Christmas Motors is a Mom and Pop dealership/service center. 1st used them last year to get my car inspected, standard service center, did the inspection, in out no problem. But no up sell, or mystical problems with the car either unlike some other dealerships (looking at you Bernardi's on rt 9). My wifes car had a broken passenger side mirror. I took it in, they had a look, and after a few days of shopping around trying to find a replacement decided to take what was left of her mirror and cobble it together with a junkyard mirror instead of paying over $500 for a brand new mirror. They went the extra effort to save us money when they didn't have to, they could of just charged us for the part of a new mirror and be on their way, but instead found a way to save their customer some money for just a little bit more labor. We'll be using them as our service center for a long time now. Highly recommend you check them out. I do not know about their sales yet, but will update in a few years because I'll go there first. read more

I highly recommend going here for a used car especially if you're living off a fixed income, have had two excellent experiences there that makes buying a car less of a hassle that's fast but not shady . The 1st car I bought here through Peter was a gold Hyundai Elantra 2008, the car was in great condition mileage all around , minimal problems for the 7 years I owned it and only had to put regular maintenance into it like brakes and belts. It would of been longer if it hadn't been rear-ended and not salvageable , nothing to do with Christmas Motors. They help you with a Loan to pay off the car with reasonable monthly payments through Leominster Credit Union . I recently went back to Christmas Motors without even having to make an Appointment and almost bought another Hyundai Elantra 2012 with Dave who was very helpful and understanding with financial situation , kept in contact about updates honest and friendly . Regardless of not having enough money for the car was happy to receive the help and not get pressured when the decision was made to not buy a car I can't pay for , the place is the * furthest thing from a rip-off phoney Car Dealership that only sells cars to benefit their salaries etc and couldn't care less about others financial hardships . As we all know buying a car can be a slow stressful experience and it certainly helps having a group of knowledgeable warm funny understanding people , convenient hours, with a clean waiting area , free coffee , public restrooms and minimal waiting rooms , give it a chance you'll see ! read more

I've had some troubles with my truck. I had a freaky electrical problem, which resulted from a lightning storm. My truck functioned perfectly, but I could not hook up, and get an emissions sticker, because my on board computer wasn't working. My Dealership was no help. Christmas Motors killed themselves to find the problem, and only charged me for a normal Computer Check. I went to them to get my brakes worked on, and they came in under my expectations. The previous time I had my brakes replaced, I was charged $500, they charged me $300. My whole town of Maynard goes there for cars. I know why, now. My brother-in-law was looking for a car. My sweetie went there, talked to them, and got an honest valuation of what they wanted, and what they wanted to pay. My Beloved, is every Car Salesman's Nightmare. She researches like a madman, knows all the angles, and can make most salesmen cry. She likes these guys, a lot, for their prices and honesty. read more

Christmas Motors carries quality cars, in great condition, with a fixed price lower than others our there. Their customer service is beyond compare. Lee, who runs the Service Department, is extremely knowledgeable about cars and as funny as the day is long. He goes out of his way to help you with your car issues and is very honest. I have not bought a car here yet but have spoken to Peter Christmas a couple of times about it. He really helped me out a few years ago when my car was totaled and I asked him if he'd be able to find me the same model. He was honest and told me he didn't often see my make/model but spent about 20 minutes coaching me about how to deal with my insurance company in valuing my loss. I was recommended to Christmas Motors from a close friend, and after multiple bad experiences elsewhere, decided to give it a try. I was convinced I needed a new clutch & brakes, however once they looked at it they told me it was simply something with my exhaust and some rust stuck in my caliper. Once again a fantastic experience! We bought a car a couple years ago and had a great experience, so we went back. I love Peter's no pressure approach to selling cars. Bought a 2014 Hyundai Elantra in December of 2015 at Christmas Motors in Maynard. The other day it wouldn't start and needed to be towed. Herb Connolly Hyundai in Framingham told us that replacing corroded harness wires would cost $4000 for parts and labor and would not be covered by the warranty. Brought it back to Lee at Christmas Motors. End result - corroded wires were replaced and parts and labor were covered by warranty. This is probably the reason they've been in business for so long. read more

