Gluten free carbonara and garlic bread
Jessica H.

Everyone we interacted with was so nice. Super attentive staff. Cute decor. My kids got the Alfredo kids meal. Both loved it! My son licked his plate clean and my daughter was sad because we are on a road trip and can't easily come back. I was very impressed with the gluten-free garlic bread! So many gf garlic breads are just toast or pizza... this looked and tasted just like the real thing! The carbonara was very filling. Not a fan of the large raw onions but everything else was flavorful and tasty.

Food was great. Kids got Alfredo, wife and I got pizza. It is worth the price which isn't bad at today's prices. Clean inside and the service was on point. Definitely give them a try. Their calzones are great as well. I appreciate the water is either filtered or bought because it tastes great. 9.5atars

This pasta was so comforting and flavorful. The sauce was rich but not too heavy, and the noodles were cooked just right. I added some parmesan and it took it to the next level. Cozy place with really warm service.

We were traveling through Ontario on our way home to Salem and were hungry. I looked on Yelp and saw the good reviews for this place, so we had to stop. We were greeted and led to a table next to a party of 8 or so people. (There were three of us in my party.). We couldn't hear each other so there wasn't much talking happening for us. The waiter came to take our order and we had to repeat ourselves because it was so loud. Its our fault for not asking to move but we were tired and didn't want to be a hassle to the host. When our drinks arrived one of our glasses had a big crack in it. When we told the waitress she looked at it and carried it in the kitchen where no one seemed at all concerned. It was such a weird reaction. We ordered chicken Parmesan, fettuccine alfredo, and a build your own calzone. I asked for broccoli, capers and roasted garlic. The chicken parm was dried out and had a weird/dried out texture. The alfredo sauce was was runny like soup. The calzone had approximately 2 pieces of broccoli that had been cut up really small. The "roasted" garlic was not roasted and that's not what we asked for. There were capers. The unfortunate part was the cheese. Its hard being a vegetarian and getting everything with so much cheese. It was basically a cheese calzone with a bite of broccoli. We won't be visiting here again.

Such a great pizza find here in our overnight trip through Ontario, Oregon. We had the Zorba and the Olympian and it was such great flavor without too much sauce and a good crust. Had a little help picking out a wine to go with which made the service fantastic. Thanks Romio's for a great tasting dinner!!

First of wanted to say the staff was great and the lady serving us was very attentive and consistently checked on us. Romio's is a poor man's Olive Garden. From torn cushion seats to cracked walls that are most definitely not decorative, save yourself the stop and drive the extra 45 minutes to Boise for dinner. My wife got the chicken Parmesan, but the chicken was dry and tasteless and the cheese on the pasta was greasy and overbearing. I got the four cheese baked spaghetti, which was my own mistake because I didn't realize the 4 in the name meant how many pounds of cheese they were going to put on my dish. And all of the pasta sauce was on the bottom of the dish, which meant I had to dig through an inch of melted greasy cheese to even find spaghetti and eventually the sauce. The only part of my meal I enjoyed was the Shirley temple my wife got and the salads that came with our entree's.

Drove from Jackson Hole to Ontario Oregon today. After taking a well deserved rest we really needed a good dinner. Stopped by and was warmly forested and seated by the hostess. Our server Cindi was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I ordered the fettuccine carbonate with a ceasar salad. The salad cane.out very quickly and was very tasty. Just the right amount of dressing too. Not too little or too much. The Carbonara was warm, light, and flavorful and the fettucini noodles had a homemade consistency to them. The bread that came with the entree was crispy, warm, soft, and flavorful. A perfect bread to dip into the sauce. I am really impressed and I can't wait to enjoy the tiramisu I brought home for later. I'm definitely giving this place a stop on my way back.

Always delicious! Never had a bad meal or experience from Romio's. I usually order pasta, but I'm sure the rest of the menu is great!

The last time I ate here, I really enjoyed our meal so I knew I was in store for a good lunch. I arrived first. I hung out for a bit. Raylyn (sp) greeted me and asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I had a flavored water so I content for the moment. My friend finally showed up shortly after. We got started on the foccacia bread and olive oil/balsamic dip. The bread was good but it wasn't warm like the previous time. It was nicely seasoned and buttery on top. The olive oil/balsamic dip is so good with it! We breezed over the menu while we were enjoying the bread. Raylyn came and took our order. We ordered some fried mozzarella to share. For lunch I got a side of meatballs and my friend got the chicken parm on pasta with a side salad. The fried mozzarella was so good! The piece of mozzarella that was fried was so thick! I had a fourth of one of the cheesesticks. I didn't want to get too full when I still had meatballs coming. My meatballs were so good! It was generously covered in their marinara sauce. It was rich in tomato with a slight heat to it, so good! My friend's chicken parm pasta was a generous portion! I probably could have made 3 meals off of his plate. He enjoyed the chicken of course and had some of the pasta. We couldn't end lunch without some birthday dessert so my friend got some cannolis started. This is my first time trying a cannoli and woooooow! It was so good! The cream in the middle had a orange flavor to it with some chocolate chips. The exterior of the cannoli was crunchy and sweet. The ends were dipped in semi sweet chocolate and was so good! I probably could have polished 2 more but I was so full from lunch. Next time I'm going to just have the bread and cannolis. That dessert was perfection. Lunch was fabulous today. Our food and dessert were divine. Raylyn did a marvelous job taking care of us! She was kind, attentive and is great at customer service. I can't stop thinking of those cannolis and I look forward to coming back soon to have some more!

