If you find a great car repair shop, you're torn between wanting to tell the entire world and keeping it a secret, since the real deal is so hard to find. Artisan is the real deal. Cliff and Boomer are not only VERY good at what they do, but they have the two rarest qualities in repair guys: they're dead honest and incredibly fair about pricing. My wife and I have brought our cars to them for years, and every single time, without fail, they do what they say they'll do, they tell us what does NOT need to be done, and their fees are comparable or cheaper than anyone else around. One thing I hate about moving is finding a new good mechanic. From previous experience, half of them seem to really enjoy milking every minute of that hourly labor cost. Cliff and Boomer are neither of these two stereotypical mechanics. I had quite a few pressing matters (for me at least--check engine light comes on freak out fest ensues). When I took it down there (on a number of occasions, mind you) they did a complete look over and made suggestions off what my car needed, not what their wallets wanted. Another thing that really impressed me about Artisan was how flexible they were with taking in my car (number of times being an emergency). This isn't your repair shop that will turn you upside down and shake you until every last penny falls out of your pocket--unlike previous repair shops I had been a patron of. Friendly, reliable, fast, honest, and always looking for ways to save their customers money. Girls always hear nightmare stories about mechanics taking advantage of them and their lack of knowledge, but the team here (especially Cliff) went out of his way to explain what was wrong and the simple, inexpensive part that was needed.
