I love Mexican food. It is my favorite cuisine, hands down. Don Tomas is the best Mexican restaurant within a 50 mile radius. Trust me, I've tried them all. I've had good, bad, and I'll be in the bathroom for the next four hours, if anyone needs me. Don Tomas isn't good, it's AMAZING! The food is so authentic, that Donald Trump would have it deported. The service is great and the staff is very friendly. If you love Mexican food as much as me, do your stomach a service and eat at Don Tomas. Most Mexican restaurants have your food out almost as fast as you order it. Why? Because most of the time, it's already made and is just heated up for you. Not here. Don't get me wrong. They're pretty fast, too. But you can definitely tell that the food hasn't been sitting in the back, waiting for you to say, "Yeah, I'll have the number 16, because I don't know how to pronounce it." And ladies, if you like margaritas, they have two for one specials from 4-9. I think it's every Thursday, but I'm not positive. I'm not a woman and I can't pass for one. Maybe one day I'll try to get in on that special and hope they just think I'm an ugly woman and not ask. I'm not much of a drinker, but it sounds like a fun thing to try. I'll have to work on my female voice. Maybe throw on a sexy little number. Sorry, I'm going off topic here. The food is great. Go eat it, now! Or later. I'm sorry for yelling. Great food and prices. Happy hour prices are very good, just make sure to get there in time... they could make sure the TV's are on good sports in the bar area... And they could let you know that there is a salsa bar. but all is really good, will be back. read more

BEWARE! They will charge you to use your credit/debit incorrectly. No where posted that there is a difference between credit and cash. I asked to speak with manager and he called the owner. They said that there was nothing they could do. I will be reporting them to the card brand associations. Service was great food ok. read more

We were visiting from out of town and decided Mexican food sounded good. Based on reviews, we gave Don Tomas a try. We were not disappointed! It was a busy Saturday night, so service wasn't super fast, but our server was hustling. He kept us stocked with drinks and chips until our food arrived. The chips and salsa were both very good. I ordered the pollo en crema, and it was fantastic! Maybe one of the best renditions of this dish I've ever had. It was saucy and lightly spicy and so very good! I've been here twice and the service and food are perfect. I get the Mexican flag enchiladas, but I love the beef with salsa verde the best. My husband loves the Mexican flag burrito or the California burrito. We shared a queso and a queso with chorizo (I forgot the name) and it was delicious. Been on the road for 12 hours and literally had my breakfast here. Super nice server named Conner who was super accommodating, and that goes for the entire restaurant! They let me bring my anti anxiety dog in and he sat in a booth with me. Conversation was nice, food was great and the atmosphere is just what I needed! I actually really liked this restaurant, but there was a few problems with it. I thought the food was good and deserved a 4.7 or something around that and it was also clean. The only thing I thought was that the restaurant was moved more to older people because the tv had a lot of bad language. If you just get a spot away from the tv you won't have to worry though. Driving threw Monroe and I found this little hidden gem thanks to yelp . The family decided to give it a try and very glad we did ! The chips were amazing salsa was good but different . I like how they give u a big salsa so fill up on ur own when ur bowl runs out ! Friendly staff as well . The burrito my wife had was the biggest burrito I have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant and I've seen lots and lots!! I tried the sour cream chicken enchiladas very good !!
