Dealership experience was a mixed bag. Sales person was polite, but disengaged and the financing took almost 4 hours to complete despite me having a pre-approval. Delivery of the car was delayed by two days and I only found out by calling as I was heading over to pick up the vehicle. I'm writing because thanks to Ron Bouchard Auto Stores, my PII has been leaked in the 700Credit breach. The finance team ran my credit through Cars Commerce, who is partnered with 700Credit. I now get to live with this issue for the rest of my life. Even better, the dealership was notified in November of the breach and opted to not notify customers on their own. I just received a letter on January 5th to let me know. Overall I'd say avoid if possible, just another dealership pulling the same nonsense they all seem to with an extra dash of irresponsibility read more

Bought a second car here. Got it for a reasonable price and in a timely manner, but the employees are not the nicest. They got mad that I wanted to verify the odometer reading before signing a paper on it, didn't like explaining when I asked about the headlights and said "We'll just buy your car back from you" (yeah, like I will turn it in for a pre-tariff price and have to pay more to buy a replacement now that steel and other tariffs are in place), and I am missing paperwork. They also gave me a two month old registration, refused to fix this, and only prorated the registration fee by one month. Waiting to see will I be stuck with two months extra excise tax for their mistake. They blamed the state but the RMV said it was the dealership's fault and they didn't follow proper procedure. NO apology, NO offer to make things right. read more

On Saturday October 11, 2025 I dropped my car off at Ron Bouchards Honda in Lancaster Ma. due to a transmission dashboard light on the dashboard of my 2017 Honda Pilot. I was asked to call the service department back on Monday October 13 to speak with the service manager "JJ". After speaking with "JJ" he told me that the diagnosis for the transmission was that it had to be completely replaced at a grand total of $11,287.69 and that there was no repairing it. The diagnose was p084c "Line Solenoid Valve A stuck ON. p177a "Line pressure Solenoid Valve A or Line pressure switch stuck OFF. p2821 "Line Pressure switch stuck ON. They tech drained the transmission fluid and stated that there was excessive clutch material on the drain plug magnet and the fluid was extremely burnt. Interestingly enough I had just had the transmission serviced (flush and fill) not 2-4 weeks earlier at the dealership and they stated that everything looked "great" when it was completed. After hearing of the $11,287.69 bill for a new transmission I told them to not do anything with it until I got back in touch with them. I then called a few transmission shops with one laughing that he had been in the transmission business for over 30 years and had never changed a Honda transmission with 100,000 miles on it ever because they were so reliable. So I had the Honda Pilot towed from Ron Bouchards to a highly recommended transmission garage and they did their own diagnose. The codes all came up the same at the transmission garage as they were at Ron Bouchards. The difference was that the transmission garage simply changed my Line pressure Selonoid valve for less than $500.00 and the Pilot is back on the road and running perfect. I can not believe, nor will I ever give Ron Bouchards and future business after this. I could have spent over $11,000 dollars for a transmission that was not needed and had it completely fixed and running perfectly for less than $500.00 dollars. I also tried to call and talk to a representative after getting texted multiple times to call back about a customer service survey but all messages and calls went unanswered. I would advise caution when using this dealerships service department. How a $500.00 repair could be turned into an over $11,000.00 dollars transmission replacement it beyond me. Good news first. The actual service was easy to schedule, the techs had my car ready earlier than expected. Bad news. I'll never come back to this place. The communication just does not exist. I had a very simple question to the service dept and tried to get the response multiple times. I called the main number 3 times, left voicemail, filled email form on their webpage and submitted it, texted to the tech advisor who supposedly signed messages. No response to any of the above. I contacted the dealership through their webpage and had a useless conversation with the bot. Here is the sample of my chat with it: "You sent First, you should introduce yourself. I don't know your name and position. Second, my complaint is unrelated to the service which was performed today. You can look up all the related info by my name. Third, I dealt with nobody because nobody responded to my emails, calls and messages. Again, you should be able to look that up. Fourth, the phone numbers I used are: 978-345-1800 ( 3 times), 866-579-5331- once, 978-860-3951 - once. Email message was submitted on your website. None of the above has responded. I think that's enough info for you to find out why your service doesn't want to communicate with customers. I'd be interested to see your explanation before my next steps. If i had the choice I would have given a negative star for false advertising and fake price quotes. Beware they will quote you a price and send you a quote in writing but when you arrive at the showroom they will not abide by the numbers they provided. The trick is to lure the customer to the showroom by quoting a low price and not sell you that product. They will rush to earn your business but it's a trap to get a customer to pay the price they want. Bunch of crooks running the business and I would stay as far away as possible. read more

