I would leave one star if possible.I have been a loyal customer for several years and have had both front and rear brakes serviced on my GMC 1500.The vehicle has been in for service multiple times for brake related service since replacing all four brakes.Most recently I brought my truck back for another front brake issue.Dave informed me new calipers, rotors,and pads were necessary.He stated this is due to the vehicle sitting although the problem originated prior to several months of nonuse.I questioned him many times about the brake issues and decided to go to another auto repair shop.I was informed by the new shop that the calipers were fine and the pads wore to sticking rotors which should have been lubricated.The cost is now $500 vs $1300.I would not recommend this dealership for repairs as they must be motivated by production and not honesty. read more

After three months the radio failed, the windows don't work, the defrost doesn't work, they used nail polish to cover the buttons inside the car. The radio goes on and off by itself. This review is solely based on my experience at the Inspection Bay. We walked in today around 4:20, and my husband asked if they were still open for inspection. He only had his credit cards, and the guy working there with glasses said only check and cash...which is fine except that he had the most disgusted look on his face as though he had just pooped in his pants. My husband ran back to the car to check his wallet, and while I was left alone with our daughter, the man still had a very uncomfortable look until I started speaking. FYI my husband has a pretty strong accent, and I don't have an accent. The change in his behavior was quite noticeable. Granted, there were signs on the wall that they only accept cash, it is possible that some people will miss that when in a hurry, which we were. And you know what - it is totally OK to just explain that you only accept cash or check.. it is called basic human interaction. No need for a disgusted and bewildered look especially when my husband was not trying to get his way. We will not be returning here for inspection or any auto work since whatever about people or foreigners with accent makes this ridiculous man incredibly rude. read more

Swanson did NOT have prejudicial attitude towards people who did NOT purchase their vehicle at their location. In my estimation, Swanson treated all customer equally whether direct car sales customer or not. My Experience: I went in for a basic service, first oil change and tire rotation. I also had an issue where I noticed the paint was peeling and assumed it was a defect. As I could not get back before closing Matthew Kelley asked me to come back at my availability and convenience. I went back the following morning in between meetings and he stopped everything he was doing, put my car on the lift and pointed out an area where a small dent had occurred causing the paint to peel. He also took photos and emailed them to me so that I could explain when visiting an auto body shop which to me went above and beyond any service I had previously experienced relating to car servicing. read more

Living near Norwood, I would always do my car shopping somewhere along the famous Norwood Automile due to the convenience of its location. When I was researching for a used Buick LaCrosse I could not locate one along the Automile, but did come across one that was located at Swanson Buick GMC. I usually wouldn't drive out that far, but since I was having no luck with the Automile, I gave it a shot. I ended up having a great experience at the dealership and ended up even buying the car I went to see. Swanson is much different than the big auto stores around my area. The people who work there have been there for a long time and really want to serve the customer. I felt at home with no pressure to buy and the ability to ask all the questions I like. I called Swanson's service department and they said they had the part in stock and to bring it in. I brought it to them and they fixed it while I waited.
