After a big day of snowboarding a local guy on the chairlift told us about Ronnie's for burgers and beers so we had to check it out. Way better than the $13 bowl of chili in the cafeteria at the base of the mountain. Server was sweet, beers cold and fizzy. I got the Bleu Burger, amazing and fries are on point !! Thanks !! Highly recommend

One of the most accommodating, friendly, cozy places we've been in years. Stopped in late on a Friday night as we arrived to Hunter Mt for snowboarding, thrilled that they were still serving food. We would have been happy with some mediocre bites - but the food was fantastic! We had a fresh salad, tasty fries and outstanding wings. The bartender was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back (ignore the negative nonsense in other comments).

Little R&R plus a couple of cold ones!!!!

We were seated immediately in a very cozy booth, and the server was friendly and helpful. We had the fondue, of course, with apples and veggies added on. We shared knishes, and then each had a cup of soup. Everything we tasted was delicious, exactly the kind of warming, comforting, stick to your ribs food you want after a morning hike. The one thing I wasn't wild about was that they charged for each drink refill, but the server was attentive and the fondue was so good that I can definitely forgive that.

But several awkward minutes passed and another party came inside before anyone greeted and escorted us to a table. Oddly, a runner walked by the entrance a few times but didn't acknowledge us and seemed to avoid eye contact. Prices were were a hair higher than expected, but thankfully the portions were filling. I went with the tavern steak sandwich ($22). The fries were the steak kind but not too fat and wedge-y. There was a totally reasonable amount of Muenster and steak, and I found that the sandwich didn't really need the accompanying steak sauce. The mac & cheese ($14) was a delightful appetizer made with a whopping five different cheeses! Last Chance mentions both antiques and cheese in its name so we had to investigate both. Instead of a separate shop, the antiques are all around the restaurant, and our server said some are for sale and some belong to the owner's private collection but he seems possibly open to offers. The cheese and gifts are in an area on the other side of the bar, with the cheese behind a counter. I thought the cheese collection would be larger and have more NY options, but it was still a solid selection. If you plan on purchasing any candy or other treats after your meal, just let your server know so you can take your bill over there.

Be sure to grab a carafe of water and cups at the bar. I went with the BTF Famous Onion Smash Burger ($14.35). It comes with cooked onions as the name suggests, jalapeños, mild cheddar, and garlic white sauce. It's easy enough to request to remove the onions and/or jalapeños. Each burger consists of two 1/4 lb patties which are prepared medium well, no changes there. These smash burgers were truly smashing! We also shared a basket of fries ($8.20), and they were piping hot and perfectly salted. The woman who took our orders was very nice, and a guy who may have been the chef/owner stopped by our table to check on us. When in Tannersville, Brave the Flames!

The smashed burgers and salads were tempting. You order at the counter in this bustling little space and grab a table if you can. We ordered the vegetarian chopped cheese which has a strange seasoning on the soy curls; the chicken tenders were a hit; the baked mac and cheese was gobbled up; the fries were near perfect; but the veggie burger was blah. I make smashed veggie burgers at home, it's not hard to flatten the patty and add some seasoned salt. But this burger had two bland patties, a slice of tomato, and some wilted lettuce. Very sad. So although there were many happy meat-eating customers, they could definitely improve upon some of their vegetarian entrees.

Whether you're coming off a long day at Hunter Mountain or just passing through Windham, this spot perfectly balances a rustic, family-friendly atmosphere with a menu that doesn't cut corners. The Butcher Steaks: This isn't just a "chicken joint." They take their beef seriously, offering fresh-cut, flame-grilled steaks like the 24oz Ribeye and NY Strip. They even age their own steaks in-house when available, resulting in a tender, seasoned-to-perfection cut that rivals high-end steakhouses but at much friendlier "mountain prices." The Signature Fried Chicken: This is the restaurant's namesake for a reason. The chicken is consistently hot, crispy, and juicy. Pro tip: Get the combo that comes with their special honey sauce and "cornbread cake." Dipping the savory, salty skin into that honey is a game-changer. BBQ Ribs: If you're looking for "fall-off-the-bone," you found it. Their ribs are slow-cooked and slathered in a rich, tangy sauce that requires a stack of napkins and zero regrets. Save room--or just admit you're having a second dinner--for the homemade desserts. Their dessert bar and soft-serve ice cream are staples, but the real magic happens in the summer (or around the outdoor firepits) with their S'mores kits. It's the perfect way to cap off a mountain day. With a massive backyard featuring a firepit, live music on the weekends, and a "come as you are" dress code, it's easily the best spot for big groups. The service is fast, the portions are massive, and the "old-school country" energy makes you feel like a local the moment you walk in.

The prices are very good and I the atmosphere is family oriented and very friendly IMO. Whenever I'm in Windham this is where I go. I like the bar a lot if you want to just hang out and enjoy the scene. The outdoor area is really nice too when its not winter. It is definetly the best value in Windham.

First off you can order both outside at the single serve window or inside if people just read the signs instead of complaining. We ordered inside as I had a few menu questions never being there before. We ordered a Mamas Boy Burger, Jersey boy burger, grilled cheese, and tots. We also order two mills shakes the German chocolate cake and black cherry. I made the mistake of ordering two Patti's on my Mamas Boy and oh man it was huge! A single patty is more than filling as the burger patty is easily twice the size of the bun! The jersey boy burger was just as huge and delicious to the point my boyfriend said oh you won't like it simply because he didn't want to give me a single bite lol. The tots were so crisp and well seasoned a must try if you still have room after eating a giant burger! Yes the burgers are a little greasy but that is normal and still edible. We also ordered a grilled cheese which was the only disappoint of the meal for $7 as it was not melted at all on the Inside only crisp bread on the outside. I would've had said something to the staff however my boyfriend just wanted to go home and said he would remelt it there. When ordering our milkshakes the staff were extremely helpful and patient. Highly recommend the German chocolate cake as it was amazing. The black cherry with their hard ice cream was delicious as well. Our whole meal was a little over $40 for a late lunch and well worth the price.
