The most terrible service department of any Ford dealership in New England. I know this from over 20 years of dealing with them. Unless it is major, factory authorized, warranty covered work, don't even consider it, and even then, keep them on a short leash. Last weekend, the oil warning light and sounder in my 2013 Fiesta kept going off. I was down 3 quarts. It turned out that the oil filter had not been tightened adequately during the last oil change, by their own admission! This weekend the action continued. I am not at work today, earning money I desperately need, because my serpentine belt broke last night just as I was approaching my house. The Quick Lane oil change supposedly includes a 28 point safety check. Don't believe such nonsense! At Gervais they are way too lazy and money hungry to involve themselves with such time consuming work. The car now has over 132,000 miles and do you think that even once, during the many times I have come in for oil changes, they would have warned that the serpentine belt is near the end of its life? Of course not. It was the same a couple years ago with the air filter. Only when I brought the car to another Ford dealer service department did they tell me that the original air filter was clogged and needed replacement. Don't you think that at around 80,000 miles you are long overdue to replace the original air filter? Not at Gervais. They couldn't care less. Too much work! But like a fool, I trusted them, and with an extremely busy schedule, I didn't give it much second thought. I can also confirm what another reviewer wrote three years ago concerning brake jobs. Want to let everyone in the neighborhood know you're here? Get a brake job from Gervais and simply apply your brakes! Three years later there is allegedly still plenty of padding left, but most of the time, my front breaks grind like they are down to the bare metal. So, if you think your 21st century life isn't challenging and aggravating enough, have your car serviced by Gervais Ford, where even your oil filter or wheel cover will not likely be installed correctly. Purchased my truck from this dealership. At 30k miles I started experiencing some brake scratching on my F150 that I wanted to get checked out. I saw online that Ford was offering a coupon for a complimentary brake inspection so I called in and made an afternoon appointment. When I went in for the appointment I was told that a brake inspection could only be done if I was having some other work done. I didn't have anything else that needed inspection so I was asked if they could do an oil change. I had that done fairly recently so that was not needed as well. They would not budge on the brake inspection even thought I had the Ford coupon printed out so I just left. I'll get it done at another dealer. I called about an oil change and they told me to come down, then when I got there they said they were busy lol. So I returned the next day and when they got me in and finished, I gave them a coupon and the guy at the desk whined about not giving him the coupon before he typed out the paperwork. I hold five stars for special situations. If you need a car Kevin McNamara at Gervais is who to go find . He made selecting a car after I totaled my Edge sport enjoyable. He treated me right and at the end of the day gave me a very fair deal. I visited two other dealerships closer to my house and walked out of both very unhappy with their horrid sales process (and I train sales process for a living, so I know at least a little bit). If I could give it 0 stars I would. First, months ago I got royally screwed on brakes that didn't even need replacing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt considering at the end of the day it was my decision to get the brakes done despite my better judgement. Before replacing my brakes showed no signs of wear; they were noiseless and not spongey at all. After replacing they squeak, and creak every time I put the car in park. Not worth HALF of what I spent on them. Now, months later I have tried to return to Gervais in hopes that they might redeem themselves but time and time again I am reminded why I should not go. I get an oil change suddenly I have an oil leak. I asked them to check the tire pressure since they were rotating the tires, get back in the car and the low tire pressure light is still on. They couldn't even be bothered to replace the oil change sticker in the corner of my windshield. Last time I brought it they left the emergency brake on just enough that the car drove normal enough for me to make it a few miles away only to be stranded on the side of the road with smoking brakes. Service is truly LAZY, and they ruined any chance to ever redeem this customer. I will never, ever return to Gervais Ford. Ever. read more

Can't say much about sales but service was a nightmare!!!! They had two jobs.. Fix a well-known issue with the windshield on my escape and replace a wheel bearing which according to them was the culprit of a buzzing sound on my passenger side. The wheel bearing- who the heck knows.. It's now making a scraping and grinding sound that it never made before they touched it. They kept my car overnight for what should have been a day job but they didn't start my car until 3pm the day I dropped it off at the request of them " first thing" ... My car is under warrantee and I was not offered a loaner or even a ride home ... Update: I returned to Gervais to have my car done the correct way. Customer service was pleasant, apologetic and attentive. I am pleased but still upset with rookie mistakes! read more

