Kelly was sweet. What I am about to write is not a reflection of her at all. The crab rangoons were hot and fresh. My udon noodles were delicious and full of flavor. I ordered a sushi roll that on a previous visit, came out warm with no spicy chili oil that tonight came out ice cold with spicy chili oil all over it. I took one bite and knew it was not right so I called the waitress and told her I could not eat it because of the spice level and was told that the roll I ordered tonight was correct and the previous one I received was incorrect. Well how was I supposed to know that? I said well I can't eat that. I was then told that because it was the correct roll I would have to pay for it. I said ok fine. then the manager or whoever comes back with it after I sent it back telling me it was the right roll and leaves it at my table. I said I'm not eating that. Rawz is a good not great option for sushi, if there were more options to choose from I wouldn't come here as often. Service can be slow at times, and we have had some mix ups while visiting (brought us the wrong roll completely and then said we would have to wait 10/15 minutes for the correct one). Went there today 21st of June 2025 we sat there for more than 30 minutes empty drinks no one refilling or acknowledging our existence- after 45 minutes they tell us the printer was out of paper so our order wasn't processed- ???? The overall experience was subpar to say the very least. The Beef Pho was lacking seasoning, the noodles were extremely starchy and the "beef" was not a cut of meat I had tasted before. The Alaskan Sushi roll was decent. The Phoenix Sushi roll wasn't the same roll type as other sushi houses, but to be fair, I should have read the ingredients to make sure it was what I wanted. Our server seemed very overwhelmed but he did the best he could to take care of us. As for the overall atmosphere, it was bland. There wasn't any anticipation of service, the music was so loud you had raise your voice to have a conversation, and the appearance of the restaurant is very dated. Sunday me and my mom had lunch here since I was traveling from Dallas & had taste for sushi. My mom ordered a dish the waiter recommended but didn't realize it had RED SAUCE that she cannot eat due health conditions. The owner was asked to credit her for other time since they were closing at 2:30 or please remove item since my mom never touched the dish. The owner became very RUDE (yelling at us) & Passive Aggressive and threatens to call the cops even though we paid for all the other items. My mom called the cops herself and long story short we were able to leave without paying for something the owner tried to force us to pay for!! He was very disrespectful and rude. I thought the sushi was good and high quality. I will say, the nigiri was excellent and the volcano roll was as well. I also tried the tuna trio and while it was good, it was just too spicy for my liking. We moved away and always missed our times at Rawz. Until recently, we had not been able to eat at Rawz for a number of years. The Staff was nice enough, but when we got the food it was nothing like we remembered. The Tamarind chicken was a small quantity of poorly flavored cornmeal-fried thin chicken with little sauce that was very sour. The chicken lo mein had very little chicken and no sauce to speak of. We added on vegetable egg rolls that came out dark-almost burned and appeared to fried store-bought frozen egg rolls. Sad to say, we wont be going back...our Rawz is dead and gone. read more

For West Monroe this is probably a good place to eat. My brother raves about this place. But, I live in Austin, TX and we have crazy awesome sushi restaurants, so it was a let down for me. The service was super slow...some of the slowest service I've ever received. The menu kinda confirms why it's a let down. They have a combo of Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai food on there. My advice: just focus on one thing and be great at it instead of trying to be okay at a lot of things. Great potential, just no sprinkles. read more

This place offers some amazing fresh made Sushi, as well as a large variety of soups, noodle dishes and traditional Thai offerings, as well as some Chinese options. We have eaten hear many times, and the service is typically fast, and the food is consistently good. They use fresh spices and it really shows in the aromatics and flavor of the dishes. If I have one complaint it is that the kitchen sometimes miss time the cooking of the tables order, and on more than one occasion they have delivered half the food, and not the rest, leaving some of the party staring at their fellow dinners as they eat. We have found that telling our server, "please tell the kitchen we want all the food out together" helps with this. I know that it should be normal for this to happen, but here you may need to make sure you request it. read more

This is absolutely my favorite place for Thai food and one of my favorite places to eat ever, but I learned recently that the servers don't get to keep their tips. The owners take them. I mean they make more than minimum wage, but still. I feel like my previous tips were a waste. Why am I paying for food and then paying extra to tip if my hardworking server doesn't even get to keep it? It feels like we've both been cheated. Obviously I'll never tip there again, which is such a shame because the cooks and the servers more than deserve it. The food and service is always top notch! Leaving a 1-star review in hopes that it makes the owners take notice. I'm going to spread the word so everyone I know will stop tipping, too. I still LOVE the food! However, the servers who are amazing, DO NOT get to keep the tips!!!!! Don't bother tipping. Save your money. I stay in West Monroe occasionally and thought I'd branch out from the chain restaurants or eating at the hotel tonight. I was trying to keep in mind that I'm in a small town and not to expect too much. With that being said, I guess I had an accurate assumption. I was greeted promptly and seated at a table for 4, but a table for 2 was right next to me (I was alone and this was probably frustrating to customers waiting with larger parties). I usually sit at the sushi bar when I go for sushi, but this restaurant doesn't have one. I ordered and got my food in a pretty quick timeframe. The guy that brought my 2 rolls actually held it at such an angle that 2 pieces of a roll slid right off the plate. He was clearly sorry so I told him not to worry about it. The food was solid, but nothing to write home about. Service was sub-par. The girl that helped me didn't know what beers they had, and was quite confused when I asked her to split the food and drink into separate checks. When I left, the same girl and another guy were at the host desk. They both looked at me, but no thank you or goodbye was offered. I got it Hot, even though they recommended mild, and it is was the perfect spice (only if you can take the heat)! Definitely going back! My boyfriend got the Red Curry and it was delicious too! The only thing we didn't like were the Spicy wings. They weren't bad, but from the picture they seemed similar to Korean Wings, but they weren't.
