guys just did a small roof for me. They were very professional, on time, and quick. Also the price was excellent. Even though there was an issue with being short material (my issue, not theirs), they didn't stop work or roll up. I really appreciated this, as I expected to have to call them back out and pay extra. Instead they kept on going, and I was able to get them what was missing before it became an issue. Thanks a lot Jose read more

I purchased my home in 2017 and shortly after enlisted Govea Roofing to inspect and repair my tile roof. Not only was Jose professional and friendly, he performed the necessary repairs for a reasonable price and tips on "self maintenance". This past winter, my composition roof patio cover started leaking. Jose and his crew did an extremely exceptional job re-sheathing and roofing the patio cover well within my budget. Outstanding Quality for a Reasonable Rate! In 2016 my 25 feet by 16 feet patio cover began to leak along with leaks in the area below the flashing around my chimney. Since I knew most roofers were busy in the rainy season, I contacted a handyman. After a number of comprehensive efforts by a very good handyman, the leaks continued. I realized I needed to stop the leaks to avoid serious damage to my patio cover, and I needed to replace the whole patio roof along with the adjacent roofing and flashing around my chimney. I called three roofing companies, and each provided an estimate. I had decided to go with another company, but my painting contractor, who had just painted my house, highly recommended Govea Roofing. Despite other recommendations for that other company, I decided to go with Govea Roofing because of the high recommendation from my painter! I am so happy Govea Roofing did this work for me! Jose knows roofing! He showed me where the leaks were coming from and what was required to stop them. He showed me how the roofing had been installed incorrectly causing it to leak. He showed me the problems with the old flashing and how he would correct it. I learned a lot from him! I called Jose several times with questions, and he always returned my calls enthusiastically! Govea Roofing did the work on time and finished it in one day. They were very thorough, detailed, and hard working. Alex ran the crew who did the work. He was very nice and stopped to answer questions. He quickly replaced a dry rotted board and he even painted it to match the patio cover. They did exceptional work!!! By the time they finished, I felt like they were family!! I highly recommend Govea Roofing!! Give Jose a call. read more

Jose deserves a 5 star review to be sure! He provided an inspection for the sellers of a house that I was considering purchasing, that matched the inspection I had done by "Pillar to Post" and he provided a repair quote. There were broken tiles, vent lead flashing, ridge and rake junctions and plumbing roof jacks cracked/deteriorated, slipping roof tiles around the chimney and hip lines, all valley lines and rain gutters had accumulated debris with drop out at downspouts and mitters being leaky, as well as 6 attic and 1 exhaust fan vents needing to be installed. After purchasing the house, I had a couple of other roofing companies also provide an inspection and quote, which I was not impressed with (time it took to even hear back from them was very long). Upon calling Govea Roofing, I heard back directly from Jose the same day. His promptness, and quote convinced me to have him do the job. I am extremely pleased with his thorough work which he and one other employee accomplished in one day. He was very professional as well as personable, answering all my questions and was very reasonable with the cost of the project. I would definately recommend his company for your repairs. read more

I chose Govea to replace my roof recently, and am so happy I did! The whole experience was great from start to finish. José called me back quickly from my first request for an estimate, met with me within the week, and then came back with a very reasonable bid. I'd gotten a couple of other bids that were higher and didn't detail out the work and costs as clearly as Govea did. There was always great communication if I had questions, and while the work was being done. The crew was friendly and everything was completed as estimated, which was so wonderful! José even sent a few pictures of the roof once they got the old shingles off. Having a roof replaced is such an expensive thing, and it's easy to start second guessing yourself if you've made the right decision with who you pick to do the project. I never felt that with Govea... they really were amazing throughout the whole process. And my roof looks great! I have already recommended Govea to a few friends, and will continue to do so. Even if they don't ask :) read more

I received 3 Roofing bids, and GOVEA ROOFING was the least expensive. The owner came promptly when scheduled, was responsive by telephone and text message, and gave me an itemized bid that was easy for me to understand. He got the job done during the same week he bid the job, and came with a crew of 3. He finished ahead of schedule, and even did a small extra job. He was able to match my 25 year old concrete roof tiles, as I requested, and was awesome to work with. Thank you GOVEA ROOFING! read more

I just had Govea replace a well-needed new roof on my home. I got other quotes through Angie's List, but when I saw Govea's good reviews on Yelp, I decided to get a quote. I ended up hiring Govea and I am so pleased that I did. His team was on time, worked tirelessly and completed my job to perfection. The greatest challenge I had was once my scheduled install date came, we got hit with unusual spring thunderstorms and rain. But Jose was up to the task and he continuously kept in contact with me, changing the install date as the weather forecast changed. I have to believe this is very challenging because when weather interrupts one client, it is affecting all the other installs. We finally got a no rain day and they knocked it out. I highly recommend using Govea for your next roofing job. read more