We understand it was busy but at some point you have to manage your tables better.... We waited so long, we asked for our boxes and meals to go before it was even served to us. I really wanted to get this place more stars but at this point it's probably a three star if not a 2 1/2. I can't judge the food or anything else based on the lack of consideration or Manning in the place since we came..

A reservation was made and we made our way in Saturday to celebrate. My husband and I were late arriving cause of work. But my family and friends got drinks and apps started. I wasn't expecting them to wait but I'm happy that they did! The drinks and apps kept them at bay till we arrived. The venue is stunning! I love the decor here. I have always been intrigued with European vintage decor and this restaurant is beautifully devoted decorated with this kind of esthetic. Such a romantic setting. The rich deep red wall. The ornate vintage frames. The plants. It's truly a beautiful set up. After my husband and I got settled in and drinks ordered, we got dinner placed. I got 2 orders of meatballs and my husband got the seafood pasta. While food was being worked on, everyone shared the bread and balsamic olive oil dip that was on the table. I heard the bread was good. I didn't get a chance to try it since it was communal. Our meals were slowly trickling out. My meatballs looked amazing! My husband's plate looked fabulous. You can see the shrimp, mussels, clams.... We all became quiet and started on our meals. My meatballs were huge! I have had meatballs at other restaurants and have been hungry still. The size of these babies let me know I was not going to have that issue. It was nicely covered in marinara. A hearty covering of parmesan. Everything about the meatballs were great! I have severe fomo so of course I had to try my husband's plate. I tried a couple of his penne. I was really thrown back at the heat of the sauce. I tried another bite and it was still spicy. The spice was something neither one of us were expecting. Before I say anything to our server, I did look over the menu to see if we missed anything in the description of the dish. No chili was listed. Nothing about it being garnished with chili flakes. From reading the menu, no spice was described in the dish. My husband has a real sensitive pallet so I asked the manager/owner why spice wasn't indicted in the menu. We wouldn't have ordered it if there was. The manager said they can remove the sauce and add new sauce that didn't have chili flakes in it. "It would make it less spicy." I was actually surprised he didn't suggest a new dish that didn't have heat in it. We were complaining about the heat and I honestly don't think replacing sauce that has spice in it with new sauce with spice will do anything.... but hey, we went with it. The second dish was made and dropped off. Unfortunately, the sauce was still spicy and my husband could barely eat it. He ate the seafood which was a few pieces of shrimp, clams, bay scallops, mussels and fish. This dish was drowned in this sauce so there was no way to eat the seafood with the sauce. This dish is 34 bucks and my husband could barely finish the seafood. Our server was kind and got me birthday dessert. The chocolate cake was killer good! It wasn't overly sweet. The frosting was rich in chocolate and the cake was super moist. I only took a couple bites and took the rest home. I was not going to leave this bad boy behind. We spent a little over 70 dollars on dinner to have my husband leave hungry. I came home and made him a second dinner. Nothing more disappointing than spending that much money just to come home and eat again. Money is tight for everyone so the fact that we chose to come here and spend our heard earned money to have my husband hungry just makes my heart sad. Overall, my meatballs and cake were good. Service was great. The venue is very pretty. But, having my husband eat a meal that was poorly described in the menu is just disappointing and having him leave husband is upsetting. I'm happy I got to try it out but I don't think we will be hitting up this joint again any time soon.

The blurb suggested getting a side of sausage gravy to dip kalachi in. My partner likes sausage gravy & thought it sounded good. I picked it up and although it now seems a bit rookie of me, I took the tied up bag, paid & left. Getting home I discovered there was no gravy. I was charged 2.29 for the side. I'm outside of city limits & too hungry to make the 15-20 minute drive back in to get gravy missed. Called to see if some type of credit could be done. They sell doughnuts as well so possibly a doughnut credit? I was told they couldn't do anything for me. They couldn't credit my card... ok, but apparently crediting a name on a sticky note for a doughnut couldn't be possible either. No other options were offered. Although it's not a lot of money for something I didn't receive, their "can't do anything for you", left a bad taste. The croissant ordered was soggy & tasted old.
