GOOD FOOD-Bit of a wait When we stopped here we originally were seated fast and given chips and salsa. Although I don't think anybody told our waitress we arrived because she didn't notice us for a while and we had to get her attention. Once we did she was wonderful and waited on us well and we got our food pretty quick. I have no complaints other than I wish the salsa was a little spicier. Overall and good choice.

We love amigos! Wife and I frequent this Mexican eatery. We have always received courteous and prompt service here. We love this place because we can customize our orders here to our likings. We appreciate the chef satisfying our requests. Mario always treats his patrons like his guest at home. Always going above and beyond to make us happy. He has surprised us many times with mystery plates. We ordered Chicken and Shrimp Fajita, Fajita Nachos, and Custom ordered Eggs! They have delicious green sauce made from jelepeno and cilantro. Smooth and creamy with zesty bite! Highly recommend Amigos for Mexican cravings. Thank you for always providing exceptional service.

Best Mexican food in Monroe and the most affordable. Owners are nice and they offer a Veteran discount.

Chili verde is an institution and they respect it as such. The shrimp cocktail is declining lately though.

I love Mexican food. It is my favorite cuisine, hands down. Don Tomas is the best Mexican…read morerestaurant within a 50 mile radius. Trust me, I've tried them all. I've had good, bad, and I'll be in the bathroom for the next four hours, if anyone needs me. Don Tomas isn't good, it's AMAZING! The food is so authentic, that Donald Trump would have it deported. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. If you love Mexican food as much as me, do your stomach a service and eat at Don Tomas. Most Mexican restaurants have your food out almost as fast as you order it. Why? Because most of the time, it's already made and is just heated up for you. Not here. Don't get me wrong. They're pretty fast, too. But you can definitely tell that the food hasn't been sitting in the back, waiting for you to say, "Yeah, I'll have the number 16, because I don't know how to pronounce it." And ladies, if you like margaritas, they have two for one specials from 4-9. I think it's every Thursday, but I'm not positive. I'm not a woman and I can't pass for one. Maybe one day I'll try to get in on that special and hope they just think I'm an ugly woman and not ask. I'm not much of a drinker, but it sounds like a fun thing to try. I'll have to work on my female voice. Maybe throw on a sexy little number. Sorry, I'm going off topic here. The food is great. Go eat it, now! Or later. I'm sorry for yelling. By the way, I don't see their hours posted anywhere on Yelp, so I'll post them here: Hours: Sun: 11AM-9PM Mon: 11AM-9PM Tue: 11AM-9PM Wed: 11AM-9PM Thu: 11AM-9PM Fri: 11AM-9PM Sat: 11AM-9PM

I would rate this place as a mid level Mexican restaurant. It wasn't bad but not amazing either,…read morenothing just stood out to make it so great. The house salsa definitely needed some doctoring, but they had a little salsa bar with 2 other types of salsa, limes, onion & cilantro. All the ingredients to make it taste good. Chips were good. Cheese dip was hot for which I appreciated very much. The happy plate was decent. Food came fast. Server was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant felt dirty, which is probably what messed me up the most, besides having to season up my food with salsa bar offerings to give it more flavor. So, try it for yourself if you want, not saying it was bad, I've definitely had worse, but there's better places.

I love Mexican food, in general, so I am not too difficult to please. That being said, I love Avocados because they offer a fresher, lighter version of all of my favorites, and they are quite affordable, especially at lunch. I highly recommend the carne asada tacos (they are served on a corn tortilla with onions and cilantro) and the Baja chicken and rice. Their fajitas are excellent, and I always ask for a side of their green guaca sauce with whatever I order, which is super spicy, but sooo delicious. Their refried beans and rice are great, as well. I have only had the margaritas a few times (as I normally eat here at lunch), but they are also quite good, and normally 2-for-1. The service is friendly and quick, and you can easily get in and out over a one hour lunch break.

First the place is clean and the staff was super nice and the ac was cold…read more The food well was ok, not bad, not memorable other than the bean dip. However it was only memorable because it was so laughable. They brought us a bowl of queso with some specs of beans. The queso wasnt bad it had a little kick to it but definitely not bean dip. We also ordered guac which was fresh and had large chunks of avacado mixed with theor house salsa. The house salsa, again not bad - runny and kinda just there. I ordered the mixed fajitas which I thought were shrimp, beef, chicken but it was just beef and chicken (I didn't specifically say trio - my bad). The fajitas had grilled tomatoes, onions, green peppers, beef and chicken on a sizzling skillet with a side of guac, sour cream, rice and beans. It also came with flour tortillas. The beef was tough and the chicken a bit overcooked. The flavor was ok but again wouldn't go back for. The item I enjoyed the most was the grilled onions. Again, staff was nice and we had a good time. If you like more of a bland/non spicy Mexican food this place I would suggest. If you like big bold flavors and a lot of spice I don't think this would be the place.
