So delayed calling Lyft to accommodate the pickup time. Got there at 9:00pm (29 mins past promised time) - ORDER STILL NOT READY! Would not be ready for still another 25 mins! I started out with the Volcano Bar Salad. The salad is made with crab meat, shrimp, cucumber, seaweed, crunch, avocado with a dazzle of spicy sauce. Don't get me wrong when I say that the salad taste different. It's good but there is a taste to it that is very strong. I think it comes from the crunch or something. Next was my dynamite roll. Deep fried spicy crab mix with roe and white fish and asparagus. I've had dynamite from other restaurants back home that taste much better. The roll taste over fried and tasteless even with the soy sauce. My friend enjoyed her filet mignon and scallops. The food was fair not as tasteful as expected but the team work or service needs a lot of improvement. Server was very pleasant and helpful to explain the menu which is long and huge and not well in description for some items so needed assistance. Place was busy in some areas and not others and some servers seem free and sitting around counting their tips while other servers were working no team help to get all customers served in timely manner just their own. The food here is okay, we called and attempted to make reservations because we had a big group of 8 and was told they didn't do reservations. When we got there the line was out the door and a group came in after us WITH RESERVATIONS so they were able to eat and we had to come back another day. FF to the next day we came and ate. They charge you for steak even if you only eat chicken and shrimp fried rice. They could have easily charged for shrimp fried rice add chicken but instead they charge you for the combo with all three. The bathrooms were really filthy, men and women. This Ronin is very hit-or-miss. I've been here a handful of times. The first couple were good, but the last few have been disappointing. The portions are small when you sit at the hibachi and the prices are too high for those small portions. The service has been consistently slow and yet I've seen waiters and waitresses standing around more than once. I wouldn't recommend coming here. I wouldn't of returned had the first couple of times not been good, but that was such a long time ago and the more recent experiences since then have definitely changed my opinion of them. *Note: I see that someone said they're under new management. I wish I could leave no starts. We arrived and were told 20-30 minute wait. We check with host after 40+ minutes of waiting just to find out they gave our seats to a reservation that brought more people then the reservation. We heard the hostess tell management that she explicitly told those guest that they could not bring more people then reservations stated because of the waitlist. The manager came out and told her to seat them anyways and to tell us we would have to wait another 20-30 minutes again! We arrived before six with a toddler and guest who traveled to try the hibachi for the first time. Was a cool environment. Had a chef cook for me and the server was great. He always refilled our drinks and asked verbatim what our order was. The restaurant was clean, very cool lookin, and a great atmosphere to eat and socialize. I'm not one for hibachi but would recommend this vegan place if your vegan and love hibachi. read more

Chef came out with cart and started cooking, another guest noticed a roach crawling on the rice on the cart that came from the kitchen. Everyone sitting at the hibachi table stood up and walked out. We originally did check reviews for the restaurant which we did see a few reviews due to bugs but they were over a year old. We decided to give it a try any way but I do not recommend.