Some time ago I planned to replace my vehicle with the same model of one which I had driven for years, but of newer vintage. They had just what I wanted, but it had some minor problems which I asked to be repaired. They addressed all but the most serious one, which they refused to acknowledge. Being well acquainted with the vehicle, I explained that this was a malfunction and not at all characteristic of that particular vehicle. At this point they became what in my view was quite hostile, and among other things refused to make the repair, accused me of never having intended to purchase the vehicle in the first place and refused to refund my down payment. In short, my experience was so bad that I never went back. I generously award one star because they do have good vehicles, but frankly I would walk before I ever did business with them again. This was my first experience with them and it was Peter who helped me with my "very new" used car. I bought a 2014 Honda Accord with very low mileage. I just came from Christmas Motors in Maynard, MA and I have to say that was the worst experience I've ever had. I went after work to get my car inspected, some young guy told me I was second in line but took a chubby housewife in a blue minivan before me. When I called to complain the older skinny gentleman on the phone said " Its the first of the month, we've been working all day..." oh yeah, the customer who's paying you, who waited 45 mins to only get passed over by your inexperienced staff really cares what you're going through. They may have selection in their used car collection--which seem to be picked up at insurance auction. Be sure to check your CARFAX report. Look at the wrecks picked up at auction next to the used car lot---and I heard they were using duct tape on some of those repairs later. The inspection department is another story. Auto mechanics and testers do not know how to use the old equipment. I've heard of many difficulties with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts regarding the Pass/Fail, and this is their "side business". So, if your car needs work, and it fails the inspection, they are now earning more off you and convince you to use their auto mechanics who are not always supervised or trained. I even alerted Mr. Christmas who was rude and harassed me while I was only trying to pay my $29 and leave his testing station. As I was getting into my car, the young inspection tester was worried about his own job and the fact that the testing equipment had failed yet another car, and it was for TINT. Within minutes, across town, my car passed the TINT meter, and I called back the Head Auto Mechanic and reported the incident, and asked about their plans to scrape the tint off a 15-year old car, increasing their business, when it had just passed at another within minutes. Even their state numeral inspection sign was not changed. No attention to detail in this dumpy little used car lot when it comes to the Christmas staff. Now, who is right here? I do believe it's the other Maynard inspection station. My car later failed a stalled engine, and I would have been paying for TINT on a 15 year old car. I reported Christmas Motors to the RMV and gladly filled out that form and moved on. Buyer beware is always the best policy. read more

Christmas Motors is by far the worst company I have ever done business with. Up until now I have gone to Christmas Motors several times a month for a rental car. This time around I rented a car for a month at an agreed weekly fee with the company. The first issue I had with the company is it was agreed that I would pay the full amount when the car was returned. They then went against our agreement and charged my credit card during the time I had the car. This was annoying because they clearly went against what was agreed and never notified me that they were going to be doing that, but it was something I could deal with. My opinion of this company went from alright service to horrible and easily the worst service I have ever dealt with today July 16, 2012. I returned my rental car last night and this morning to my surprise my bank statement was way off. The owner of the company Peter Christmas overcharged my credit card by a month. Peter decided somehow that I have had the car for 2 months instead of the month in which I actually had it for. I caught this in my bank statement so I called down and talked to Peter. He told me he made a mistake and that he was going to refund me the extra month he charged my card. Then once again he goes against his word. He decided it would be a better idea to charge my card again for the correct amount without consulting me about this charge at all. So now I am overcharged for about $1000 dollars and the money I was counting on for the day is no longer available. I have called several times for him to tell me there is nothing he can do and I am beating a dead animal. Peter Christmas was absolutely useless and when I requested a check for the voided balance he told me "that's great but it's not going to happen". I have never in my life been so disrespected by any company and dealt with someone so unwilling to help when it comes to mistakes they made. read more
