It already looked so cute from the outside, and when we walked in, we were even more surprised by how adorable it was. It really reminded me of the Japanese restaurants in Houston. They definitely did a great job with the decorations! When we looked at the menu, I noticed everything was really affordable--from the appetizers to the entrees and drinks. Our server was super sweet and attentive. She checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. I got myself some hot tea since I was sick. It was just a tea bag, but it was actually pretty good. I also noticed their sauce bottles and seasoning containers were really clean, which I always appreciate. This is what we got: * A8. Ika Maru Yaki: A whole grilled squid drizzled with their house sauce and marinade. I absolutely loved this one. $10 for a whole grilled squid is such a good deal! At festivals, you usually pay around $15 for half of one, and honestly, they don't even taste that good. Naruto did an amazing job with this dish. I just wish it had a little more char, but that's just my personal preference. * A12. Geso Fry: Crispy and delicious. I really liked the chili powder (I think) they sprinkled on top. * R11. Udon: This came with lots of vegetables, which I love, plus a poached egg, squid, shrimp, naruto, and two shrimp tempura. The poached egg was a little overcooked, but it wasn't a big deal. The broth was so good--it had sweetness from the vegetables and a nice seafood umami flavor. Definitely recommend trying this one. * D9. Gyu-don: My husband was excited to order this since it's one of his favorite dishes. The egg was cooked well, but he personally prefers a runnier yolk. Overall, it was still a decent bowl. Overall, we had a great experience. Especially for a small town like Monroe with a relatively small Asian community, I think it's amazing they're able to open a place like this and introduce more people to Asian cuisine. The ramen here is top notch. Some of the best I have had. I go here with my cohorts when we are on campus once a semester for our hybrid program. I have tried the miso soup as well as the milk tea, the Naruto fruit tea with popping mango bubbles, the chicken bun, the dumplings, and the shrimp balls. I loved everything but the shrimp balls. They were very very fishy. My friends love the scallion pancakes. The service here is always top-notch with a very clean environment. The decor is SO cute! read more

I haven't had ramen in a while and this did not disappoint. The place is nice and clean and service was great! Crab ragoons were recommended and they were fried just right to a crisp and nice flavorful cream cheese filling and a sweet sauce to dip it in. My beef ramen was so good. I added some chili sauce to mine that they conveniently have at the table. My husband loved his chicken katsu which was perfectly fried and had a great dipping sauce on the side that was sweet and tangy. Overall a great place to go for your ramen fix! read more

Ordered appetizers and saw they had kimchi. Being from Hawaii, I know we have the best kimchi until I had Naruto's kimchi, and that was the best kimchi I've had off the island. I've worked out in California and some spots came close and never thought that working in Louisiana, I'd find a ramen spot that would rival what I grew up on. Looking up at the fish swimming beneath the docks, I felt like we were in a magical pond. It was opening day, so the place was only mostly packed. But give the word time to spread! The scent of curry broth made me wish there was a vegetarian curry ramen, but I was happy with my agedashi tofu (I should have asked for no bonito flakes, because they were very generous with those) and seaweed salad. The moment you walk in you're usually greeted and told to sit wherever you fancy. They don't swarm you, and allow you time to look over the abundant menu (which also has bubble teas!). The food was good, but I'd only recommend it if you have an appetite for Asian cuisine. My favorite was definitely the teriyaki chicken rice bowl and the miso ramen. Everything came out quick and beautifully. The food was clearly well cooked and made. There was nothing necessarily wrong with the service, but it is very apparent that many of the servers either had very little or no experience in the restaurant industry. Our waitress never checked in on us to see if we needed anything (we needed napkins) and we were waiting for the check for a good minute after finishing our food. It wasn't until a seasoned employee saw us and asked if we needed anything that we were finally able to pay and leave. But the aesthetic and ambiance of the restaurant was top notch! The decorations and Naruto references were so fun and playful! I especially loved the decorations of the entrance. I will say, I enjoyed hearing the music from the show and other related songs because it really added to the overall "vibe." But the music was a little to loud to the point where it no longer sounded like background audio. Overall, it was good! I don't know if I would come back to eat by myself until these issues are addressed, but it is definitely a fun place to eat with a few friends (no more than a party of 4-5 because seating is pretty limited). read more

Loved everything about this place!! The service was absolutely top notch, they did a wonderful job and went above and beyond. I hosted a birthday party with about 15 people here and they were so accommodating, rearranging tables, giving us plates and utensils for the cake we brought, etc. I was very happy to see a vegetarian ramen on the menu and it was actually good!! They have more space than it looks like in the photos online. Decorations were also really fun to look at, I loved the fish lanterns. The prices were also very reasonable.
