Seated quickly. Friendly service. Prices a bit high for what you get. Scrambled eggs were flat and a little overcooked. Home fries and sourdough toast were good. Nice family owned restaurant . Driving thru from Idaho back to California . Service was good and food good. The roast beef was a bit over cooked and sliced in square pieces making it harder to keep in the sandwich and eat. However serving size was large. Ambiance is dated . Patrons can choose to sit either in booths or tables. We choose to sit in the booth. Seats were ripped. All the seats in their booths needed upholstery . Nonetheless , I'm happy ate here . The burger had carrots on it which is disturbing if you're not prepared. They should do away with that. The kitchen area you can see looks like it needs paint so it seems dirty. Lobby and dining area are nice enough. Overall the food was good and the prices werent bad either. Vegi omelet was good as well. Service was good. Overall rating of "good" 7/10* read more

We came to Erika's Kitchen following a camping trip to Mundo Hot Springs outside Cambridge. The parking lot was nearly full on a Sunday morning, a good sign for a couple who hadn't eaten there before. I ordered chicken-fried steak with cream gravy, scrambled eggs and hash browns. The servings were ample and all the food was tasty. Kristy ordered finger steaks and proclaimed them good, as well. Service was prompt and friendly. This is your average, family-owned diner; warm on charm and stick to your ribs fare. We had breakfast and a burger, and everything was cooked as requested. There was a lot of food for the money, so the value is also there. Service was good, but it was obvious the place had too few people doing too many things to keep the operation working, but that's most small family restaurants these days, so that's entirely forgivable. We were looking for a culinary revelation in the small but not insignificant town of Payette Idaho. We may have found it. We went to Erika's Kitchen, and a server motioned us over to Erika's sitting booth. A non-Erika server game us menus. Ambiance was good except that Erika's booth was a little sticky and Erika's cushions were very sparkly but ripped. Erika came, in the flesh, and we ordered. I ordered Erika's combo. Ericka obviously understands portion sizes because it was only 10$ but Erika's combo was a solid breakfast AND lunch for the day. I got biscuits n' gravy, eggs and hashbrowns. So very disappointed in this place. A group of four of us traveled to Payette to fish this morning from Meridian Idaho, then went to Erika's for lunch. Erika was our waitress. We ordered four breakfasts plates. I ordered a regular egg, cheese and sausage sandwich on a muffin. It took forever to get our food as we watched others who came in after us get served first. Then three in our party received their food except for me - no egg sandwich. Naturally, everyone waited for me to get my food so we could pray and eat together. About 5 minutes later my sandwich was delivered but the cheese was totally cold. I requested it be melted in my sandwich. McDonald's does it better. Again, our table waited and waited for my sandwich. By the time we all had food, everyone else's food was not very hot anymore. Meanwhile, the entire time we ate we waited for my husband's toast. Erika delivered the toast about five minutes after being reminded and then ignored the fact that my husband had finished eating his breakfast. She's the owner of the restaurant. One would think she had more social awareness. No apologies, no offer of a discount, nada. She said, "Nice and hot" as she set the toast before him and his empty plate. Then on top of that, our bill had a $3.50 service fee added! Need I say more? Ok I will ... overall the food was 'eh. The customer service was genuinely not impressive. We'll be back to Payette to fish but never to Erika's. read more

I ordered just the basics, scrambled egg, biscuit, hash browns, and gravy. It was all decent and good. My husband absolutely loves their food and buys his coworkers breakfast from there consistently. Service was fast and efficient, not very friendly was the only down fall. Will try again. read more

My husband & I frequent here often and for a good reason. We are never disappointed. The food is always excellent. Just when my husband declares something is his favorite he tries something different & it's his new favorite. Just yesterday he had the corned beef hash. I had the Irish Benedict. This is real tender corned beef! And generously portioned! Another favorite the hot beef sandwich with home cut fries! "This is Idaho. The way fries should be!" Not to mention the chili burger (he gets it bunless)...and loves it! Always asks for extra onions and is obliged. I love the omelettes, again, always generously made. I can take 1/2 home & enjoy it a second day. Only open till 3 pm so get there early in the day. Popular place judging by the parking lot. read more

We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. My wife ordered eggs Benedict and I had a chorizo omelette. The eggs in the Benedict were almost half raw and the Hollandaise tasted like a can. On the plus side, my omelette was good, but my toast was soggy and the fried potatoes were cold and undercooked. We will not return. The server was friendly, but very distracted. Took forever to get coffee and we had to ask repeatedly for things we needed like a to go box or our check. Other establishments will get our business henceforth. read more

A friend and I came in while on vacation from out of state. The server messed up my friend's order and then blamed us for the mix up and charged us for it as well. When I asked for our check to be fixed and for the drink I never got to be removed we were blamed again but the check was fixed. When I got home I realized I was charged for the meal we paid for and the meal with the error. I called to get a refund for the 2nd transaction and the same server said I needed to bring in the 2 receipts and bank statements. When I told her I wasn't given a 2nd receipt or else I would have know there was an error and that I lived out of town I was told to email them my 2 receipts and bank statements. When I asked for their email address she wouldn't even give it to me and directed me to their Facebook page. Very unprofessional and rude considering she made the errors in the first place. read more

My wife and I stopped by for lunch on Friday afternoon at about 1:30pm. We ordered, then I washed my hands in the restroom and it was disgusting. I mentioned to our server that it needed attention. We got our food and started eating and the young girl employee started mopping... literally right next to our table; I'm surprised she didn't ask us to lift our feet. Our food smelled and tasted like bleach and dirty mop water. I also mentioned that to the server and she said they need to mop when no people are there. I said, we're not people? If you want food that smells/tastes like dirty mop water and bleach; and want to be considered not a person, then eat here. read more

I was food poisoned from here by a BLT sandwich and potato salad. Had me down 4 days, including Thanksgiving, and 2 work days. I know it was, because it was all I ate that day, within 2 hours, I was cold, sweating, and my stomach was a mess. Amazing what a pair of dirty hands can do. read more
