When this first happened, my system wasn't producing any solar power at all. Since then I've had multiple technician visits, a lot of emails and text messages, and the same problem keeps coming back. After a technician comes out it might work for a day or two, then the production drops again. Months later, it's still not producing what it should. To be fair, communication was actually pretty good in the beginning. My emails were answered quickly and appointments were scheduled. But as time went on, the responses became slower and slower. I found myself having to send follow up emails just to get updates. At one point I was told they would keep me posted about the next appointment. After more than three weeks without hearing anything, I had to follow up myself. The next appointment wasn't offered until after I reached out. One thing that really frustrated me was being told my system looked fine because there were no alerts. That was hard to understand when the system was clearly not producing like it had before all of this started. I even explained that it would seem to work after a technician visit, then the production would drop again shortly after. After months of dealing with the same issue, I asked for my case to be escalated to management. That request wasn't even acknowledged. No one responded to it. No manager reached out. It was like I never even asked. The whole time this has been going on, I've still been making my monthly solar payment while also paying higher PG&E bills because my system isn't producing what it should. I have every email and text message saved from this whole process. This wasn't one bad appointment or one repair that didn't work. This has been months of temporary fixes, waiting for the next appointment, then finding out the problem still isn't fixed. The workers showed up 10 min early and quickly got to work and spent around 3 hours methodically clearing and cleaning the gutters and sealing up edges as we agreed upon. In fact, while on the roof, they noticed two cracked tiles and showed me photos. They'll be coming back to fix those next week at a reasonable price. One of my downspouts came detached at the top from my two-story home and was leaning dangerously…read moreover my backyard, held in place only by the bottom attachment, which was also in the process of pulling loose (attached to the house by nails rather than screws, which isn't great). Solano Seamless came out and re-attached the downspount on top AND on the bottom, AND made a mid-point attachment for additional stability, using screws rather than nails so that the downspout will stay in place for many, many years to come. They were polite, clear, did a great job, and agreed to return to do the same (replace nails with screws and add mid-point attachments) to ALL the downspouts on my house to ensure that I don't have any more falling downspouts in my future (seriously, it was scary - it looked as if the detached downspout was ready to fall and hit someone in the head). Their prices were VERY reasonable, and they did the emergency fix for free, which astonished me. I recommend them for any service, repair or installation involving gutters and/or downspouts that you may have. They are total pros, great communicators, and charge very reasonable prices.