We had some issues in our vehicle that were not repairs affecting how the car drove, however, they were very annoying. We had taken the car to another dealership about 2 years prior and no lie, were quoted about $500 to fix these issues. At the time, we passed on getting these repairs because something just did not sit well. Fast fwd to when we brought the car here, to get a separate issue needing to be fixed, the guy mentioned that they thought they knew what was causing the issues with these other "annoying" repairs & that it would cost a little over $200. My wife and I came to your dealership in April. I was in the market for a CPO F150 Crew Cab EcoBoost. I was driving a $1000 Buick Century at the time. We walked around the lot for 15-20 minutes, opening the doors and sitting inside the different trim packages trying to decide what we wanted. Not one salesman came out to speak with us, nor was there anybody to be found outside. I decided to drive to Pennsylvania for an amazing deal on a CPO Gray F150 Crew Ecoboost 4x4 (19k miles) w/ chrome and towing package. It also had the bed lining and a fold up cap for the bed... All for $29,600. I was socially and racially profiled by your employees and they decided that I was not worth their time to come speak with me and my family about purchasing a vehicle. To be honest, I've never stepped foot on a dealership without having an employee ask me if I wanted assistance, or at the very least give a friendly greeting. We are now in the market for a 2015 Ford Explorer Sport w/ the 3.5 ecoboost V6 fully loaded, MSRP $47,000. But unfortunately for your dealership, we will be going to another local Ford dealer where we feel welcome and are treated respectfully. read more

Been here on multiple occasions. Usually the service is fairly good but i had a vehicle still under warranty. Everyone I spoke to said to bring it in and they would take care of the issue no problem. Gervais had the best hours out of the local dealers so I brought it there. They did the work and tried to charge me for it. When I mentioned the warranty, I got lectured that I was wrong. I called other Ford dealers that told me they were trying to pull a fast one on me and to bring it to them and they would take care of it. After calling this dealer back and telling them that, they comped me the work. In the end it all worked out okay. They apologized but I won't be going back. read more

I've been a customer of Gervais Ford for 15 years. They've been extremely good to us. They are so very accommodating special requests such as coming out to your house to pick up the car. There have been multiple times where we needed work done on the car and any unscrupulous places could have really taken us to the cleaners. They've always been up front about our options and on several occasions talked us out of spending extra money on a repair when they felt it wasn't really needed. My most recent issue involved a mouse and our Ford Focus 2015. The mouse attacked the heating system's blower motor and fan. The entire bill would have been $550 as it was not a warranty issue. However, they used some of Ford's customer loyalty money as well as their own loyalty program and my bill was reduced to $100. I cannot recommend Gervais Ford highly enough. Great work! Nobody likes going to the shop, especially a dealer for service and repairs. I lost my other mechanics after they shut their doors in 2013 after 30 years (15 of them with five vehicles)- so I had to find somebody else. I've cautiously gone back to Gervais Ford in Ayer after several instances of questionable dishonesty with two other local Ford service departments. Gervais Ford has been in business 50 years, steady, reliable like Mark and Rick in their Quick Lane offering, a good reference. Nick a young mechanic responsive & friendly too. Last year I had to replace a parking brake (it was needed), for inspection in August on an Explorer, but after two family rides passed this year, I'm much more pleased. I also took my truck in last June; my high mileage pickup took a front end alignment/ check, assuring me of their integrity-which they have earned! Call it benefit of the doubt, but I believe these people are fair & honest which brings good kudos from this customer. So far so good. If the industry wants to sell domestic made cars, it has to back 'em up in the service bay as well even when the warranty expires. I believe in Ford Motor Company! read more

If you have a HOnda and want to have service performed on it DO NOT LET THEM touch the car. I have used the Quick Lane Service in the past for my Hyundai Elantra and have had no complaints. I did the Works service and got satisfactory results. This time I brought in my new car and to have its first maintenance Oil Change and had them do the Works on it also. Needless to say the tires were fine except they needed to be rotated but the air pressure seemed to be changed because the Air pressure light came on the monitor after I left the dealer . I dont know why this happened unless they did not check the air pressure of the tires. When i brought the car back the next day after the problem came up the person at the desk said well the reason why the idiot light came up is because its a Honda. I looked at the guy and told him that was not the case and why would the problem results from tire rotation when the tires were fine when I brought the Civic in for The Works service. He argued that I should take it to the Honda dealer to correct the problem and I told him emphatically it is not a problem of at Its your problem for not putting in the right amount of air pressure in the tires and to put some more air in the tires to fix the problem. So I sat down and waited about 30 minutes for the car to be serviced again. I was given the keys and I asked was the problem fixed and he said yes. It was obvious they needed to road test the car since the idiot light was still on and has not left the speedometer where it popped up the night i drove it after the tire rotation. SO I am posting this now to help anyperson who might want to use their service to please think about it first before doing it in the future. They have had massive turnover of staff and I believe they are suffering without getting quality people for the job . I will not return and still have a air pressure problem that I will go to my Honda Dealer and get it corrected and use them for now on. read more
