I had my solar panels and power wall battery installed around March 2025. Sometime around September…read more2025 when I checked my Tesla app, it was grayed out my power wall was off-line. I contacted Citadel and let me tell you it's been going on almost 6 months and they still have not resolved the issue. I actually had to reach out to Tesla directly for them to confirm that I'm not crazy. It's not a Wi-Fi issue. There was a ground fault error. I relayed this information to Leslie and her supervisor Bernice. They sent a technician out to check on my battery who also contacted Tesla. You would've think the next time they sent a technician out it would be to go on top of my roof and check all the wiring but instead the same technician came out and again checked the battery and contacting Tesla. Then I was informed they would need two technicians to come out and go on top of the roof and lift all the panels checking all the wires to find where the exact issue is. Obviously, I knew that so I was confused as to why this technician was here a second time only looking at the battery. Weeks later, they sent two technicians out today, January 27, 2026. They go on my roof and they did find an issue in one of the lines however they could not complete their job because they didn't have an MCI. They also didn't have the time to lift all my panels since it's late in the day. All of this should've been noted in their system so that their technicians would have been informed on what was needed. This issue has been dragged out for months. It's now only being "escalated" --because who knows if they're really going to do anything to speed things up and get together and fix all the problems. These things aren't cheap. It's an investment. You would think they would do better when there's so many other solar companies. Go somewhere else. Not worth the headache. I hope the owner sees this review and something actually gets done. I shouldn't have to post a negative review or ask for things to be escalated.

We found damage shortly after we moved into our home. NRG came out twice to look but never followed up with repair. We ended up hiring another company to fix the roof leak and repair the dry rot. Now Two months later we hired a company to clean our gutters and remove moss from the roof and this contractor discovered another leak in a seperate area as well as the dry rot you see in the photos below. According to the certificate in the first photo attached NRG warranted this roof for two years from any leaks. They come and look at the damage but do not follow up with any remedy in this situation. Buyer beware if you use them to inspect your roof when purchasing a home. Our realtor ordered the inspection on our behalf and we paid the invoice.

Northern California Roofing initially responded quickly and completed the repair in a timely manner. During the project, the senior project manager who was onsite stated that the roof leak requiring repair was due to poor workmanship at the original installation (Northern California Roofing was the company that had previously installed the roof). Based on that information, I expected the follow-up and billing questions to be handled thoughtfully and professionally. After the work was completed, I raised reasonable questions regarding workmanship, scope, and billing. Rather than those concerns being clearly addressed, my requests for clarification were met with dismissive and increasingly aggressive communication, including threats of a lien, before the issues were fully reviewed. I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this matter directly, including requesting involvement from ownership and the senior project manager. When I contacted the senior project manager myself, it appeared that the concerns I raised had not been discussed with him, and he indicated he would be willing to review the matter and work toward resolution upon his return in January 2026. At no point did I refuse to pay a valid invoice. I simply asked for clear explanations and documentation before submitting final payment. Unfortunately, that was treated as an unwillingness to pay rather than an attempt to resolve legitimate concerns by Tyler Nottingham, who has stated he is initiating the pre-lien process. I believe this situation is still resolvable and hope Northern California Roofing will choose to address these concerns professionally and transparently. I am open to a constructive response from management and would welcome the opportunity to update this review if the matter is resolved appropriately.

One of my downspouts came detached at the top from my two-story home and was leaning dangerously…read moreover my backyard, held in place only by the bottom attachment, which was also in the process of pulling loose (attached to the house by nails rather than screws, which isn't great). Solano Seamless came out and re-attached the downspount on top AND on the bottom, AND made a mid-point attachment for additional stability, using screws rather than nails so that the downspout will stay in place for many, many years to come. They were polite, clear, did a great job, and agreed to return to do the same (replace nails with screws and add mid-point attachments) to ALL the downspouts on my house to ensure that I don't have any more falling downspouts in my future (seriously, it was scary - it looked as if the detached downspout was ready to fall and hit someone in the head). Their prices were VERY reasonable, and they did the emergency fix for free, which astonished me. I recommend them for any service, repair or installation involving gutters and/or downspouts that you may have. They are total pros, great communicators, and charge very reasonable prices.

The Owner/Contractor David Saruhanov came out to meet me and discuss the project. He offered much more than the other two bids I got and he was very specific of the job they would do. What was most important to me was the warrantees, which he offered 25 year warranty for workmanship, and 50 warranty from GAF for any materials that should not hold up. The other two proposals only offered either a 7 year or 10 year warranty. I had a very good feeling when discussing the project with David that he would deliver what he said. And that is exactly what happened. I would highly recommend anyone needing roof repairs, new roofs, or reroofs, to check out The American Cool Construction Company. Their bid was barely more than the other two bids and the warranties much longer.