We've purchased and returned for service to the Honda Store on multiple occasions. Always a good experience. They buying experience is decent (as buying a car can be) and compared to all the other dealers in the area, were the easiest to deal with and felt like it wasn't a mine your wallet to make their numbers. Not a high pressure experience compared to neighboring dealerships. RE Maintenance - I'm fairly competent with vehicle maintenance, and will often do moderate difficulty jobs myself. However, during the winter or when time doesn't allow, I'll end up taking my vehicles in to just get it done. I can easily sniff out when someone is selling unneeded maintenance, BS or when someone is guessing at a solution to an issue. So far my in experiences, I've not encountered any honesty issues with the service department. The Honda Store honesty is far higher than most, and work quality meets my own standards for anyone touching my vehicles. I've returned for service dozens of times and always had a good experience. Sometimes it can be a bit pricy for some tasks, (as they use genuine Honda parts) but sometimes that's not always the case! Get an estimate and compare/shop a major job around. You'll find they are on the lower end, or middle of the road price, but quality work as they know Honda vehicles. If you buy a new vehicle, get the Honda maintenance service contract on it and come here! read more

Greck was great to work with and was a nice guy through the whole process of picking out the car and allowing me to test drive. This review is nothing against him. He did great. Everything was great until I had to deal with the finance manager. They came up $1300 on my trade but then added a $1300 wheel/tire warranty to my purchase. I asked Sarah to remove it but was told "The bank wants you to have this coverage". Telling me they would rescind their offer or my interest rate wouldn't be as good if I didn't take the coverage. Asking things like "Well, do you want the car?". I've been told this is illegal. Very high pressure, manipulative and coercive. 7 years after purchasing our first Honda, we returned to Ron Bouchards to purchase again (even requested the same sales rep). Experience was completely different the 2nd time around. The "transparent pricing policy" used to strongly deter us from any negotiating was an insult to our intelligence. We took multiple cars for a test drive before deciding which vehicle worked for us. The price did drop twice but we found that out from monitoring the website, not from our apathetic sale rep. In other words, she directly saved us $0 on the purchase or our Honda trade in. After discovery of a mouse nest built on the engine (on lot for sale for 2 months), we requested another multi-point inspection to re-check vehicle which was eventually done under duress. Finally, after spending days & hours on whole process, the day we pick up our new car, the car we've just spent thousands of dollars on...........about 10 minutes doing one final check of the vehicle (which was certainly required as the engine cover not attached & required a trip into the service bay to fix) we were rudely told to "hurry up" because our sales rep had a "time constraint". I don't know if we could've felt more unappreciated as a customer, particularly a repeat customer. It was unprofessional, inexcusable and borderline offensive how poorly we were treated. Even with a follow-up text the next day apologizing for being "pushy", we will NEVER buy another car here again. Although, I would like to say we have success with having our car serviced here. The Honda Store lets you book your appointment online- super convenient! When you arrive you just drive into the service bay and are greeted by someone. They confirm all your details and get you right in. They direct you to the waiting area that has free Wi-Fi, coffee, water, snacks and lots of seating. Don't get too comfortable though, my appointment was done in less than an hour for oil change, tire rotation and A/C diagnosis. I would have stayed to have the A/C fixed, but I rescheduled for the next day and was out within one hour of my arrival! These guys are great!! read more

