Well, let me tell you, the spelling on the drink menu is indicative of the service you can expect to receive. 25 minutes after being seated, we were greeted by our server. It was a fiasco getting a drink menu, which involved our waitress yelling across the restaurant, but we finally ordered our drinks, an appetizer, and entrees. Our entrees arrived first, we still had no drinks, water, or appetizer. 10 minutes later our drinks arrived at which time our waitress opened our now-cold entrees. "I'll bring you crab crackers shortly," she said; They never, ever, arrived. Near the end of our meal, these rubbery fried rings arrived which slightly resembled calamari; Our appetizer, now dessert, was inedible frozen Sysco garbage. We managed to eat as we watched our waitress call a patron at the next table a "b!tch" and told her she "obviously wasn't on a diet." Needless to say, I would not recommend this place. I HAVE NEVER EVEN IMAGINED THIS HAPPENING. My fiancé and I came in to eat, and everything was fine until our food came out. A man walked up and sat at the table across from us and said "how y'all doing?" My fiancé and I are polite so we both looked up from our plates of food, smiled and said "doing good." I noticed that a hostess had not brought him to the table, he just walked into the building and sat down, which is weird, so I returned to eating my food. The man then proceeds to ask us for money. All we had was a card so we explained this to him and said we were sorry and he continued to sit next to us for at least 5 minutes trying to get money from us. Once he finally realized he wasn't going to get any, he moved on to the next table. Don't get me wrong, I understand that some people can get down on their luck and depend on the kindness of other people to get by... but a restaurant is not the place for it, this man should have been stopped at the door. That's one of the many reasons why hostess stations are posted in restaurants at the door, to keep people who are not customers out of the building. He went to three or four tables, a nice waitress gave him a free meal, and he carried his food with him to continue asking for money before he left. Just like every other time we have come in, we had to wait at the hostess stand for quite a while before the hostess came to her station to seat us. Just like this man, anyone could just walked in and sat next to you without being noticed. That could potentially be dangerous to the customers, not to mention the fact that no one wants to go in and eat dinner and have some random person interrupt their meal to continuously asking for money. read more

My husband and I visited West Monroe for a few nights and were looking for a good place to eat lunch. We drove around the bend from our hotel, looking for a place we visited in the Pecanland Commons area several years ago. We found that the restaurant we were looking for was no longer there and in it's place was The Mighty Crab. We love seafood and decided to go in. What a great decision that was! We both ordered the daily special (boil combos/buckets) - I got mine with links, and my husband got his with lobster. We each had snow crab, corn, shrimp with no head, and potatoes in the order with our links or lobster tail. My husband ordered the garlic butter sauce and I ordered the cajun. We were both blown away by how scrumptious and finger-licking good everything was! The food was fresh and so tasty. On a side note - we also each had a glass of house chardonnay, and it was very good, too.