This review is based on the car-buying process with the sales department. I started with a different area dealership and test drove a 2018 CR-V EX-L. They told me their price before fees and tax. Afterwards I emailed several area dealerships to inquire about their prices. Ron Bouchard's Internet sales person Katey was very helpful and responsive and was able to work with her team to present a competitive offer. I gave the first dealership a chance and they burned me with an insulting trade-in offer and suddenly insisted that I used their financing which they told me was at a higher rate than what I had found on my own. I went straight over to Ron Bouchards at 4:30pm and was able to work with Yong. He was very helpful, direct and efficient. I got the deal that I was looking for and they were also able to find a lower rate for my financing all within a couple hours. I was able to pick up the car the next day. As a car purchaser it can take time to find the best car and price for your fit, so a person should look around for the best possible deal since you will own this for at least 5 years. My experience here was poor to say the least. The sales person was inexperienced but treated me really great, nice guy, very accommodating in trying to better my experience. When we sat down to talk over the deal as usual they go to another office and bring out their manager on duty. This manager on duty accused me of wasting his time, saying things like I was just playing games. I felt intimated, felt like this manager was going to punch me since he looked and sounded angry. When I looked over at the sales person to see he just put his head down in shame and embarrassment as he should be to see a manager treat a potential customer so rudely. This poor, rude, horrible manager needs to know that purchasing a car can be an expensive deal and I never take spending that kind of money lightly. He also needs to understand that a potential customer needs time to think it over before making such a decision. Most of all this manager needs to be friendly, accommodating and informative trying to convince that this dealership is the best around to help me find a car for my needs which he most certainly failed. I did not take his name which I should have but he was about 5'8 or so, blandish, brown hair and a bit chubby, in his late 20s to early 30s. I purchased a certified 2015 Pilot for my daughter. Here's my experience. Here are 5 simple rules for buying a vehicle from a dealer: 1. Car dealerships sell cars all day, every day - hundreds or thousands a year. You buy maybe a dozen in your life. 2. The dealership is trying to maximize the profit they make on every vehicle. That's their job and it doesn't make them bad people. Your job is to get the best price you can without losing your mind. 3. Ask to see, and then examine the Carfax AND the service history of the vehicle. 4. You need to pay close attention to the numbers. If you're negotiating the price (and you should be) of the vehicle, during the process you'll likely be presented multiple "price sheets" from the dealer with changing numbers each time. They may look something like this: http://fifteenkey.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Car-buying-price-sheets.png My eyes naturally went to the bottom line ("Amount Financed") line, but as I learned, it's important to scrutinize every line. For example, the bottom line may fall closer to where you want it (good), but close examination shows that most of the decrease happened because the "Cash Down" (money you pay out of pocket up front) increased without your consent by $2,500 (not good at all). I didn't catch that until round 3, but it's a good thing I did. As you can see, "Savings" (discount off of the "sticker price") and Trade Value are the significant drivers of decreasing the final price you'll pay. As a side note, in my opinion, the "Doc Fee" is simply dealer profit, but they won't negotiate on it, and "Fees" are typically for registration, plates, and inspection, which brings me to... 5. DO NOT take delivery of a vehicle without the registration in hand, confirmation from your insurance company that the vehicle is registered and insured, and you have an inspection sticker on the vehicle. Otherwise, nine days later you may discover that the loan on the vehicle you traded-in has still not been paid in spite of the 3 emails sent to the General Manager, and the vehicle your daughter is driving is unregistered and uninsured. While under warranty a few issues arose with the vehicle. I called every 2 days as I was told someone would get back to me etc etc. weeks went by. Eventually one manager answered my calls and was good about getting the car in and got the issue recorded while under warranty. Issue is still ongoing though. A credit was due on the account from Honda financial. I still have not received it as it has to be done in the store. No one will take responsibility for it. "A manager will get back to you". Service area was clean, organized and seemingly well staffed. I was treated well throughout even though I opted to not ok the repair i brought it in for. For the diagnostic fee I agreed to, a diagnosis and repair cost estimate were generated. Additionally my vehicle was given a once over for other problem observations (worn brakes, rusted fluid line, shocks and recommended timing belt change etc.) and repair estimates were generated. Sadly, at the end of the day I had to opt to not repair because the costs would exceed the vehicles current book value but I felt as though I got my diagnostics money's worth and could make an informed repair decision. We paid our money in full on May 30, 2017 and got our car on June 7, 2017. The internet salesperson and the salesperson are not honest. We visited this car dealer on May 30, 2017. Before the visit, I called to ask if they have any black 2017 Honda CRV EX in stock. The internet salesperson Melissa answered yes, and we scheduled an appointment. When we arrived on Tuesday, May 30, we were helped by another salesperson Edgar. He was not very patient with us. He told us there was no Honda CRV in stock. They sold all the CRVs on Memorial Day. Then we decided to leave. If they don't have the car, there is no reason for us to stay there. Edgar kept us to wait and he went to talk with a general manager. He then came back saying that they will have the car two or three days later. We can pay today and get the car later. We answered we will go to another dealer, they can call me when they have the car and we will come back if we have not purchased one. Edgar went to talk with the general manger again. The general manager came talk with us. I showed him the price I quoted from another Honda dealer in Cambridge and told him there are about 15 Honda dealers near Boston, we come to this place because it is close to where we live. I told him the color does not matter. The general manager then made a phone call to ask if there is any CRV in stock. We waited another about 30 mins until Edgar told us that it is our lucky day that they have a CRV in stock. It is olive green which is almost black. We then tested the car and asked Edgar if we pay in cash when we can drive the car back. Edgar said tomorrow. We told him we are in a hurry, so if we can not drive the car back today, we will go to another dealer. He said he will try to make it ready today. After the salesperson, we went to talk with the financial manager. The financial manager said it is impossible for us to get the car today because there are about 70 cars in line waiting to be registered. But he said we can get the car on Wed or Thursday. We said fine and paid the cash. They said they will call us as soon as the car is ready. We waited two days, and the car was still not ready. We needed a car to go places. We called on Thursday and was told that Edgar was not at work. The general manager told us that the certificate of origin is missing so we have to wait for more days. We were very angry and told him we will call our bank to get our money back. The general manager was upset and gave us a loaner car for use before we get our new car. We eventually got our car on June 7, eight days after we paid in full. Honda cars are very good but the dealers are not as good. Just keep in mind they might fool you when you buy cars there.
